Spicy meatball Stephen Amell serves pizza to show he loves it as much as ‘TMNT’ do

In an effort to prove he loves pizza just as much as his “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” counterparts — and also do some pretty awesome promotion for his new movie — Stephen Amell is serving pizza at a local shop in New York City Monday (May 23).

I hope that's marinara beneath his lip and not the beginnings of a soul patch.

ETA: It is marinara, and he had it on his face the whole time, lmao.

Oh thank goodness you found the answer. I was catching up on twitter and my first reaction was "WTF is that on his chin? Better not be a soul patch."

There's a video on his FB page where he takes a bite, and I'm sure the poor guy is thinking how many miles he is going to have to run on the treadmill to burn it off. No one makes that face eating pizza! (Unless the pizza sucks). I was worried he was going to spit it, haha.

He claims he doesn't eat dairy (not sure I believe that), so if that's true he was probably worried about...something happening.

Ditto! Not keen on the clean shaven look either but a soul patch would just be beyond the pale (Tony Almeida is the only one who can pull that off and only just).

I'm liking the clean-shaven look on him . . . I know the scruff is really flattering on him.  But, I think this bit of stubble instead of scruff or even full-on beard (no thanks!) makes him look younger and refreshed.  It also draws attention to his leaner cheekbones, which have looked a bit fuller this season.

He always seems a little dehydrated, though.  My husband gets the same look about his eyes right after a long run.

I don't think he is intolerant because it is a fairly recent development as far as I know but since his wife is one of the people that advocates about dairy being unhealthy, among many other things I think he is just following that diet.

I find it crazy and no one is going to take dairy away from me :D I even tried vegan ice cream and cheese and it is so not worthy.

Try being lactose intolerant. Actually don't - it's awful. There are no benefits, health or otherwise, it just sucks.

I feel you. A while ago I presented some symptoms that actually made me fear I was lactose intolerant, and it was a - luckily short-lived - nightmare. :/

I don't know whether SA is intolerant or if he skips dairy for another reason, though.

I'm sorry there is no benefit to skipping diary.  Come on, giving up Cheese and Ice Cream?! That better cure cancer or something otherwise, nope.

I read somewhere that it can help prevent it. Not sure how accurate that was, though. But I'm right there with you. No way!

The thing about dairy, though, is that if you stop eating it for a while you lose the enzymes that allow you to process it. You become lactose intolerant even if you weren't to begin with. Good news is that it's reversible. Just a slow and uncomfortable process.

If you had breast cancer it's true that drinking milk can put you more at risk of relapses than someone who doesn't, but that's about it. Unfortunately you can get it even if you never touch dairy in your life like a person who drinks milk every morning can go on all her life without getting it.

Yeah.  I'm lactose intolerant, and I've never said no to a piece of smoked gouda,  worth it every single time.

I'm pretty sure he stated several months ago that he missed pizza and started eating dairy again. I vaguely remember it but I don't remember where I read it.  I want to say it was something he said at a fan event, but I am not sure.

Could be! I just remembered him retweeting a friend who had harassed him about not eating dairy, and like @Midnight Lullaby wrote, his wife posts a lot about being anti-dairy, so I figured he was just going along with that. If he's back on the wagon, I approve. Cheese is one of life's greatest pleasures.

Mmm cheese. Without it, the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza would be nothing :p Seriously. The amount of cheese in a deep dish pizza is staggering yet delicious

Bummer that means I was too late too :(

Free Pizza sounded amazing. Cheese is like a gift from the gods, I feel bad for anyone who cannot eat it for medical reasons. I don't understand people who willing choose not to eat it. It's like people who willing avoid chocolate, just a little too bizarre.

As for gluten free, I don't have a recipe but I've heard people have had really good luck recreating pizza crust with mushed cauliflower. Apparently it requires refrigeration and a lot of squeezing out moisture.

Nothing like the magical powers of sleeping with OQ to cure your idol enhanced inner demon!

Either that or ER is really into watching her character die... if they keep her on for s5 fb I will be shocked. Poppy needs to go join RQ & Shado for an overdue cup of tea.

I might not like her acting/character, but at least she promotes the show. Her enthusiasm is admirable.

Here's a scary thought. Isn't Poppy loosely based on Shado from Year One? And didn't Shado rape Ollie in the comics? So I guess they could actually have non-consentual sex. Because there's a dearth of horrifying things that have happened to Oliver and one more needs to be piled on.

But seriously, I don't think that's happening. Oliver is pretty much the writers' torture puppet, but they haven't really gone in the direction of sexual crimes and I doubt they'll head towards it now. ER is probably excited for a bitchin' showdown between Poppy and Reiter.

Sexual crimes this late in the season would be a cheap trick by the writers. I may criticize them from time to time, but I don't think they are that bad or have reached that far down in the bottom of the barrel - they need to resort to that. I don't put sexual crimes out of the realm of possibility on Arrow, but I do think it is out of the realm of possibility for s4.
