Mr Lemon couldn't deal with the shower scenes. He saw the episode where they unhooked the washer on the back porch to hose down the fattie. He said he was out

Juggalo Nicole! A classic. So he didn't stick around for the sofa meatloaf, or her having her folds searched for concealed drugs by the police when her apartment was raided?

I honestly dont know why they don't send them to psychotherapy from the start.

That, and put the ones who don't lose the goal weight the first month on Ozempic or something. They don't have to stay on it forever, but I think 30 days of not meeting goal shows they need some help. Dr Now used the balloon on at least 1 patient, maybe that's an option, especially since you can't stay on the balloon for too long. It might be just enough time to get them past the early dietary changes. Dr Now says that some need the surgery soon, or they're going to die. They don't have enough time left to just do a diet. However, I also think some people will never get to get to the surgery stage without some extra help.

Ozempic could be a game changer for these patients. I wonder if Dr Now would ever prescribe it for them.

We are at 18 mins to the end.  I think she will end up losing 20 lb again, and decides that's good enough to 'do it her way' - go to therapy and the gym, occasionally try to eat less when she remembers, and lose 5-10-15 lbs per month.  What she doesn't realize is that at 10 lb per month rate it will take her several years to reach weight at which she can safety get surgery, and there is NO WAY she can sustain this effort unassisted for that long.

And again I will have wasted two hours of my life on this shit. I need to rethink my goals.

Jacky, the more you actually write things down, the less time you have to put a fork in your mouth. Most people can't do both at the same time!

Right? She needs to take up crochet or knitting or crosswords or something. Something to keep her hands busy.

She wants to become a vet. Dear sweet tap dancing little baby Jesus. She sounds like an eight year old. "I want to be a vet, and a ballerina, and a princess"

That's one constant on these shows, the sad iceberg lettuce with ranch dressing and shredded cheese. Always drives me crazy when they have a drill sergeant nutritionist come to the house and throw all their food out, then, leave.  Although, we haven't seen one in here in a while. Penny probably had her killed.  But why not teach them how to make some yummy healthier tacos? Even pizza could be made less fattening.  It doesn't have to be all iceberg lettuce and chicken breast.

My niece has lost about 45 lbs with Ozempic. She looks great!

I started O for blood sugar control. It started working for me almost immediately. Weight loss was a bonus. Alas, I got pancreatitis and had to stop taking it. I do think between the weight loss and whatever magic it did to my pancreas (before it wanted to eat it), it's been easier to keep my blood glucose in check. I've been diabetic for 25 years and it was getting harder, even rotating around meds.

Off topic - I got so bored, I started roaming around YT. A plane has collided wit a police helicopter over DC.  Mass casualty event.

Not much info...I didn't see anything about a helicopter, though..

"In a post on X, D.C. Fire and EMS said a small aircraft in the vicinity of the airport had crashed into the Potomac River. Fireboats are currently on the scene."

My last PCP offered me Ozempic a few years ago. I have managed to lose 80-90 pounds over the last few years (just by eating less, imagine that), but I've stalled in the last year or so. I'd love to lose forty more. My doc's since retired and I don't think the new guy will be game. Should have taken advantage of my opportunity.

I don't view it as wasted time.  I view it as quality time spent with my online besties!

Wow, she lost a good amount.  I am honestly surprised.  I wonder if it's a one-off or if therapy really made something 'click' for her.

I know we think its common sense but honestly I've had to teach mr lemon how to read a nutrition label. Now he gets it after I explained its just math. I think there are a lot of people like him

I just looked at the DC subreddit and a doctor has been notified of a mass casualty event. Another poster could smell burning. Lots of 1st responder activity. It was a DC police helicopter, over Reagan.
