Thank you, everyone here has been so kind. It’s hard but the distraction helps. Get this though…I had a total meltdown because the bank somehow also declared my brother dead, froze his accounts and called…it was a mistake ( how though?)but not a phone call I needed. The bank also won’t allow me to pay her bills even though I am beneficiary so will probably go into debt doing all that until this is settled ….i called  a lawyer. Banks are the worst. I don’t care about the money I want my mom back but she left us money to wrap up her finances and we can’t because the bank is being a jerk…even the lawyer said this is insane

Yikes! So familiar! Don't forget the, "Am Micheal (or whatever misspelled Western name) by name," line. I was telling someone recently about the messages and emails I used to receive asking for help to get money out of some account, or wanting to get to know each other better.  🙄 No one in this hemisphere writes like that.
