He did keep her calm-ish during the bug challenge by talking to her and making her focus on things other than the bugs.  She wouldn't have made it through that challenge with anyone else as a partner. I found that fairly impressive. Maybe he should give up reality tv appearances and become a counselor of some sort.

I would assume there's something in contracts that prohibit Sam or the show from mentioning his ex-wife with any frequency but seeing him with the snake around his shoulders caused me to make COPIOUS numbers of "I'm A Slave 4 U" jokes to, well, myself.

I noticed in the preview that the six who have to go to the chapel to possibly get murdered are warring their red and black wedding garb. Did they get them cleaned of all the vermin that was dumped on them to rewear later the same day?

Kate Chastain from Below Deck was in both Season 1 and Season 2 of Traitors.  Season 1 she got Cirie through this challenge.  Season 2 she figured out what was going to happen and just quit.

After the challenge everyone was wearing the clothes they on during breakfast, not the fusx wedding garb.

Then the six had to put on the wedding garb again to meet their fate at the church. I guess someone cleaned their clothes between the challenge and the murder?

I feel like production probably dressed them in the red wedding outfits, so I'm hoping there were just multiple copies of the outfit. The thing that caught my attention was when they had cockroaches dumped on them, because you don't want to bring those back to the mansion or the hotel.

I had totally forgotten they were wearing the wedding garb on their way to meet (or not meet) The Traitors!

At first, I figured they just had the whole cast film walking up the altar to be murdered earlier in the day and then only used the shots of the actual people who could be murdered. But that wouldn't work for the person being murdered because the Traitors are coming to tell them face to face. I guess they could have had multiples of the outfits but that seems like a pretty big expense. And it doesn't seem like there would be time to wash them. Who knows lol.

Well, shoot. I like Rob and this show just got more boring without him. Danielle and Carolyn were so eager for Rob to go, but did neither consider that with Rob there nobody was looking at them as traitors? I hope neither one of them wins. They are both terrible traitors. Both play too emotionally and make dumb moves. I hope they recruit someone who manages to take them both out.

I kinda figure the whole "day" that encompasses an episode is really 2 or 3 days. I can't see them being able to film everything we see in an episode in 24 hours. From the shots at breakfast to the challenge to the bits in the castle after the challenge to the round table to the traitors meeting in the turret and then the shots of the person who was murdered. It has to take at least 2 days to film all of that, plenty of time for production to clean those costumes.

I didn't care about Rob either way (I've never watched whatever show he was on) but I really liked how he got Ciara through the challenge.  He was a good partner for that.

I also enjoyed how Sam and Ivar (or, as I call them, Team Wallpaper) were just cool and collected and curious about the bugs while Dylan was thoroughly enjoying Tom's discomfort.

Rob just came off so fake to me with Ciara. Obviously he doesn't really give a shit about her but like he wasn't even coming off like he was doing anything but pretend to get the money (which is fine). That is how he always is to me and it's why I don't understand why there are losers every time he's on something believing he actually cares about them and will be loyal to/help them.

But he's gone so I don't have to think about him anymore! Well, until he infiltrates another reality show I watch, which obviously he will.

I really like Carolyn, but it was so annoying the way she didn't pick up Rob's openness to work with her. They could have engineered a Danielle out, and taken some of the heat off Rob for a little while longer with that.

I also wish Rob had gotten the vote on Dylan, knowing he had the shield. I don't think Rob would have lasted a lot longer either way, but it is a flat feeling to think about the show going forward without his presence and voice.

Note to future Traitors contestants coming from the Big Brother / Survivor world: the Traitors is a completely different game and your strategies from BB and Survivor don't work here.  And that rule is multiplied by 10 if there are other "gamer" type contestants who are faithfuls.  With this show, you need to "murder" randomly and vote with the group at banishment.  Or in other words, be more like Cirie.

 

I've got to stick up for Rob and say that it's a huge disservice to compare his game to Dan's. Dan was a complete and utter failure, couldn't speak a sentence to save his life, didn't pick up on any strategy moves in the moment he could have made, didn't work with Parvati and Phaedra and just overall looked like a total idiot and deer in headlights.

Rob actually played the game and had strategies, pivoted when he needed to and convinced everyone to evict the strongest players. He was instrumental in getting the group to vote out Tony, Bob the Drag Queen and Wes. He convinced the other Traitors to murder Jeremy and Derrick. Those are the big threats this season - all gone now in large part to Rob. Dan could never ever pull that off in a million years. Dan couldn't even identify threats.
