Loved this episode! Luna, FTW! I've really enjoyed seeing the friendship and partnership grow between the three women.

The resolution of the mystery was clever, if a bit convoluted. I hope this gets a second season. It ticks all my cozy mystery boxes.

Judith must have been pretty desperate, to throw all of her cocaine, in the killer's face.

The show has already been renewed for a 6 episode second season.

I did think conspiracy, but not “strangers on a train” style. The ending only lacked one thing-the sgt. in charge getting in detective sourpuss’s face and telling him he was a dunce, falling for the diversion. Judith was so much smarter figuring exactly who was coming to get her. Really can’t wait for more of this!

I did think it was odd that Becks went to the belfry to get the bellrope & not something that maybe should've been in one of the police car's boots. I mean, I guess that's where a vicar's wife's mind would go.

It was kind of 'Strangers in a Train' +1.  And yep, Det. Sourpuss really needed to be brought down a peg or two.

Good dog, Luna!  The Marlow Murder Club origin story really was quite lovely.

This definitely was an enjoyable show. I initially didn’t like Becks, before she joined the team, as she seemed kind of snotty. But after she joined the team, she seemed a lot more approachable

As for the resolution of the murders, it followed the trope of bad guy admitting to what he did to his intended victim, giving the police and her friend enough time to get there and save the day. But Judith certainly put some thought into figuring it out. I guess that was due to her aunt hoarding stuff? She clearly threw the guy when she tied him to the two other killers as old friends

That’s because Becks was totally unseen, unappreciated by her family. Glad to see progress in that arena, as well.

I wanted to like this so much, but I had issues with it from the start, the same as I did with the book, sadly. 

I loathe people who put themselves in danger just to prove themselves right. Judith rubbed me the wrong way, pushing in where she had no authority, and then acting surprised by the consequences. It's not like she tried to go through proper authorities first and then determined she needed to strike out on her own.

What kind of a moron determines she's next in line to be murdered and doesn't ask the police to help her? It's not like she was concerned the murderer was on the police force. I hated that. Judith is so brilliant that she sets herself up like that? No, just no.

And she continued to not play fair, even when the police detective made her a consultant. Ugh.

What I did enjoy was seeing the beautiful village and scenery. Let's hope season 2 provides more character development. This was a very well-lit series and I would watch a second season for the cinematography.

Same!  I mentioned in another episode thread how much I'd love to have a place that allowed for a river swim/dip. Though I don't think I'd have the courage to skinny dip during daylight as it seemed Judith was doing (& with all the recent headlines about what's being dumped into the rivers/ocean in/around England, I may have a second think about that!).  I truly have house/location envy.  Would love to be able to take a canoe picnic too!

I had begun to think, by the end of the 3rd episode, that this would turn out to be a "Strangers on a Train" sort of situation, only with all three participants actually participating, so the resolution did not surprise me at all.  (Especially since there was a season of Unforgotten which used this very conceit to connect three seemingly unconnected murders.)  Still, I enjoyed the conclusion a lot.

I thought the series started off pretty slow, but I'm so glad I stuck with it.

I love that no one batted an eye at Judith’s skinny dipping.

Yes! Why not call the police officer and tell her what she figured out? And then go ahead and set up a sting with the police already in place?

I was a bit disappointed with this episode as I felt it was overly convoluted.  Running to the church, grabbing the key to the bell tower, ringing the bell and then cutting the rope.  Just seemed overly involved.  And then all of the flashbacks of Judith's life.  Added drama and some back story but it didn't add to the overall story/mystery IMO.  

I did like that Chevok's dog played a key role and grabbed the murderer, so nice play off there.  

Overall I liked the show and will look forward to season two but it almost felt like they didn't have enough story for this episode so threw in subplots and back story to fill it out.  My opinion only...

I had mixed feelings, too. The plot at the end seemed as cluttered as Judith's (her aunt's) house. The 'Strangers on a Train' solution seems quite unbelievable when it involves more than 2 killers/victims. And I also switched impressions on the characters: started out liking Judith and despising Becks, but ended up thinking Judith was kind of nuts and that Becks had taken charge of her life at last.

A nitpick, but I also couldn't figure out how or why Judith was living in that immense bric-a-brac stuffed house apparently completely alone. Surely she'd have to have a cleaning person and a gardener at the very least. The dusting!

However, I'd definitely watch the next season just for the scenery and ambiance.
