That was bizarre. In a country with sketchy medical care, he's offering her a full-ride OB/GYN and she turns him down? I'm guessing it's because a real doctor would know that she's not pregnant, or at least the timelines with their tryst and the baby's development don't match up.

I think that Statler's discussion of the impacts of adoption on her is the most (only) honest and real thing about her. I think it explains a lot of her issues; I just wish she could translate that insight into the ability and willingness to address her issues. 

I know lots of people whose adoptions (or other 23andMe revelations) have jacked them up emotionally, so I would agree more with this *if* Statler led with it. Instead it seems like a thing she grasps at as a catch all for bad girlfriend behavior or as a “Do As I Please” card when other bullshit she’s saying isn’t effective.

What an awkward situation at the jewelry store. The diamond was tiny; and I mean very tiny. Had he not looked into the prices before to see what his money would get? What could she say? Aren't these people in their 40's? She deserves a beautiful huge diamond ring for putting up with him, not a chip. I would have been extremely embarrassed to have my new fiance bargaining in front of me for the cheapest ring in the showroom. Why does she put up with this clown????

In certain parts of the world, heavy bargaining is expected, so prices are raised accordingly to allow the customer to feel like their bargaining skills got them a great deal.  And add to that the fact that Nicola brought his well to do looking American fiancé, and there would be a huge initial  mark up.

Regarding Razvan and Amanda.

You can tell the wheels were turning in regards to should I stay or should I go weighing the options of being on tv and getting more screen time.  Dollars to donuts if there wasn't a camera and a tv show, Razvan would have dumped Amanda's butt on that last day and found a new American gf who didn't have some much baggage.

In rural areas the medical care might be sketchy, but doesn't she live in the city?  I'm pretty sure they have very good hospitals and medical care options.

They were in the Old City of Jerusalem.  Bartering is expected in those shops, and the prices are always inflated. As someone mentioned upthread, it's cultural.  They make bunches with tourists who take the price tag at face value.

She also tolerates him sniffing his very sweaty pits in public so...in the grand scheme of things with him, haggling in a shop is not so bad. lol

If I wanted a big diamond but was aware it was out of my fiance's budget, I would have opted for a different stone engagement ring, but (supposedly) Meisha was taken by surprise by both the proposal and heading right to the jewelry store.

And Jasmine was so hysterical, it makes me wonder if she lost her shit during the non-interview because things weren't going according to plan, and once she got outside she realized that she probably fucked the whole thing up.

Good points. I wondered if Violet took an ovulation test and then had to bum rush Riley to sleep with her. The timing and immediacy looks very suspicious. Maybe she found out she was pregnant too and needed to seal the deal. 
Maybe Immigrant officials saw her on this show and looked at her wrong. I’m not sure Jasmine knows half the time what she is fake crying about.

Violet is a very attractive and intelligent woman, but IMO way older than 43. I don't think she is pregnant (neither does Riley) and do think she has some sort of con going. Not sure what it is, but I see the bottom falling soon.

I was happy that Violet saw through Riley towards the end, and it was clear that she was not interested in being "with" him. If she had have been pregnant, she could do with financial help, but no way was Violet interested in a future with Riley.
