Everything old is new again. I was looking at one of those Buzzfeed lists, you know "90s trends that are making gen zers cringe today" or some such. Half of them were things we did in the 60s and 70s.

Things seem to become "vintage" more quickly. I think we've done the 90s again several times.

Yeak, it’s like the 90s are their point of reference for ancient history. But some of this stuff does date back further!

I still don’t understand why adults can’t talk about this stuff in a mature manner/rhetorical. You ask to speak to Mina, tell her you got off on the wrong foot, you’re glad she makes your dad happy and you’ll do your best to get to know her better. And it doesn’t matter who owes who an apology. Life is too short.

I have things in my closet that would be called "vintage".

Someone I used to work with had a closet full of more than two decades of amazing outfits, and she showed up for work very well coordinated. Including banana clips. 😊 I think if you have clothes you love, you should wear them regardless of what's in style.

That's cute.

Without a doubt! If I could still fit into my size 8 Ralph Lauren culottes, or my red linen suit with an unconstructed jacket with shoulder pads, you bet your ass I'd wear them. I'm not sentimental as a rule, but I kept those because I love them. Maybe I'll fit into them again some day.
