S16.E1: Welcome Back Peaches

Recommended Posts

Ok if Shamea had all this going on including more wealth than most of the other housewives, why has she not been more than a friend of?  Although first few minutes, she’s doing too much…

Also, cut outs are not for everybody…some are giving Pillsbury…they’re all beautiful but they need to wear the right sizes and we don’t have to see the girls in every scene.  Drew, that’s a bra…

This could’ve been a good opportunity for Kenya to give good shade and commentary without even getting in the mix (how is she not divorced yet?  Brooklyn will be in college), but she had to go too far…

Everyone is bloated with silicone, fillers, makeup and wigs. Several of those girls were very hard to look at.

While Porsha shouldn't have run up after Falyn's man, she doesn't need to answer for that to Kelli, whom she does not know.

Kelli reminds me of Kayla from "Selling the OC" in the face.

I think Kenya's time on BRAVO is up. She doesn't fit in with this new cast IMO.

First episode was okay.  I have to get to know the new ladies. Kelli bought her daughter all those high end handbags?  I found it to be too much for a high school student.
I always liked Shamea as a friend. I didn’t realize she was rich rich. Her husband lit up when she mentioned him at the party. I don’t love when ladies get a car on the show but hopefully it’s for real.
Kelli had a point. If Porsha hadn’t been so hot to trot for a married Simon she would have saved herself a lot of problems.

So seems like the show is kind of centered around Shamea now. LIke others, I didn't know she had all that going on. Makes sense she finally got a peach.

Based on first impressions of the new girls, I do not like Kelli. Brit could be okay, and Angela seems a bit more mature than the rest of them.

I thought Drew was out this season. I cannot believe Ralph is living in her basement, lol.

I just spewed my beverage everywhere.... lol... thank you.

I had LOW expectations going in.  I almost didn't record this.  But these women are so ridiculous this season, in a fun way.  So far, it seems like re-booting might have been a success here, although I could be very wrong.  I also love the way the veteran housewives were deployed, and where has this version of Shamea been?  She had me laughing so much.  I'm cautiously optimistic that this could be a fun season just based on personalities alone.

This was rough. I planned to watch until Kenya's banishment, but now I don't know. The new women are trying way too hard, and I don't like bringing fan energy to the table. There was too much focus on "the blogs" and "the streets" for me.

Angela seemed cool though. Well, maybe. She was off on one trying to correct everybody about her husband's name. But I liked him clocking her wig and her running to the bathroom as Kenya came in.

Ralph living in the basement, it's giving house poor.

As a teenager, I looked forward to holidays/birthdays because I got to pick any high-end bag I wanted (but just 1 at a time.) Now mind you in the 80s, I could go to a department store in Detroit called Hudsons and get a Gucci bag for $300. Man, do I regret getting rid of some of those bags. I had some classics and no sense of what they would be worth today. I thought it was a very sweet and memorable gift if her mother has the means to provide.

Overall I enjoyed the premier. I wish they would hold Porsha feet to the fire a little bit more, so thank you Kelli for filling in for Kenya and Sheree.

This was obviously heavily edited because Kenya was basically window dressing.  I'm honestly not going to miss her or Cynthia.

She was trying to outdo Pheadra with the 12 birthday cakes for Mr. President's first birthday.  One of those designer bags should have sufficed.

Honestly, I stopped watching about 20 minutes in, those women are just too much to watch so I think I am done with Atlanta.

I tuned back in after reading the posts here...

Drew wore her bra from the Sue Ellen Mischke collection and a wig that was way too big for her head.

Cynthia wore somebody else's dress who was 8 cups smaller in the bust and 4 sizes smaller in the torso.

who is Charles Oakley? I never heard of him but then again, I do not watch much sports ball games.

The homes we have seen are very nice, let's see how long those HW's hold on to them.

Kellie needs to hike up their strapless dress, she was a deep breath away from a nip slip.

Porsha keeps checking to see if her boobs are still in her jacket, she forgot a shirt.

Lol what Porsha is acting like she didn't just instantly marry Simon because he was rich? Yea I'm really sure she's going thru something lol.

Drew & Dennis? Wtf.

Drew & Ralph in the house together like that is weird. Seems like a horrible idea & they can easily fuck with each other.

So much boobs.

Porsha is getting mad at someone for talking to her baby daddy but what she did was totally fine?

Kind of weird without Kandi but at least there's no chance of stupid Mama Joyce.

The one girl & her constant mentioning of Charles Oakley being her husband is annoying.

What's different about Cynthia? Too much filler?

So Shamea has the life Porsha wants basically.

And where did that life come from for Shamea anyway, as a friend of Porsha's they never talked about Shamea's husband or house or anything! This season it was the opener and I feel like we all screamed "Whhhaaaatttt?" when she shows up on screen with all the bells and whistles after thinking she was riding Porsha's coat tails for all those past seasons!

I think I just got pulled back into this season after I was out for good, sigh.

It's actually not a horrible solution when the family is breaking up and there is no DV. It allows for the children to have greater access to both parents, and less disruption in their day-to-day lives. There is no back and forth, no leaving clothes or homework or equipment at one home or the other. The parents need to be mature enough to not make the situation untenable, but I've seen it work before. I know a family where the parents decided to split, and the dad ended up living in the lower level of the family home from the time the child was 5 until she turned 14. At that point she could self-transport to see him, and he moved to an apartment about 1/2 mile away.

Sure it sounds like a good idea but I don't buy Ralph being nature enough for it.

These women are wearing very expensive clothes!

Cynthia's dress was ill fitting and looked like a cheap prom dress, she has enough money to buy nice clothes but no money for tailoring or a stylist to tell her "not that dress" when it probably took her assistant and makeup artists to zip that dress.

I am NOT enjoying Shamea. Oh my 9 million dollar house.... I hate being defined by my wealth. Mama please make it stop raining *randomly belts out tune* 🙄

Cynthia seemed tired and didn't make the best outfit choice.

Porsha couldn't wait to confront Kelli, and she handled it well even if I don't agree with what happened with her ex husband. There's some serious drama in store and I'm here for it.

I didn't think I would see Kenya at all this season.

If I went to a “formal” event where the husband gave the wife a $459,000 car and got served wine in a plastic cup I would be judgy.

Actually, if I went to any party and the husband gave the wife a car that was almost a half million dollars and I got wine in a plastic cup I would judge.
