I think Sam is overestimating his standing in the game here.

I think he realizes he’s on the bottom though. How is he overestimating his standing?

I think the poster meant that he's overestimating his challenge prowess.  He's been stomped in most of them since the merge hit.

I mean honestly, how many times have the Shot In the Dark worked anyway?

Yes, I know it's happened twice but the majority of the time, the player just lost their vote and they still weren't safe.

Also, Gabe, while you see this as a great move that you made sure no one had that hail mary to play, I think it just soldified the players' desire to get you out if you lose immunity.

I don't think he's on the bottom.  I guess I look at it like they took Sierra out over him because she was a bigger threat.  I think there are bigger fish to fry over him but I'm not sure if he sees it like that.

This too.

I wish they saw if their shot was good or not.

So is it predetermined? Or is there some kind of randomized selection when someone uses it? Either way, what are the odds it would be good? 1/6? 1/8? So I can see that looking at the fairly low chance that you would use the SITD, and that it would work, makes that rice look pretty good.

I think maybe 1 person gets a safe of all the players or is it 1 per original tribe? I wish Jeff let them see after he took them. Just to see if any had the safe.

I think when they use it they draw from a hat and have a 1 in 6 shot at being safe. It is not pre-determined.

Oh joy, Sue versus her obsession. Interesting, this is the second time a challenge has come down to those two. The players need to start paying attention to Sue.

She's strong, very loyal to Gabe AND has an idol.

eta: Damn, go Kyle!

Yeah thinking about it, if it were predetermined, and someone successfully used their SITD, then all future shots would be canceled.

I’m sorry…I am honestly not a shallow person, but Sue is just so hard to look at, with those pursed lips and the white ring around them, her pointed chin, etc.  I already don’t love her personality and her white-hot hatred of Kyle (over an early, one-off vote!), but I want her out just so I can quit looking at her!

Sue is starting to look like a baked potato that lost it's foil after 20 minutes in the oven. And she told people she was 45 ?

She looking older than her real age.

So the discussion right now is between Gabe and Genevieve. It would be funny if Genevieve goes because it does prove the point that while big moves are important for your Survivor resume, sometimes it can end up blowing up your entire game, which would have made it all for nothing.

I feel like it will be Gabe tonight - looks like only Sue is still loyal to him among the original Tuku. Plus the editors left in his saying he's never felt better in the game. Famous last words.

I like Gabe so I don't want him to go.  But I can't argue he'd be a good choice (though everybody better be ready for the wrath of Sue next week if they vote off her #1).

Yeah, Gabe's getting a little too overconfident here.  And now Caroline is thinking of voting him off.  I actually love that people are willing to ditch their alliances or not stay loyal to their OG tribal lines if it betters their game.  Not sure if this will be in Caroline's best interest, but she seems to think so.

And Rachel seems hell-bent on getting Genevieve out.

And Kyle flat out tells Gabe it'll be him or Genevieve?  Wasn't he onboard with voting Gabe off?  Why tell him?  Wondering if he's going to regret giving up his SITD.

Well, I admit I have no idea how this is going to go.  Seems like it'll be between Gabe or Genevieve though but I just don't know who.

This group is all over the place.  Is Gabe that much of a threat?  Sue’s done better than him hasn’t she?  Andy and Rachel both look like goats.

Rachel seems like she's overplaying in wanting to get Genevieve out.  I think Genevieve unnecessarily put a target on her back with the Sol vote and now Rachel might be doing the same by insisting on getting her out.

Kyle, Survivor rule #1 - don't tell someone they might be going. Why didn't he tell Gabe the plan was definitely Genevieve?

I guess it's possible Gabe knew his name was being thrown around anyway so Kyle's comment wasn't really that shocking to him.
