I think we're thinking alike roamyn.  The only consolation is if Philadelphia defeats Kansas City.  However, they're sorta inconsistent, so if the Chiefs take down the Eagles again, I'd prefer they do so by routing them.

At least, thank dog, Jason’s retirement means we shouldn’t be bombarded with stories about Mama Kelce.

But I’m not sure it’s a game I’d bother watching.  For that matter, there are zero teams left playing about whom IGAF.

As a Giants fan, I have no love for the WC, but I do enjoy that this is a giant shit-in-the-face to Dan Snyder.

Maybe he can find Jerry Jones & Stephen Jones in the same corner at Jerry's mansion to cry with & to get a hug from him. Then, Jerry Jones will tell Dan Snyder, It'll be all right. It'll get better."

This song will never ever get old. Since, them Boyz are now the only NFC team left to not play in the NFC Championship Game this century.

Lions' decimated defense finally broke. Offense couldn't save them as they have for the past six weeks.

Defense didn't throw interceptions.   Now defense did have 12 men on the field.  Just stupid penalties.   Which has been a problem all season.

Gonna be a loooooong offseason in the D.

I don't hate the Commanders as much as I should for a division rival, but goddamn.  I root for the hapless Lions going back to the Barry Sanders days, so enjoy their success and really looked forward to a victory here.  Good grief.

I don't anticipate the Rams getting past the Eagles (of course, I thought they'd go down in flames in the Wild Card, so I could be pleasantly surprised again, but I don't think so), so I - as a Giants fan, who almost always roots for whatever NFC team makes the Super Bowl - am quite possibly going to see an Eagles-Commanders championship game?!  Like 2025 doesn't suck enough!  Thanks a shitload, Lions.

To be honest, I sorta had a mild grin when that "I'll see you in 2 weeks" thing resurfaced (someone joking that Dan Campbell meant Cancun or the golf course).

I agree with Bastet in that I don't think the Rams are getting past the Eagles.  Sure they won against Minnesota in a tough spot within a tough time, but West to East with though conditions is not cool.  To be fair, I don't know if Los Angeles will keep it close.  I think they can (to the point where the outright upset takes place).

I think back to the Harbaugh Era 49ers where went into a more severe place in terms of weather, and won the game.  With Sean McVay running the team I don't think the cold weather phases the Rams.  If they lose, it'll be more due to playing a much better team.  Not saying it's a factor, but unlike Miami (and IMO similar to San Francisco earlier last decade), that culture is one where they're not using weather as an excuse.

It's only one year but as bluegirl147 mentioned, it feels like reverse Karma or whatever with Washington rolling in a big way immediately after Dan Snyder's exit.  Though I think there were a ton of horrible people within that organization, but "the buck" stopped with him.  Plus, and in my opinion, that era is what can happen when a fan (using a very emotional one) takes over a team.  If he's not that qualified on a winning level then that's a problem.  At least with Kraft the opposite can be the case, but I think going forward whenever they're an ownership change we'll only see ownership groups as opposite to one dude that tops everything else.

As for Tom Brady, I don't see him announcing until the end of the current CBA either, but I'd still give it North of a 50% (up to 75-80 percent) chance that he's calling games until & including the 2028 season.

I usually root for whatever NFC East team makes it (at least its division being repped if not by the Cowboys).   But I was so in on the Lions this year, I just can't.  Completely disheartened.

After watching the Commanders vs. Lions game last night, it actually made me feel a little better about the Bucs' 23-20 loss to the Commanders.  They did something right to hold them to 23 points!

FWIW, we were rooting for the Lions since they've been underdogs for a long time.  Sorry about that, Lions fans.  It was an exciting game though.

While I wouldn't root for a team within my division, I might end up doing just that.  Typically it's due to the players on the team.  FWIW, my team signed Mike Vick once upon a time.  It can go both ways.  Root for a team, not a player, OR root against a team but for a player within that team.

Probably helps if your team is total garbage, but at the end of the day, I'm rooting for a good game.  I don't know if that'll happen for Rams/Eagles, but I think we're definitely getting a great game to wrap up Divisional Round Week with the Bills & Ravens.

