I just took a look out of curiosity and Dean has jumped to 3rd place with over 100,000 votes. However, Damon now has over 1 million votes......

Interesting, but he'd be No. 1 in my book. There wasn't one face on that list that I'd prefer over his-although that might be more because of all the many and myriad expressions that I know that face of his is capable of giving to us and because facial expression is just as important to me as simply the aesthetics when the descriptor of "handsome" comes into play. :-)

I like that list because it is truly international. Different standards of beauty and beauty is all relative. I think #1 looks more pretty than handsome but not particularly feminine.  18 year old Jensen was more pretty than handsome.

Regardless, Jensen is in some good company in that list.

Obviously, beauty is very subjective.  The majority of the men chosen for that list don't really do much for me.  I recognize their "beauty", but there's so much more that goes into attraction.  Since this was a "most handsome" list and not sexiest or most attractive, I can live with their choices.  Jensen obviously has a very pretty face, and he's matured into a very handsome man, but it's his personality that brings it all together for me.  I'm normally not drawn to "pretty" men, so Jensen is sort of an anomaly for me.  But Dean was/is such a great character that I could look past his almost "too-perfect for me" looks.  Now when I look at pictures of him, I see the character, the person and the face.

I don't think it really looks like him in that Harper's Bazaar shoot. It's weird. I do like the one with him in the striped shirt and no shoes.

Many (mostly the Asian young men) look a little too young (and androgynous) for my taste.  I think I'd call them "beautiful" instead of "handsome."  In my mind, (I know not everyone agrees!) beautiful is less gender specific, though IMO age also plays a part.  (Jensen was beautiful when he was young; now I'd consider him more handsome...) :) 

One thing I did notice is that most of the men who look old enough to grow facial hair have some degree of scruff.  

What I like most is a twinkle in the eye and a sense that they're not taking themselves too seriously... (no "blue steel" look for me!)

I didn't list ALL the nominees for all categories from all shows because that's a big pain in the ass. Folks can see the other shows nominees when they go to the page. 

I'm just trying to give info here that is SPN specific. I'm not making recommendations other than the Impala.  Why is this controversial?

Why is this controversial?  Not at all.  My comment was that you get to vote for more than one so you can vote for those shows and later it will get interesting when you have to bring it down to one vote.  I get what you are doing and without you saying hey here is where you can vote I wouldn't have voted at all!  So it's all good, no worries

Plus, it was a comment that I really, REALLY wanted to make because it's irritating when I cannot make myself vote for SPN in a poll but the comments that these two have made about the characters and actors over the years have made it impossible for me to vote for them. I did the same - neither of those two deserve any awards for directing. U/O maybe, but I thought Stuck In The Middle (With You) was a hot mess. The Tarantino homage didn't work for me at all.

I don't know. Ask Canadagraphs who makes the categories. Ask them why they have Stephen Amell and Arrow in the Drama categories but the other DCTV in Sci-Fi/Fantasy along with Supernatural.  LOL

 I don't make the categories, I just list them. If you think I made a mistake in my post, I'll correct it.

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to nitpick at you. I was just wondering if there was a reason known to people who regularly use Canadagraphs why they categorised the actors the way they did.
