There are unconfirmed reports that Mika & Joe flew to Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin. Joe believes it's time for a new approach to Putin. Mika believes that she should talk with Putin rather than at him. Mika also loves Russian caviar. They should be back next week.

Rev Al's charity did receive $500K from Kamala Harris. Will the network take action against him?

https://www.mediaite.com/news/msnbc-acknowledges-al-sharptons-non-profit-received-donation-from-the-harris-campaign-ahead-of-on-air-interview/

That could have been classified as a consulting fee. Apparently even tho the campaign raised $1 billion, they're $20 million in debt. And they still need to honor their promise to pay staff til the end of the year. (Hence the continuing texts begging for $$).

Why the f*** would she approve handing Al Sharpton half a million dollars for anything other than him helping get out the vote and advising on how to reach voters?

Rev Al did give her an interview on his prestigious show Politics Nation after he received payment.  Rev Al's endorsement should have helped her win more of the African American vote.

Surely they won't be back until Monday!! If MSNBC didn't notice people watching when the Mr. and Mrs. are away, I am sure they are now!!

My goodness it's SO nice to watch the program with Willie and Lemire hosting.  Guests are allowed to speak. Topics of interest are discussed, instead of whatever column in the WSJ or Financial Times Joe latched onto, in his lame attempt to impress people.

It's like we don't need Joe yelling and  repeating his inane talking points over and over like some tin pot dictator trying to convince the people he knows what he's talking about.

OMG more sports talk!!! Dodgers trading and re-signing players.  Just an hour ago they talked about the CFP, Aaron Rodgers retiring, etc.  I guess 45 after the hour is the new sports talk segment. I'm here for it. Suck on your straw Mika. Stomp around the kitchen. People are watching the show!! BECAUSE YOU AND JOE AREN'T THERE!!!

I'm not a sports fan but I enjoyed the sports segment this morning because (1) no Mika sighing, interrupting or rushing it along; (2) no Joe finding amusement in his own story about whatever sports event from decades ago, and if I could add one more, (2.5) no Jason Johnson being rude to Pablo Torre and calling him "Ben."

I could have done without the Pat McAfee/Aaron Rodgers video clip (both are raging nutballs IMO) but Pablo is always welcome.

Don't miss Joe. Don't miss Mika. They are hypocrites and only in this for the money and perceived influence.  MSNBC: save yourselves $16 mil a year and show these losers the door.

Interesting that other anchors are doing shows this week. But JoMika are off pouting somewhere.

Nicolle was on Tuesday.    FFS even Andrea Mitchell, aka elderly woman who keeps showing up at the office even tho no one knows why, did a report on the Israel/Hezbollah ceasefire.  It was brief and we could actually understand what she said for once.

I join in on enjoying the sports talk; except Joe thinking we love to hear him bloviate about the Yankees/Red Sox and his usual ego-driven riffs.  Like it or not, sports enthusiasm is one of the things I love about our country. I digress. But even it if wasn't .... it is a break from politics. It would be different if this network covered anything else besides politics. It is exhausting and has driven me away.

But please don't go the way of CNN and bring on a Bill Maher or Pat Mcafee. Actually, anyone considered edgy or ego-driven.

I agree!  This time of year college football is a big deal, no matter what stick up her butt Brzezinski thinks. Joe and Mika think the show is about them and what THEY think and want. No actually you should serve your viewers. Report and inform. No one cares what you think, Joe.  You've shown your allegiance and opinion changes to suit your own purpose.

Let us know how that works out.

Wow.  That's quite a wild swing from CNN.   Or maybe it isn't?  They both command large audiences and are both very influential and of-this-moment.  The Venn diagram of Pat McAfee's audience and Joe Rogan's is a single circle.

No, Mcafee is not on CNN. But he does have a huge audience that many outlets probably envy. Maher? Not so much; used to really like him. At least Pablo has a Harvard degree. Meeka! He must know his value!

Joe is outraged at Kash Patel's nomination for FBI Director. Milley and Bill Barr opposed him in the first Trump administration.

Patel wants to arrest journalists.

Pete's mom wrote an email complaining about her son's behaviour.

Trump would have to fire Wray to replace him with Patel.

Patel is dangerous and has no qualifications to be FBI Director.

He is too loyal to Trump. Lemire called him Ultra Maga!

Patel believes in conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.

Bill Barr is Joe's new hero.

Joe said there are patriots in the GOP Senate that will vote down Patel.

Mitch, Lisa, Chuck & Collins will band together like super heroes and defeat Patel.

Biden pardoned his son. Ken was upset that Biden said his prosecution was political.

Biden walked away from an immunity deal.

Biden's pardon includes any potential crimes he may have committed over the past 10 years.

