Jill won't get Philip real help because 1) a psychologist/psychiatrist might get him to understand that he doesn't have do whatever his mother tells him and 2) they are mandatory reporters.   Can you imagine Philip telling a shrink what goes in that home and how the kids are treated?

Shrink:   Wait, your mother does that to you?

Phil:  Oh yeah, me and my siblings.

Shrink:  Even the minor children?

Phil:  Oh goodness yes.

Shrink:   Hello CPS....

why do they need a mini fridge when the kitchen is right there lol. and also who needs a coffee nook for Dave only when they are on vacation this time for a month???

What a waste of $.

What Jill wants, Jill gets. I don't begrudge them a nice coffee area, but that is way too much when your kids should be getting fed and have nicer clothes.

We have one simple coffee maker at our house.

I hope the kids can at least get some coffee from that nook. also I noticed she didn't have any cookies or muffins or anything sweet and decadent there as treats.

The younger ones who might not drink coffee would love to have a spot to get a treat for themselves.

For Dave means for Olivia, Sadie or whichever daughter is told to make daddy a coffee and carry it to him while he lays in the recliner watching the map.

that coffee nook could have been Janessa's sleeping area and Janessa's miscarriage shrine closet bedroom could have been Jill's office.

But nope Jill doesn't care that her youngest sleeps in the closet. a coffee nook is more important. priorities are all screwed up in the Rod home.

The coffee thing is right next to the dining table so certainly not a sleeping area.

Possibly Janessa has been moved into the girls dorm and the closet has become mama's office.

She’s calling it a nook. It’s not, it’s a wall in the dining area of the kitchen. Jill and words are always an adventure.

tbh I'm not sure where anything is in that maze house. although I still rather sleep by the dining table than a miscarriage shrine closet.

sweater vest with hoodie, denim vest jacket , nook, upstairs attic etc keeps me in stitches.

for a change of topic - Hilaria Spivey posted last week of Robbie seeming to graduate from some program and won the "skills award" out of 80 guys.

Officially a certified lineman for electric co maybe. He also got a CDL so he can drive a bucket truck or other large trucks.

He was surprised and his parents were in tears and so proud.

Also pics of him side hugging a girl.

We also have a coffee “nook”. It’s a two tiered kitchen island, so it’s on the lower tier. We don’t use it to roll out pastry or anything, which is what it was made for. But there’s only one machine that makes everything. It was a Christmas present because my husband loves coffee. Can’t Jill grift some kind of fancy coffee maker so they don’t have to have two? All we have on there is the machine, sugar, and creamer holders, and a standing mug rack.

I can’t stand the way she kept saying it was for David. There are older kids that might love coffee as well. The Dugger girls were big into coffee. God forbid they grab one of David’s 300 mugs and help themselves. Oh, and that wallpaper completely sucks.

I saw cocoa packets stashed away, so the kids can use the Keurig to heat up water, I guess.

Jill said Dave is into Vietnamese coffee. I guess that requires the espresso machine. I wouldn't know without googling.

Okay, I googled it. Now I know what those things in the drawer were. They act as the coffee filter. I bet Dave loves it super sweet.

Dr. Amen is regarded as a snake oil salesman with a lot of unproven treatment techniques and he peddles dietary supplements. Perfect person for Jill to admire.

He's lumped in with Dr. Phil, Dr. Drew, and Dr. Oz as a "celebrity doctor".

I’ve heard Dr. Phil mention him.  That should tell you all you need to know.

Jill has a new video posted of Janessa using a hoverboard in the dining area. She has Cinnamon in a stroller.

It shows the new coffee area and also shows mama got a new desk. The desk is right next to it in the dining area where the little table with 2 chairs used to be.

And they're off! Jill posted last night from the RV, nothing that Sam is left behind and sick. She fed him some Plexus, which she claimed helped make him feel better. Sure, Jan.

Hopefully Sam can make good use of his month of freedom.   Is anyone else staying back?  Jonathan?

Jill said that Kaylee would look after Sam, so they're not going. I expect that Phillip also stayed behind. He should have a job by now.

Well I hope that Kaylee contains herself to inviting them over for supper a couple times a week. She deserves a break from the daily visits to the Rodrigues home. In any other family, Sam would  be considered old enough to stay by himself.

If one of the girls over 18 (ie: WOMEN) had been sick, would she have left them home?

If Janessa is old enough to ride a hoverboard, she's old enough to leave the baby room.

Jill could have moved Janessa with the other girls and used the nursery closet as her office. It would be quiet and a good use of space. The desk is just one more thing in that crowded dining room.

