Has everyone had a good weekend? Everyone around here is sick! Houseguest was so sick last week, she's still recovering. She went to the doctor but she was ten minutes late and they refused to see her, even though she was clearly VERY sick. Coughing, feverish, weak. They callously told her to go to urgent care, which she did, and spent four hours there. Poor thing. They couldn't really pinpoint what it was--not covid, not flu, not pneumonia. So they gave her steroids and antibiotics and she is slowly mending. BUT it must be the week of shitty medical care at Casa Mostly, my husband came home from working in Maine for a week, feeling kinda flu-y but not terrible. But today he had fever and chills and felt wobbly. Goes to the doctor. NP sends him home to take a covid test! Told him that if it came back negative he could go back. Can you imagine?? Poor guy, took the test, came back negative, goes BACK to the doctor's office, they deign to see him but tell him nothing. No diagnosis, no prescription, no suggestions. He's sound asleep in front to the TV right now. I fervently hope I don't get sick because I will brook none of this nonsense. 

Phew. OK, let's boogie!

That is ridiculous! Shitty medical care indeed. So sorry! Hope things improve and you stay healthy. (I survived my colonoscopy last week. Whew.)

It’s a shit show. She is about the same but they are transferring her to our 3rd choice rehab hospital and we are pissed because people in her ward that were admitted after her got HER first choice location. This is some bullshit but thanks for asking!

If only there was some kind of thing like an information super highway whereby a person could search, for free, like oh I don’t know, the requirements of a degree program in the country to which the person is interested in moving so that said person could decide not to move if the requirements were too difficult. Really wish they’d invent that.

I agree that they're hugely incompatible, but I like Dempsey. She's a cheerful, can do, sunny kind of person. Statler's such a downer. No wonder Dempsey was so frustrated by her shit behavior. She'd been biting her tongue and trying to be supportive and helpful and Statler kept whinging and telling her that she was probably scamming her and doubted her sincerity. Fuck Statler, she's a nightmare and I feel sorry for anyone who encounters her.

What I couldn't figure out was why they made an appointment for him but didn't tell him to take a covid test before he came in! He dragged his sick ass out to the car and drove there, and they sent him home to take a test!! Jesus. We've been patients at this practice for years and years but our usual doc just retired and we were moved to another location. The people at the new place are terrible. My first visit with my new doc, he was 45 minutes late! I was going to leave, but when I got out to reception there was NO ONE there. I wandered around looking for someone, just to tell someone I'd been waiting too long and was leaving. (So I went back to the exam room and my doc magically appeared). Jesus.

I can understand your viewpoint. My husband also suffers from anxiety and has ADHD. He is taking responsibility for his mental health, it’s a struggle sometimes but we work hard to understand each other. Stapler doesn’t seem to have any interest in improving her mental health, instead using it as a crutch to get what she wants and an excuse to treat others poorly.  Maybe I am biased but that is my opinion of her.

Thanks, that's my take as well. I know scads of people with ADHD, and/or anxiety. They take care of themselves and do the best they can.
