I  remember Garcelle had beautiful long legs on The Jamie Foxx Show. And I agree, when you're as naturally beautiful as her, you can look stunning with Maybelline makeup and an outfit from Target. 

Most importantly, she is beautiful inside and out. There are so many beautiful Housewives who are just not the nicest people.

I'm joking.  I'm hoping that the edit we are seeing of Sutton doesn't continue.  I've never been 100% on her side, because she does have her problematic moments, but she has redeemed herself over the last few seasons, and I enjoy rooting for her.

I vowed to not watch this season and only read here, but I was intrigued reading about the male stripper show and the slut-pig (a phrase coined by Kyle and Kim) and Suttons reaction to it, so I “slipped” and watched it.

 

I completely get Suttons reaction. I too would be horrified being associated with such a disgusting display as Erica put on, so easily “100% getting into it” at the drop of a hat. How embarrassing and I would be humiliated and sickened if my real peers, friend group, ever saw me associating myself with such trash (and enjoying it). Birds of a feather flock together and all that. I can see why Sutton removed herself immediately from that public display of really porny bad taste. Also that she immediately thought about what her ballet friends would think of her, seeing her association with the likes of Erica the easy spreader with lust filled facial expressions, to boot. Akkk! 

Don’t drag me into scenes like this, you low life scum bucket. 

And screw you Kyle for magnifying it and blaming Sutton for not wanting to be included in the Ho-like performance, and just pretend it didn’t bother her. Erica was horrifying! At least Crystal was giggly and shy about the stage scene. I don’t think she would normally go along with that and be smiley about it. She is just terrified the others will attack her too, so she felt she had to pretend it was no big deal. (It was). I wonder what her husband thinks of the whole thing. Shes got those young kids too. 

She was not offended that they didn’t ask her to join them on stage (I am also sure Erica told them not to ask her (to make her feel like the undesirable one out of the group) Thank God for that! 

She had no clue the “show” would drop to that level of bad taste and that is why she said she wore pants for nothing. Just incase they did invite her on stage for what “normal” male strip show does. I’ve been to one and they can be fun, (as long as I am not picked to be gyrated at.)

I cant even stand the way the men come up to women in the audience and start those snakelike gyrations inches away from someones face. 

NO THANK YOU! Its a huge turn off to me. Call me a prude or whatever you wish to. Yep, thats me if thats the definition of this scenario. A pearl clutching, gagging prude, who would walk away before associating myself with it. 

Let the others whoop it up and enjoy it if they do, but leave me out. I”ll catch you later after it’s done. No problem with what others find entertaining on a show I am contracted to be on…but I would choose not to participate.

Sutton does have a side mind to what her public persona is seen as, and thats why she was the one to quickly contact her lawyer about whether or not she, or the others would be somehow included in the bad press Erica and Toms GRAND LARCENY would possibly involve them in. 

Dorit is an ass to say  a whole year has gone by so therefore Garcelle should “be over it” by then.

Screw you Dorit. 

You can damn well better believe I would NEVER forget or get over something like that. Witness cruelty to my young kid and then sit there and laugh about it on camera… you can bet you would never ever be trusted with whats most important to me ever again. Whats more important than people own children? Nothing.

If anyone ever said or did things like that concerning Dorits kids, do you think she would just wave it off after a year as water under the bridge? 

Not a chance, so shut up Dorit. The tone of voice she reserves only for Garcelle is disgusting, and undeserved too.

This is why I cant watch this. It gets me too riled up.

100% agree with you about those male strip shows, I do not consider myself a prude or pearl clutcher but I do not like the crotch in face sort of thing.  I think Erika arranged her part with the dancer because I think she was treating that moment as an audition for her Vegas show.

Sutton could have just leaned over to the others and said she was going to the ladies room and then left but she sort did leave in a huff, the others picked up on her huff.

I think the huff Sutton left in, was because of the disgusting outrageous action Erica performed without a second thought in front of her face. It was shocking and not in a good way. It was Humiliating and embarrassing to be associated with someone like that in a “friend group”. 

She was disgusted at Ericas readiness to be disgusting, and couldn’t hide it. After all…it was Suttons birthday gift to Crystal, taking them all on that birthday vacation and then Erica had to go and make a disgusting spectacle of herself when in Suttons mind, she wanted to go all out, Top quality, luxury accommodations and foodie menus, “ Elegant” and probably mostly on her dime. Erica had to go and stick a raunchy pig rutting show in the middle of it and make it about her own desire to be an over the top sexual exhibitionist. Sheesh. I would be upset with her too. 