Joyce Vance supports the pardon. He would not have been indicted if he had a different name.

Lemire said Biden cares about his son.

This could allow Trump to pardon the January 6th rioters.

Mika & Joe did not comment on the Biden pardon.

Mika said she pardoned her teenage daughters when they ordered a pizza with EXTRA toppings without her permission. The pizza was unhealthy & affected their performance at track meets.

From what I see in the news, it seems the Scarboroughs are trying to serve two masters -- being Trump-friendly while occasionally throwing a bone to the resistance, i.e., the rant over Kash Patel.

I'm not taking the bait.   They've fooled me twice, they don't get another chance.

I suspect their groveling at Trump's feet directly influenced the media pile-on over the pardon these last few days.   It gave the media a -- what's that catch-phrase we heard so often before the election?  A permission structure? -- to openly engage in anti-Democrat coverage to publicly appease the new regime.   It's a bit like the way all Republicans re-pledged their fealty after Kevin McCarthy went down to Maralago (I can't be bothered to hyphenate).

Then, just like the craven hypocrites they are, Joe and Mika made a big show of excoriating the media for participating in the very feeding frenzy they enabled.

Joe called Barr an adult in the room when Trump appointed him Attorney General.

Barr refused to let Kash Patel be appointed to a position in the FBI in the first Trump administration.

And we should certainly agree with and believe Joe's opinions/rewriting of facts.

Because his judgment has been SOOO solid in recent months.

I saw 5 seconds of him yelling about CFP rankings and turned it off. For someone who is neither a practicing attorney, a member of Congress, a former football player, or a journalist, he sure seems to think his thoughts are relevant.

Bill Barr denounced Trump and then said he'd vote for him. Because he would do less damage than Biden.  Joe you're touting the guy who is cool with the guy who wants Kash Patel to run the FBI, and probably have you arrested.

But sure. You be you. So are you going to do a podcast from jail, or just have Mika record you with her iPhone?

Joe loves to change opinions & pretend he never changed them. Joe thinks viewers don't remember his prior positions on any issues.

Morning Joe has been credited with an upswing in new TVs and remote control purchases from viewers who have thrown objects at their TVs after watching a segment of the show.

The local Best Buy store in Jupiter Florida offered Mika a free TV but she turned them down saying she doesn't watch TV.

What Mika doesn't tell people is that most tv programs are too sophisticated for her simple mind.  She can't even follow the plots on Sesame Street without her assistant explaining them to her.

Wait, so the Letter of the Day is the first letter of those words?

That's the real reason why she doesn't "watch tv".

Yes, but it was the first time Mika had to make a special announcement.

It will be interesting to see if Willie will now issue legal disclaimers after some of Mika & Joe's rants.

Sunny Hostin has to read legal disclaimers daily on The View after the panellists make accusations against Trump's nominees.

I just read about the David Frum kerfluffle on Mediaite. I wonder if the network ordered/asked The Twins to apologize/scold? If so, why? I read what Frum said - Joe says worse than that about people, places and things just about everyday. Geez.

I would love to be a fly on the wall these days when other network hosts talk to one another about what is going on. And who they like to mock.

I just read the Mediaite article about the nonsense earlier. I didn't see it, all I saw was the coverage of the shooting of the UnitedHealthcare CEO, and the NBC reporter kissing Joe's ass. He was explaining what NYPD was doing to catch the shooter. I didn't hear what Joe said but the reporter replied "Oh yes Joe you're exactly right, you summed up everything perfectly, you are the best!!"

Every person in the media is making fun of Trump's choices. Esp Hegseth.

Does Joe not think his viewers are smart enough to know what a joke is? I mean, the entire show is a fucking joke. Some off hand comment by David Frum has him concerned about being flippant?   Joe calls people names, screams at his bosses and derides Mika on an almost daily basis. Didn't Mika call someone a "butt buddy" once?

"I'll run my show the way I want", is a real good way to get fired. Your show is beholden to your contract with MSNBC, which may be null and void before you know it, to the advertisers who pay MSNBC, and to the few viewers you have left.

If the producer is saying someone should apologize, it's obvious they're worried about being called to the principal's office again.

If Joe isn't scared of losing the show, he should be.  They know they're on thin ice.

I will have to watch Joe's meltdown later.

I love that Joe compares himself to the Royal Family of England. Mika is an expert at wearing bathrobes on TV, so seeing her on the throne wearing a royal cape would be fun.

Given Joe's puffy hair, it would be difficult to find a crown that would fit on his head.

Could MSNBC redesign the set to have Mika & Joe sit on a throne with the guests below. ?

Katty Kay could provide them with tips on following royal protocol.

