I do Gujerati style green beans I got from a Madhur Jaffrey cookbook. Heat some black mustard seeds in a bit of oil, when they start to pop add garlic, and a little  red chili flake, saute the blanched beans to heat through, then add a bit of sugar, salt and fresh ground pepper. It is criminal how good they are!

I dont understand these family members attitudes. How can they facilitate him killing himself and say they are hopeful ?

If they're the same as what I had as a kid, it's a packet of flavored powder that you mix into a pitcher of water and add your own sugar. I think it called for a cup of sugar for a two-liter pitcher. Which as a kid I thought was not enough and now just sounds disgustingly sweet.
