I'd neve be able to look my dad in the eye again. Amy is fine, and I hope she makes the team. But that video is really unflattering and I'm not really sure what the point is.... I was trying to compare photos of the "old" boots with the "new" boots and it looks like the new sole is thinner. I like the slightly thicker sole on the old boots, and even though I understand the new ones are better for dancing, the thinner sole kind of makes them look, I don't know, cheap or something? If I were Kelli, I wouldn't want a girl who would participate in such a performance on my team. It isn't my kind of thing but it is damn hard to be a working entertainer (actor, musician, dancer) and I'd think it wouldn't be a good thing to be too limiting in what you won't do. GingerJ you said it much better than I could. FTR, my issue with Yuko is only partially about the preferential treatment she's receiving. Yes, it's K&Js call on who gets away with what, but again, hypocrisy raises it ugly head. Even more so though, I look at this from an employers perspective. When I'm screening applicants for a job I look at their skill set, their attitude and their reliability. If someone doesn't have the last one? The first two don't matter - being able to do the job and want to do the job means nothing if there are issues that could cause you to not be there to actually DO the job. Yuko's visa issues may or may not be her fault, and while I have sympathy for her, there are how many are other girls still there that could do the job and be less of a risk? If she's on a temp visa right now, that's something that will hang over the entire TEAMS head this season. What choreographer or DCC is going to joyfully rearrange formations so a rookie candidate can manage her immigration issues, especially when you've had Angela and Jinelle taking care of business for over 5 years. I'm just saying it's a hassle no one in the DCC organization needs. They have more important things to deal with, like trying to find the ugliest ass moo-moo from Belks to put their hottest cheerleader in. Actually I could see there being a new punishment for missing weight, being late, or not pinning stars on correctly. Wear a Belk dress during practice. 3 Link to comment

But yes, I get it they have worked and trained for the honor of dancing for Snoop, who I DO like as much as I like any pot smoking rapper. And that really is saying a lot!!! I'm just not a huge rap fan. I much prefer pot smoking white collar guys in nice suits. also, for anyone under 25 who's in training camp, I'm old enough to be their moms so I just look at things like that a lot differently than I would have 10 years ago, and certainly at their ages!!! Angela's twerking didn't seem trashy to me, neither does any of the moves I've ever seen the DCC do, especially the butt popping move they do in a lot of their dances, but the moves in that video do - especially Amy. M1977G July 23, 2016 Share July 23, 2016 (edited) I don't have a judgement on whether the Snoop video was trashy (so I guess I don't think it is), but I do think that the dancing looks, as some others have said, like some random girls got up on stage spontaneously. Except that they're all wearing the same unremarkable outfit. While the video is short, the dancing looks like a hot mess to me--sloppy and unplanned. Vivian almost looks lazy to me, and they get totally distracted when Dez B gets on stage with them. In that sense, I do think DCCs would have done better than that--more polished and committed--even if they were doing similar moves. To me, the dancers in this video just look thoroughly unprepared. Snoop is a professional performer and I imagine he was looking at these dancers like, wtf is this? They looked like total amateurs to me. One of the raunchiest I recall on this board was a clip of former DCC Erica Jenkins with her butt totally hanging out of daisy Dukes for some country singer. i really don't thjnk this is a race or genre issue. Put those same moves with any performer and they'd look raunchy. That said, the DCC do some very similar things. in the end, some people just don't like Amy and will criticize anything she does.
