Impeaching Trump is not a top priority, but forcing a weakened Trump to confront the Democratic nominee.

Eugene Robinson is mad at the Sclapp family for taking a Limo to the NBC after party & buying a $3 million house. Eugene is mad that Trump is turning people into "Real Americans" vs the Media Elite.

Mika is muttering about porn stars again!

Eugene wants Democrats to be considered to be real people as well.

Joe is mad that the tax cuts helped the richest Americans.

Joe is mad at Trump for not being populist. Joe is mad that Hannity makes more money than him.

I have to say I really enjoyed that conversation about Pence putting distance between himself and Trump (that I knew) but I guess his efforts have been accelerated to accommodate a 2020 run as he knows there is going to be an opening at the top of the ticket so to speak.  He also has to watch out for Nikki Haley.  I knew most of it already but it was interesting to hear all the dots connected on air plus no one was trampled during the discussion.

And may I say Phil Rucker looked very sporty today in his check suit coat!

I tuned in for the 8:00/repeat of an earlier hour.  Just in time to hear the introduction of KCDC and Meeka asking where the lightning bolt was...never noticed it before but she is really passive aggressive, isn't she?  Like she is so happy to see Kasey but just has to demean her a little.    And then Joe cut her (Meeka) off.  For me, that made the whole show.  Wonder how Meeka would feel if they used a sound intro for her?  And it was in bad taste and annoying to boot.

I saw a new MSNBC promo this morning. It looked like nearly all of their talking heads except for these two. (Unless I missed them - altho I saw it twice.) I was thinking OK, it's just the evening lineup but then I saw Stephanie Ruhle and Joy Reid and they're morning peeps.

He does seem to be more boorish than usual today but showing him/her clips aren't going to change the climate on that set.  Joe's been a smarmy tool since he first joined the network and Mika and her multiple personalities doesn't help.  Their show is the only show that has this vibe.  You can put the exact same guests on different shows and the viewing experience is a 180.  I've been watching more this week because CNN has David Gregory on and he irritates me more than they do.  I look forward to either Cuomo coming back or Berman starting his permanent gig so I can go back to ND.

Harry doesn't berate her in front of others, and Meghan actually does know her value. She's been standing up for women since she was a young girl, she got Procter & Gamble to change an ad campaign so it didn't berate women as just the homemakers.

I guess it's wishful thinking on my part but I was more taking it as they know Mueller has the goods on Trump and he won't be a factor in the 2020 elections.  I did not hear/see anything about Lewandowski but it is yet another interesting piece of the political pie that is the Trump White House.

I've been MJ-free for about two weeks now and I'm doing fine.  The days seem a little longer, less stressful.   I'm not as engaged in the news.  Trump's antics no longer set the tone of my day as they did when I listened to Scarborough ranting about them before breakfast.   I know Scarborough and Mika are hypocrites but they seemed like useful hypocrites up until the morning following Michelle Wolf's appearance at the Nerd Prom.   That's when I realized the rent was too damn high and shut them off for good.   I highly recommend it to everyone.

I was off work for a few days last week and didn't watch much either.  It is very relaxing to not have this insanity blaring at you morning and night.

I started watching this in January of 2017 after retiring. I initially found it satisfying to hear them when they started turning on Trump and I would actually set my alarm to wake up for it.  I think, like everyone else, I've just grown weary of Joe & Mika's shenanigans, and really weary of all things Trump.  I do appreciate coming here to read what you guys are saying because now I mostly just turn it on for a short time and then start my day.

I tuned in just in time to see the man and woman (sorry, but I don't know their names and don't recall seeing them before...both were passionate) giving their strong opinions over the Palestinian situation and Hamas; I found it really interesting.  And they actually got to talk for a bit and have a pretty good back-and-forth.  Then.  Joe started bloviating...loudly.  He surely does remember  the success(es) of the Reagan administration; as do all Republicans who bring them up as talking points on MJ.  But Joe kept going and going; I am not sure he if stopped for breath; Meeka looked fascinated by his every word.  The entire rhythm of the show came to a halt so Joe could brag on his conservative credentials; oh, and he managed to work Zbig into his trip down memory lane;  Meeka coyly asked him to stop. I cannot cannot believe his audacity and ego which seem to be getting bigger.  Please please  someone make him stop talking.  I switched to New Day then CBS This Morning.  It gave my ears a break; this morning is the first time that his quiet shouting has made me immediately flip the channel.  He must exhaust himself.

Recently, I've been enjoying the last 1/2 to an hour of the show.  This morning, Katie Couric is on and they are talking about political correctness and the last of her series called America Inside Out. I like the author interviews.

I briefly checked in a couple of times earlier but caught the show once when Joe was was going on and on about whatever (tuned him out), when Joe was bashing past Presidents, and later when Mika was muttering while he was talking.  I've been trying to stay away from the negativity about the show, but am getting tired of the sameness.  One option is to watch the last hour only and then pick up Stephanie Ruhle for the latest news. We use this time for breakfast and to talk and read the newspaper.  This would make for a late morning for us. By 8am I'm usually ready to step away from the TV.

It looks like Mika and Joe think that the part of the show where she mutters is entertaining. Another part of their shtick is when Mika begins to read something and Joe acts like no one would do or say what she is reading about, and he over talks her.  I am becoming convinced that this is all planned but it has gone on too long.

This is a terrible situation, but Israel is making it worse instead of better. There is no reason for Netanyahu to be such an asshole, other than he's Israel's version of Donald Trump and plays to his base of hardliners.  A more moderate leader could show compassion for the Palestinians, and help them to get democratic elections and get out from under Hamas & the PLO. Instead he just keeps taking more land, imposing more restrictions and then he can say "see I told you they're nothing but terrorists". 

And that Nicki Haley bitch walking out of the UN meeting when the Palestinian entered the room.

She's awful. When she was a student at Columbia she tried to have Muslim professors fired because they are Muslim (and that made her uncomfortable, or something). She actually says out loud and in public that Palestinians, adults and children, died for the PR and photo op.

YES  x 1,000,000.  This show has morphed into bad sit-com territory.   It's embarrassing for me as a woman to watch her sit there, taking on barbs and insults and dismissive behavior from her so-called boyfriend, while touting that Know Your Worth stuff.  Seriously, how clueless can one person be????   It very likely could be all planned out by the two of them; in the end, it only makes Meek-a look dumb and bullied.  What a hypocrite.

Ok, I've seen about two or maybe three of the new promos and I think the reason why the Butch and Sundance aren't included in them is because they aren't journalists.  Just a couple of talking/bulldozing/teleprompter reading heads.  I can't believe they let Ronan Farrow go and keep these two around.