I know the answer to my own question. Being in the center of action is more important to Jill than keeping Plexus records or writing her next best seller. She can sit at her desk and issue commands and watch for sin among the troops.

That is actually a really good sized area without all the clutter. A hover board can still get by even with all that extra furniture and junk. And I noticed that Jill has a stainless double oven and refrigerator. She’s certainly not slumming it with appliances. now if she could only cook with them.

It is weird that Janessa is always so glued to mama like a baby. She was right in mama’s lap in the RV. Jill was talking about how her hideous hair needed to be washed (dirty, sticky, major black roots). Sophia is also super tiny and sickly looking. Why is she never sitting with mama? Normally I wouldn’t think too much about a mother hanging on to the last child, but she does it to the detriment of all the other children very close in age to her. Sophia probably takes herself over to the coffee bar, pours an espresso, and is looking for the Jack Daniels.

What exactly is this important job that Sam has? Jill seems to like to mention it as much as possible, but with never any details. He was sick, but didn’t want to take time off from his “really good job” (eye roll).

Jill showed off her half eyebrow and dirty hair. it was on mute so I didn't listen to anything she says.

oh and Jill is still hoping for another baby. she is truly delulu. maybe if she didn't drink plexus and was managing her thyroid health better she might have had another baby. but she has 13 kids and that's not enough apparently.

It's a job that brings in money that Jill and David can use. Sam's job doesn't seem to be as flexible as Jonathan's.

Jill has never mentioned the job, but there are some clues that he works at a glass company.

I forgot about the half eyebrow! And the other one wasn’t much better. So her eyebrows are very light and she has to pencil in that gorgeous dark color that only matches her black roots. Plus, she said that she washes her hair twice a week. Not the way that mess was looking! There’s no way that was built up from only three days or so. My hair still looks really clean after three days (unless I’m super active in the summer), hers was a disaster. She also said that the girls were laughing because they didn’t know she was recording. So no laughing when mama is doing her important updates about being in the RV with dirty hair and no eyebrows? Plus their laughs were that high-pitched obnoxious sound that Nurie does. Jill doesn’t talk or laugh that way, where the hell did that come from? You must grow up as a coquette?

Instead of Kaylee looking in on him, how about mom just calls and says, “Hi adult son still living at home, how are you feeling?” It’s not like he’s in the middle of chemo or something, the guy probably has the flu. And not a super serious case at that. But get away from dad‘s coffee bar.

For an excellent job Samuel started in March or April last year he took a lot of time off last summer. He was in florida when N3 was born for a week or more. Then a week or 2 off for Tim's wedding and the mama mandated once a year family vacation.  Maybe he was warned about excessive absences.

Most likely Sam wasn't all that ill to begin with and went to work like most people do when they are not feeling quite right, but not horrible.

But mama need another story to try and sell plexus so....

Agreed.  He may have gotten that time off pre-approved when he got hired.  He definitely knew about the impending birth and the wedding in time to do so.   However just because it was pre-approved, doesn’t mean it was paid.  It also doesn’t mean he would be granted that much time off in 2025.   The company might have actual attendance policies. And employees that look askance at you for taking too much time off

If Jill lived in the real world, she would understand that working a job means you have to actually be there. Jonathan needs to support his family.  He can 100% stay home and work while Kaylee goes to Florida with the kiddo for alllll the things. He is a grown man, capable of caring for himself. If they have to worry so much about him keeping his hands to himself, then he has bigger problems than having to open up a can of soup.

Jill has to be so conflicted about Samuel have a job:

On the one hand, he's out of her control and having something to focus on besides her (one of the reasons I think she made David decide to switch to "full time ministry").

On the other hand, its a paycheck that she can use to get taken out to dinner and buy stuff for herself.

I hope Samuel is realizing that most families don't take off on vacation for weeks at a time on a regular basis and actually have to work and save for the things they have instead of just asking for handouts.

If Samuel is going to be able to support the "burden" of a wife and family he is going to have to work. Timothy certainly has worked for many years to be able to buy a house. Though his attempts at being self employed seemed to fall short. (if timothy's lawn service was making $5,000 a month as he once claimed, I suspect Samuel and Gabriel would be running a lawn service already.

$5000 a month 12 months a year is good.  $5000 for 3 months a year- not so good.  April, May, June.  When the really hot weather starts in July, the mowing slows down. It’s done in late October. The good lawn services offer landscaping and then snow removal in the winter.

In addition, there is maintenance, gas and oil on both the machines and the truck to transport them. Insurance etc.
