Hi everyone! Been missing our dates due to an active social life! I would not trust this Turkish surgeon if he were the last doctor on earth. His face is horrific. Oh, and I couldn't care less about these two

I'm learning how to play my mah jongg and was told my first tile strategy was good! Just my second class, absolute beginner, just having fun learning a new game.

An active social life? How dare you? Did you get group approval? 🤣🤣

I was trying to learn with some retired neighborhood ladies and it was a lot of fun!  One was a retired grade school teacher and she was the best teacher!  I had to stop, though because they wanted to meet when I had to work.

When I read your post I realized that if someone just started watching any of these shows they would certainly wonder why we keep saying random things are better in Turkey.😂

That’s the beauty of this little snark community. Everyone is welcome, but you’ll have to catch up if you want to get the full experience.

My son is looking at colleges and my biggest thing is..how fast can I get there if he needed me?

I hear that. My son went to culinary school in Providence, an hour away. I don't know how well I could have coped if he'd gone further afield. When we dropped him off there was one girl in his class who came all the way from Colorado, hanging on her mother's neck in floods of tears. Broke my heart.

My life must have been weird...I couldn't get far enough away.

Thanks for asking…about the same. The rehab is very painful so she called and told me not to visit as they were knocking her out with some heavy duty meds. I think unfortunately it will be slow going.

I hear that! My mother's still in the hospital, they're not moving her until they can figure out what's happening with her kidney. (Might have been injured when she fell, maybe?) We thought she'd be in the hospital for a day or two but we're coming up on a week now. Fortunately the staff at the hospital are super nice and sweet and love her, so she's being well taken care of. But its lonely for her. Here's hoping both our mothers are safely home soon!

I am sorry to hear that. It really can be two steps forward and three steps back. My mom is lonely as well and despite her complaints I do think she is getting good car. Cheers to both our mothers!

Hola my friends! It is rainy and cold here, and the contractor is coming TOMORROW to start the bathroom renovation! So its been a mad rush of clearing,  doing laundry,  packing, and cleaning. I have to be up at 6 tomorrow for last minute stuff. I am breathless with anticipation!

How's everyone's Monday been?

Good luck with the Reno!