David Frum yesterday - "If you're too drunk for Fox News, you're very very drunk indeed." An outrageous and entertaining comment comparable to virtually anything Gutfeld and others say about MSNBC on Fox. When David left, Mika objected to this language. She wouldn't have objected in the past. Think of all the things George Conway said on the show, e.g.

This is Mika who has some odd thinking going on in her head and pushing it, in a cowardly way, after Frum left, and Joe standing by his wife. It fits in with the criticisms that they became fearful of Trump.

Make the show more interesting, not a more milquetoast-Mika direction. Let people say outrageous things, discuss it in real time, not cowardly after the guest has left. And have more guests from the other side on issues. That's how to make the show more interesting. Not the Mika approach.

Mika loved it when guests hurled personal insults at Trump before the election.

Joe used to mock Rubio for being short & Cruz for not defending his wife after Trump called her ugly.

It's hilarious to see them get outraged at people criticizing their pilgrimage to Mar A Lago.

It's funny how Joe says he'll do what he wants and if you don't like it, tough shit.

But then this happens and everybody is shitting their pants over making a joke about Fox News.

Does anyone remember when Trump was in office, and Jeanine Pirro was made fun of on SNL? For being drunk as well as batshit crazy?  I don't recall Lorne Michaels or Cecily Strong being threatened with jail.

Last time I heard you can't arrest someone for a joke. Or for reporting what a public figure does.

If Joe is so brave and nobody can tell him how to run his show, then they need to grow a pair. And MSNBC needs to go back to being the network that stands up to Trump and his bullshit threats. He does this stuff to intimidate people, hoping they'll cower and stop. And that's what JoMika did. They are so pathetic.

And since we could all use a good laugh...

As far as I know Cecily is not in jail, she's appearing in Apple TV+ "Schmigadoon".

Joe thinks so little of his audience that he feels he has every right to belittle them after being criticized for his hypocrisy.

This is what bullies and abusers do. "How dare you tell me I can't do whatever the hell I want. You will sit there and take it".

He is a former U.S. Congressman, an old country lawyer, and a Kennedy in a previous life.

Her value is known throughout the realm.

If we were truly loyal viewers, we would celebrate their hypocrisy with a three-day feast, then set our bodies ablaze as penance for our lapses in faith and fealty.

I just watched the 20-minute rant ... well, the first 15 minutes at least.   That's all I could stand.   Having been away from the show for almost a month, I have become verbose intolerant.

It was like an infomercial by a cheating husband.  I cheated for the good of our marriage!   Where do you get off being hurt or upset?  I'm not the villain here.  I was just trying to do right by you.  I thought you were mature enough to understand that.   Instead you're all "boo-hoo, my husband betrayed me."  Grow up!  You have no justification -- none! -- for being hurt or upset.   My God, has the whole world lost its mind?

In his all-caps voice, Scarborough threw David Frum under the bus and offered his "very dear friend" a non-apology: "I'm sorry if I made David uncomfortable ..."  He ridiculed George Conway complete with a mocking George Conway "voice."  He fell back on a false distinction between campaign Trump and President Trump -- "we said he was sounding like a fascist, and he did -- during the campaign!"   He confused himself with actual reporters, imagining some parallel universe where he's called out of bed at night to confer off-the-record with world leaders.    He channeled Mental Geller when insisting he would run the show "the way I want to because it's my show!"  "MY SHOW!"   In Scarborough's world view, all of his critics, including people he sees at Thanksgiving, are wrong and he and Mika are the true victims.  To make his point, Scarborough said he called the news desks of the New York Times, the Washington Post AND David Frum's own employer The Atlantic to ask if THEY would ever publish what Frum said!  He also tried to insert a big hmmm by noting he invited David Frum to come back and discuss, and Frum said he'd be here today, and he was supposed to be here today, because he told us he'd be here today, but obviously he's not here today, and now he's saying he'll be here on Friday when I'll be on assignment talking to Bill Clinton and unable to discuss this whole matter with David Frum.  Everybody -- everybody! -- criticizing them for Mika's on-air apology (which by the way was NOT an apology, NOT an apology) or who says their fearful visit to the the Court of Maralago (which was NOT fearful, I am NOT fearful, ask anybody at the network if I am fearful, go on, ask, I dare you) was a betrayal of their viewers, well, all of this is their fault.

He could have saved everybody 20 minutes and just posted his screed on Truth Social.   It would have been right at home.

Trump wants DeSantis to appoint his daughter-in-law Lara Trump to the Senate.

Joe wanted to run for the Senate in 2010. He took several trips with Mika to the Gulf Coast to show he was concerned with the Gulf Oil spill. He blamed President Obama for the oil spill. Joe was outraged that the GOP refused to remove Charlie Crist & Marco Rubio from the race. Joe wanted to run as an acclaimed GOP candidate.