BTW (and something I've thought of quite a bit), I think the league can move toward dropping (or changing) the name of this week's postseason.  Sorta silly to call this the Divisional playoffs when most teams now play during Wild Card weekend (which at this point isn't that great of a name for the NFL postseason).

I'm happy for Wildflower (tm Tom Grossi) but honestly I'd rather the Buccs have done it than the Commanders.  But the Buccs defense has been spotty all year and Dan Quinn is taking full advantage of his opponents Defensivd woes.  I can only hope that they beat the Eagles next week (if the Eagles win today).

Thus far, the year in which I adapt to seeing Saquon in an Eagles jersey is still not 2025.

If I'm in a room that doesn't have a TV and hear his name excitedly said by the announcer, meaning he's just picked up great yardage, for a split second I'm happy before I remember no, you're not even watching a Giants game, you're watching a Rams game and he's helping the Eagles beat you.

Don’t know why, but it reminds me of when Ray Bourque, who had a HoF career in Boston but never hoisted the Cup, went to Colorado, and all of a sudden thousands of Bruins fans are rooting for the Avalanche like it’s their team.  As a Bruins fan and a Giants fan, I just can’t get behind that.

I'm going to need to watch that dropped 2-point conversion about ten more times.  I don't give a shit about the Bills, but I hate the Ravens.

If John Harbaugh had let his all-world kicker go for the PAT those two tries, they’d have had the tie.

I still despise Tony Romo.

Can someone shove a sock in his mouth?

(Looking at sock drawer.). Do you want reindeer or Christmas tree socks?

Honestly, I’m listening to him rave about Buffalo “imposing their will” in the first half, and like a light switch, raving about Baltimore imposing their will in the second half, and dropping it without a word as soon as it was clearly nobody was imposing their will today except maybe Mother Nature.  Oh, and “You’re exactly right, Jim,” should be a drinking game.

Two snow games in one day.  How does it get better than that?

I could understand going for the first two point try because it would have tied the game if they made it. I was thinking this game would go down to a Tucker field goal try. Sucks for Andrews for that drop, and the fumble prior. At the end of the day you gotta protect the ball, and the Ravens didn’t do that with their miscues. I’m sure that ball was as hard as a rock with how cold it was.

Same.  Even if I didn't actually despise the Ravens I still would have wanted the Bills to win.  Maybe if the weather hadn't been terrible the outcome would have been different but you play the game you have and it just was not the Ravens night.

Out of the four remaining teams I would be happy if any of three out of four wins the SB. I just cannot stomach the Chiefs again.

You might be my spirit animal.

I don't mind the Chiefs, but I'd like to see someone else win this year. The Commanders as an FU to Dan Snyder, the Eagles because why not and the Bills to finally screw over the Cigarette Smoking Man.

Oh yay, another date with the Chiefs and likely losing. How much more heartbreak can one stomach as a Bills fan?

At least Buffalo has a chance to pull off the upset as they match-up better than Baltimore.  As mentioned, it's more heartbreak and less pleasure.  So I'll spend the week getting ready to cope with a one-point win by Kansas City

Super Bowl XX is the first SB I can remember, but if I were watching in the 70’s I would have rooted against Dallas then too

I liked SB V, AKA the Blunder Bowl.  Both teams did so many things wrong that Chuck Howley of the losing ‘Boys was awarded the MVP.

Aided by a roughing the passer penalty of course.

Never would have thought the league would work harder to coddle a QB than it did Tom Brady, but they’ve outdone themselves with Patrick Mahomes.

His flop on the sidelines Saturday was ridiculous and he didn't get a penalty. Championship game is usually when he hurts his ankle but plays through the pain.

If you read online comments it's the NFL working hard to keep Taylor Swift and her millions of fans engaged. Not saying I believe that but I wouldn't put anything past the NFL if it made them money.

100%.  It feels like the league is stopping at nothing to have a guy & an NFL franchise trump the dynasty that preceded it.

It's vexatious to be honest; the NFL would love to have the Chiefs finish as a better, more epic dynasty than the Patriots.  That may be due to the antics of the latter, which FWIW, was enabled by?  The NFL themselves!