How many times can I think, or write the word disgusting. Apparently as many times as needed to describe Erica or her ways. Endless.

And boy! Kyle sure can order up the whole menu of the most expensive items when someone else’s dime is paying for it. Sheesh! For someone who doesnt eat much, all the items she ordered was like she was the birthday girl having her last meal on earth and she was going to go all out dammit! 
I’d have been embarrassed to order what Kyle ordered on someone else’s dime. So tacky.

So... I buy that Sutton thought she knew what she was in for, with the show, and then found herself getting very uncomfortable. Personally, I'm as sex-positive as they come, but one time I attended a Magic Mike-type show and it made me extremely uncomfortable, personally. Like, there was something almost...predatory?... about it. And I've seen much more explicit shows in Amsterdam and not had this reaction. That's just me, though! No shade to anyone who enjoys Magic Mike! 

Also, I feel that Sutton didn't actually make a big show out of leaving. Yeah, maybe she could excused herself a bit more quietly. She could have said "I need to use the restroom" instead of flouncing out. But she specifically told Dorit not to follow her. It only became a "thing" because Garcelle went after her and kept talking to her about it. Moreover, she never asked Kyle to tell the other women that it was time to go! 

Where Sutton loses me is in being so judgmental. It's totally fine and valid to say "This isn't my cup of tea" and quietly excuse yourself. It is not fine to judge the other women for participating. It's obnoxious to rant about the American Ballet and it's shitty to say, "I'm not friends with women who do these things." You are not the arbiter of culture, Sutton!

We have to remember this is a TV show with producers on site who orchestrate the action. Sutton may have left the auditorium just fine but started ranting to the producers (unless talking to herself) about the ballet board as soon as she got into the hallway. I have absolutely no doubt producers ran in and grabbed Garcelle so Sutton would have someone to rant to to keep the drama rolling. They then probably sent Kyle in there to ramp things up a bit more. The producers also could have told Kyle to send that text about how they have to leave now because of Sutton. The producers also have specific storylines in mind every time they film and tell people to bring specific things up. This is why every housewives lunch/dinner/event has a confrontation and rehashing fights from prior lunches/dinners/events. Right, I don't disagree with any of this. If anything, this supports my point that the "scene" wasn't made by Sutton leaving but rather by the women's reactions to it.

I'm a little older than Sutton and have seen Chippendales referenced on tv.  I haven't seen the movie Magic Mike, nor the show in Vegas, but I knew it was male erotic dancers.  And, had only my outdated Chippendales reference in my head when they mentioned it.  I think Sutton prepared herself for the mild version- she brought dollar bills, enjoyed the opening number, etc.  I think the more explicit moves really shocked her.  She had a reaction and left.  (Many will call it an over-reaction). She did nothing to insult the dancers and I know she didn't intend on Crystal's birthday night going south because of her reaction.

But she didn't - when they arrived and some of the men entered the box and lap-danced on Crystal, Garcelle, etc. you could actually see her face change as she didn't get approached or danced upon, and that's when she said, "So much for wearing pants", and then was further ignored when Erika and Crystal was taken up on stage - cue the temper tantrum.

Exactly. My final thought on this 'outing' is if Crystal was enjoying herself, that's all that matters. She was being a good sport and  her behaviour was fine.

The only reason that this will be her storyline for the season is if Kyle keeps talking about it and Crystal, Erika and Dorit chime in and knowing that crew they will keep it up because they want to keep the story off of them.   I think Sutton has move on. This is absolutely disgusting and extremely offensive. Erika was looser and more “fun” than she’s ever been before, so it’s fine that she spoke to Garcelle’s sons that way. It’s more important that Erika is feeling less guarded around them. Kyle and Dorit are terrible. I don’t care if Kyle and Erika “apologized.” They feel no remorse for disrespecting Garcelle’s sons and Garcelle. They only apologized because their PR teams told them to.

Sutton made a scene though. Before any women followed, even Garcelle, she rushed out, and she told the camera crew loudly while trying to remove her mic pack "I'm taking the f...... mic pack off" by the entrance.

I feel like that could be read as Sutton not trying to make a scene. She didn't want her exit to become a "thing" on the show.

But it did become a scene because she is on a reality show, and she knew before she went what kind of show it was. She was loud, angry, and used the f word. She created scenes before for unimportant issues: she used a face roller at a boat making people think she was crazy, screamed about the ugly pants because she was not told to bring a gift when others did, she was upset she was not part of Kathy's drinking prank, she was tough with a pregnant Teddi.
