Also, a custom wedding dress and THREE large wedding cakes?  I can see TLC maybe springing for one, but...  David must be loaded!

Aurora is 22 and Briana is 19. They might have been a year younger when this was filmed. But they are certainly old enough to carry on a conversation with their mother without looking like they are going to break into tears.   The word that comes to mind when I see these two in action is timorous.

I have heard Kody refer to his marriage to Robyn as a covenant marriage, which is supposed to be permanent and unbreakable.  So I guess that the only reason for doing this is to give them a reason to be on screen?  So that Robyn can out-do Christine in picking out a dress and a location (hard to top Moab)?  Geesh!  Why not pay child support instead of shelling out $$$ on a not needed wedding?

Agree it is just for more story line. But this "covenant" talk makes me think they are having a re-do of their marriage now as two "single" persons getting married, no plural wives lurking on the sidelines.  Kind of erasing them from memory like Robyn's awful drawing of Kody with her first three kids.  A rewrite of history so to speak ala Robyn. With Robyn as the beautiful, shy, glowing star of the show.  🤮

K and R are really pathetic. The jealousy of Christine and David is palpable. Re vow renewals. Don't they know the curse of reality vow renewals? Actually, divorce would get them one more season 🤑

This lives in my mind as one of the most horrific acts that Robyn subjected the family to. Christine is better woman than me, because I would've gone for her throat. All the OG kids had to witness it as well, and smile. Logan's reaction in particular comes to mind as he laughs and then covers his mouth. He's literally like, WTF am I looking at??? Of course, Robyn is tearing up.

I'm almost caught up. This episode is so far Kody's lies, lies, and self-delusion.  Even he can't possibly believe nothing changed when he married Robyn because he's already admitted Robyn is his true love (or rather Robyn is the only one who alternately caters to him and manipulates him). 

Chrisine is amazingly giddy trying on dresses. She was more giddy and dramatic than anyone I've seen IRL trying on wedding dresses.  I didn't need to hear Robyn opine. Dear Mykelti elegant and sexy don't go together in one dress very often. 

I like Meri's friends explaining to her how polygamy doesn't work for anyone. They're good at moving forward.

So Christine did go to a store that does custom and customized dresses along with regular styles. Christine's was relatively easy since she picked pieces of their existing dresses so the design work was minimal.  The dress was pretty much lining and overlay so once the machine sewing was done, it was done.  That can be run up quickly.  My daughters' dresses all had handwork that can take a long time and is frequently done overseas.  More than likely to meet the TV schedule, they used an extra seamstress for the dress or Christine jumped the line. While my grandmother generally was contacted directly by brides, if shops got overloaded they'd call to see if she could help them out.  It's really common for the shops to contract out the sewing and alterations.  So it would be a customized dress not a fully custom bespoke dress.

Is the whole church discussion in response to online communities saying they appear to have ditched religion?  At college age, the kids should just go to church on their own.

Can Christine please stop with David and I and learn David and me is frequently proper? 

All my kids had multiple cake flavors.  That part actually seemed normal to me!

If this is the case, I'm surprised more people aren't speaking out.

I recognize organized religion often project subliminal messages re: various groups/beliefs they don't approve of,  but I can't say I've ever looked up a church, and found a list, or summary, of  things they're not tolerant of.

Then again, I haven't been church shopping in decades.

I've taught in the past, and this is a tough one for people to navigate because as youths, everyone is overly aware to use I as in "Amanda and I went to town".

I always remind people to take the other(s) out of the draft sentence to see if it flows. "I went to town". (I is correct here.)

"Amanda brought apples to my mom and I."  Take out mom... "Amanda brought apples to I." (I is wrong, replace with me.)

Yes, I'm quite, quite, quite aware of the proper use of I and me and the methods for identifying which one to use as are all my children and grandchildren. I think the lesson was taught to them at age 2 to 3 and took five minutes or less. That is why hearing Christine misuse I as the object of a preposition irritates me so much.  

Johnny and me went to town would be irritating as well.  

They are both so basic.  No child left my classroom without understanding certain minimal grammar concepts.

I wasn't implying your grammar isn't proper.

The whole point of me sharing my 'quick fix' example was because I became aware of how difficult certain grammar "rules" are for many people.

I only wanted to make a suggestion for anyone reading the forum thinking, 'I get those two (me I) confused, as well.' 

(I also question a child fully understanding the difference at 2 or 3.)
