That's an awfully on the nose plot summary for around here.

Ah, so that's why Marge is so calm: She writes hate letters and never sends them. And she wrote a ton of them. She even wrote one to Tim Meadows! Liked seeing Artie Ziff and Lurleen again. She'd been hanging onto those letters for decades. I liked that the villain turned out to be Shauna. Definitely a scheme an angry, resentful teen would've thought of.

Fat Tony...is out of town, that's why Marge went to Patty and Selma for help. Loved that fake out.

It's weird to hear "mean bitch" and "angry milf" in this show. I liked how Homer asked if they could say (mean bitch) now. Marge telling Helen "kiss my ass"? That was pretty satisfying.

"You have a photographic memory? For an auditory interview?
"Yes!"

The ONE TIME Chalmers catches on to another aurora borealis...and he thinks Marge is coming on to him.

I’m not just saying this because of Lent, but I really liked this episode! It was so refreshing for Marge to openly acknowledge her vindictive side, and finally owning up to the fact that it is hypocritical to act nice while suppressing your real feelings about people. 

Loved Tim Meadows’ cameo too.

It's official: Grampa is now canonically too young to have fought in WWII. And even when they're playing the Yankees, the Isotopes still can't fill a stadium. 

And of all languages...Maceconian. Yeah, sure, haven't done that yet. I'm gonna assume it was all accurate. I liked the joke that Walkov taught himself English by watching Family Guy. Baseball has been one giant ad for decades, but ads on the bases themselves were new. I was wondering when they'd get to sports betting (with ads for it being literally everywhere) and Walkov going all Pete Rose...and bam, right at the second act break. This was a long way to go to an anti-sports gambling story. Somewhere, Pete Rose is looking up, mad at how baseball treats gamblers now.

And hey, here's a good excuse to shoehorn Chris Rock and Danny Trejo into the show. And yet disgraced journalist Skinny Weinstein Matt Lauer got more lines than them. (EDIT: I was informed by Michael Price that Chris Edgerly voiced him)

Chalkboard: No booger is so "perfect" it demands to be flipped.

Couch Gag: resizing a pic of the family on the couch, trying to trash Homer's face and it wasn't working.

Huh, theme song sounded different. (EDIT: Because it was a ska cover! Clever.)

The beginning with Bart copying everything Lisa does was really fun and clever. Teaching him Mandarin! And the sax! And hugging! Loved the tag at the end. Shoulda known that the aliens were Kang and Kodos.

I liked Not Guy Fieri/Bobby Flay/The Man vs Food Guy, and of course Homer bonds/forms a parasocial relationship with him. John DiMaggio voiced him, too, which was perfect casting. And we got Fat Tony lore out of it! I got tickled at the concept of the Prussian Mob. I KNEW something was up with the glasses on the back of Thad's head! They recorded all the recipes! Clever.

The Skankfurters was an incredible Ska band name. And loved the car chase set to ska music.

The opening bit with Bart and Lisa really was something. At first Bart was so obnoxious that I was rooting for Lisa to snap and beat the crap out of him, but then she turned the tables in a surprisingly heartwarming way! Well played, writers!

I like this whole tour of foods idea. The story about the mob and the stew was fantastic. The cat was at the ceremony.

-- 4 cups chicken stock
-- 2 cups of black current wine
-- 1/2 cup kobold blood
-- 1/4 cup brown sugar
-- 3 carrots
-- 3 ribs celery
-- 1/2 white cabbage

Tie aromatics in cheesecloth.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.  Sear boar in large Dutch oven.
All over with salt and add to Dutch oven.

Add onion and cook until browned. Coat with tomato paste.
Add chicken stock, wine vinegar, sugar, and aromatics.
Simmer, then transfer to oven and cook for 1-1/2 hours.
Add carrots, celery, cabbage and cook 1 hour longer.

Being a Mob Revenge dish, I was worried that the meat might be the Other White meat, but that's a bit too dark for an in-season episode. (Perfectly fine for the Halloween special of course)
