chelsie April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 If Joe was to tell Eddie about Iris feelings for Barry it would f up the Iris/Eddie ship- that's really something that Iris needs to be telling... 1 Link to comment
Latverian Diplomat April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 (edited) Hang on, were the bullets in or through the shield when Barry caught two of them? Because wouldn't that mean he was too? Barry couldn't catch the third bullet because the shield blocked him, but not the bullet. Edited April 30, 2015 by Latverian Diplomat 1 Link to comment
kieyra April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 I will need everyone to form a line behind me w/r/t both Tom Cavanagh and Cisco. Thanks. 4 Link to comment
Oscirus April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 I will give the show this. That was a nice goodbye scene between Thanwne and Barry. So the plan was that Wells would admit to Cisco that he killed Nora in front of Joe, thereby getting Barry's dad freed and Cisco would remain safe from RF. While doing absolutely nothing to incapacitate RF? Oh and just in case the meta-human that's been owning Flash in one on one fights, gets past the Flash mob let's use Eddie as Iris's last line of defense without even bothering to tell her that she's in danger. Am I missing something here? Overprotective? Joe believes Eddie is the wrong man for Iris. Even Iris herself knows that in her heart of hearts. How is it overprotective for Joe to want his daughter to marry the right guy? How is it overprotective for Joe to try to force his daughter to marry the right guy? Are you serious with that? I almost want to see how Joe would react if Thawne was to impregnate Iris. How did he even know to do that? I assume he had a discussion with Wells on what to do and how to do it. 3 Link to comment

chelsie April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 I suppose Joe is perhaps overly involved in his kids lives, but thats because he appears to have no other friends, so that obviously that colors perceptions of the Iris-Joe dyad. I do think they have a good relationship, in that they get on well and enjoy each others company. Unfortunately, seeing is believing and Iris and Joe have had little interaction in comparison to Joe/Barry. Its a shame that we don't see them hanging out as it would have provided a more rounded picture of the relationship. But I guess writers are Next season I'd make Joe take a backseat and allow him to have some friends his age, or socialise with fellow colleagues and maybe a girlfriend. I think Barry needs to step his game up and needs to obtain knowledge on his own. At the moment he appears to be spoonfed information. I'd still have him as part of the story but he will not be hanging out with them as much - he and Eddie really stood out. With Iris the trick is to have her let her men know that their lying is not OK but also make her a part of the story. It would not do for her to just simply be mad and thats it; she'll stand out and it would be pointless. I'd have her join the Flash team* but I'm not sure in what role. I'd also like her to have friends/interact outside of Barry. She's too tied to family. That is, her BF is her fathers partner, and her other love interest is her brother and BFF. Link to comment
Chicago Redshirt April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 Should the writers choose, Iris has a ready-made role to help out the Flash Mob: that of a reporter. In addition to the 50 years of Iris-from-the-comics to pattern her after, there is also basically something like 75 years of Lois Lane from radio, TV, comics and the movies to pattern her after. It shouldn't be too tough to write Iris as using her position to investigate things that might need the Flash's attention, or to give him some needed grounding and perspective. Iris isn't a cop, and she's not a super-genius. 5 Link to comment
JTMacc99 April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 (edited) I was worried for a minute that Wells was going to use Eddie as his next body but wouldn't that mean the end of Tom Cavanagh? So as much as I think Eddie would become an awesome character all of the sudden, I can't see the departure of the actor playing Eobard Thawne as a good idea in any way, shape or form. And good for Iris for figuring it out. I just hope Grodd doesn't hit her in the head next week and erase her memories from the last week or so. Or maybe I do. Man, that would create quite a firestorm of fan reactions. Heh. Edited April 30, 2015 by JTMacc99 1 Link to comment
FurryFury May 1, 2015 Share May 1, 2015 (edited) Finally got around to watching this episode, sadly, the show is very low on my "To Watch" list right now. TC was awesome, as usual, but I was really annoyed by how "obviously evil" they've made Wells/Eobard... at least until the ending scene, which unexpectedly gave food to my old theory "Barry goes evil at some point and Wells wants to get rid of him no matter the cost". Of course, it will probably be debunked later, so whatever. Can't stand Iris/Barry romance, and now we have a guaranteed endgame. Great. Iris herself was all right however, it's nice she figured it out herself and didn't need a villain to knock on her door and tell her Barry's The Flash. Once again, hated overprotective Joe. This character is just beyond redemption for me. If he gets killed in the finale, I'll be ecstatic. Edited May 1, 2015 by FurryFury Link to comment
kikaha May 2, 2015 Share May 2, 2015 Can't stand Iris/Barry romance, and now we have a guaranteed endgame. Barry/Iris is not guaranteed. The timeline already changed, at least once. With Flash now crossing the time barrier, it could change again. Link to comment
millennium May 2, 2015 Share May 2, 2015 A very entertaining and satisfying episode. It's funny, I watched the "Al-Sahim" episode of Arrow and this episode of Flash back to back and I was stunned by the superior quality of the writing in The Flash. It hits the right notes consistently, it's upbeat, fast-paced (no pun intended) and the humor is perfectly timed and feels natural ("Mazeltov?"). Such a freaking relief from Oliver Queen's impersonation of a wooden Indian. Tom Cavanaugh should get an Emmy for his performance as Dr. Wells. I truly hope the show finds a way to regenerate/return the original Dr. Wells once the Reverse Flash has been defeated so that Cavanaugh doesn't need to leave. Outstanding! (And I liked the way Iris learned Barry's secret.) 1 Link to comment

BPOX May 4, 2015 Share May 4, 2015 This is a time travel show. Your ship still has hope. But I won't be sharing your enthusiam. Not in this timeline, at least. 1 Link to comment
AudienceofOne May 4, 2015 Share May 4, 2015 Dear Joe: The answer to the question "I'm going to ask you daughter to marry you. Do I have your blessing?" is, "It's not my decision. It's hers." From: women everywhere. Thanks. 10 Link to comment
Actionmage May 5, 2015 Share May 5, 2015 I wish Jack Bristow would talk to Joe about the raising of awesome daughters. 1 Link to comment
bettername2come May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 Something I noticed upon rewatch: In the scene at the end where Barry's yelling at Wells to just let his dad out of prison, Caitlin's in the background and just tilts her head and looks at Barry like "Really? This again?" Link to comment
