Well… as of last night, I’ve officially retired from the job I’ve had for the last 37 years and change.  Start my new job tomorrow  -er- later today.  Wish me luck!

Once the Olympics ended I got into the habit of watching the post-show recaps on RHAP's Youtube channel.   And in the past few weeks Bowie Jane has been on one show and Mama Fe was on Wednesday night.   Mama Fe was fun and just the same, down to snacking in the middle of the show (and taking her false tooth out so she could enjoy a caramel).  Bowie Jane was the real surprise to me.   SO charming and I got the idea that both Rob Cesternino and the second host that night (Taran?  Chappelle?) were also enchanted with her.  

Of course, last night's guest was Andy Herren and I clicked off pretty fast.

Excellent, in multiple ways. Turns out my old job is apparently missing me more than they expected to, so they’re contracting with my new outfit to have me reassume about 1/4 of the duties I left behind - at about 3x my old pay.

Didn’t get to see them; Day 2 pretty much ended up getting shut down due to high winds (Helena made a surprise unscheduled appearance).  It was down to just rain by the next day, though - all fucking day long - but we don’t give a shit about rain.  A couple of the Day 2 acts were able to accommodate a reschedule for Day 3, but Juliette wasn’t one of them.  😕
