Maybe the small pattern on the tie marched with the check on the shirt but on TV I thought the red of the tie clashed with the shirt. 1 hour ago, Browncoat said: I guessed olive for FJ, thinking you might extend an olive branch for peace among competitors. It made more sense in my head. Olive crossed my mind but I discarded it. I didn't think it was laurel (although I don't blame anyone for guessing it) but I would not have thought of palm. Mehal is well-positioned for one of the wildcard spots. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8556831
proserpina65 Friday at 07:53 PM Share Friday at 07:53 PM So I had a pretty good game last night. Better in the first round than in the second, but still, I ran Beef, Photo, Laugh, Short Stories, Travel USA and "More" Or "Less". I got all but one clue in Dams, Vocab and History. (Should've run History but Joey said Galileo before I could.) The stumpers I got were Steve Martin, Emily, Mystic, the Ballet Theatre and Mikhail Baryshnikov. I have a book about the history of the American Ballet Theatre which includes that picture of Eugene Loring. And it was my love of Misha Baryshnikov which inspired my interest in ballet, so that one was an instaget. Unlike FJ, where I also said "laurel". I wanted Eamonn to win because, well, look at him, but he really lost steam in DJ. But unlike some other recent games, I liked all three contestants so I was okay with the winner and the possible wild card. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8557223
Grizzly Saturday at 12:07 AM Share Saturday at 12:07 AM It seems like the Wildcard tournament has been pretty lacking in women contestants. Hoping they've already qualified for TOC. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8557355
ams1001 Saturday at 12:26 AM Share Saturday at 12:26 AM (edited) January 17: 57% / 47% / 52% Terrible game. In J I missed three in "B" Pictures and two each in everything else. In DJ I missed one in Rhyme Time, two in Drama, Mish Mash, and Bath, three in Swampy America, and all five in Science (that's usually a decent category for me, too). But I got FJ! (My only one of the week and it was an asterisk! Which I find a little surprising...) TSes: (J had 2; DJ had 3) I got your last breath, knight plight, and mopey Dopey (helped that the one without a beard was a mini crossword clue recently). Katy M Saturday at 12:31 AM Share Saturday at 12:31 AM in my defense, I was sure this wasn't right, but I said Donald Trump, because all I could think of was "You're fired." LOL. Gunfire never entered my head and I didn't know how you could throw away fire. But, once the answer was revealed I totally remembered that. I got the missed clues of smile, ursa minor and mopey dopey. I got the entire category of 10 right. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8557368
Browncoat Saturday at 12:59 AM Share Saturday at 12:59 AM I did not get FJ, but it was so obvious after the answer was revealed. I was stuck on fire as flames, and just couldn't figure out the clue. And the only TS I got was breath. Not my best night. It's been a long week. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8557396

SoMuchTV Saturday at 01:18 AM Share Saturday at 01:18 AM Oh, man, second place guy, talk about “throwing away your shot”! I know they don’t know the status of previous games (as far as who the potential wildcards were) but surely he should have thought his balance (something like 18k, I think!) would have put him firmly in the running. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8557484

The Wild Sow Saturday at 05:45 PM Share Saturday at 05:45 PM Somehow my last 2 or 3 posts - from my phone - have not showed up. Gonna have to check that. Anyway....No Hamilfans on last night's show? Wow! The entire show is about how Alex "won't throw away his shot" - and then proceeds to do just that. And Aaron Burr standing back to "wait for it...wait for it..." And then doesn't! Also, what was with all the paintings? Was it "Nekkid Art Day" on Jeopardy last night?! 😁LOL even Birth of Venus, although they didn't show it, just described it! 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8558003

januaryman Saturday at 10:38 PM Share Saturday at 10:38 PM I don't have any strong opinions about Adam either way but I hoped Jen or Paul would beat Will so I'm glad they're getting another chance. Drew and Joey are my favorites of this bunch and Will is my least favorite. I'd like to see Drew advance just to see him pitted against Drew Basile and how Ken would read the names. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8558171

ams1001 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago (edited) January 20: I panicked for a second when I saw channel 7 was doing a special report on the inauguration, but channel 6 was not, thank goodness (7 is from NYC, 6 is from Philly but not in HD). Terrible game...in J I missed one in Museums, two in MLK, This & That and Back Words & Forward, three in Farm Tools, and four in British Sitcoms. In DJ I missed one in Politics and Starts with D, two in Broadway and Psychology, and four in French Geography and 18th Century Writing. No clue for FJ (well, I guessed it was a submarine, at least). TSes: (J had 5 + the DD; DJ had 3, assuming I counted correctly since the archive is only partially complete at the moment) I got department store. Drew can wear short sleeves for the rest of the tournament, please. Katy M 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago I had less than 0 idea on FJ. I got the missed clues of dept store and go for it. So so night. And I did that exact same thing for the curling parents. Just threw it out there and was shocked it was right. 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8559712

Grizzly 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago I can die happy. My two favorite British comedies were mentioned on Jeopardy. So I knew Judi Dench and dept store. SoMuchTV 12 hours ago Share 12 hours ago (edited) Quote Like "helicopter parents", this term from a sports-minded Danish psychologist describes parents who sweep obstacles away from kids I thought “snowplow parenting” was a much more common term for the same phenomenon, and it’s also sports-related (skiing), but I suppose it wasn’t coined by a Danish psychologist? possibilities 11 hours ago Share 11 hours ago My station pre-empted part of DJ to live cover some political bullshit, so I missed what sounds like was a fun part of the game. But I was able to se FJ, which was hilarious and very endearing on the part of all players. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149217-jeopardy-season-41-2024-2025/page/29/#findComment-8559892
