Her parents abandoned her and her brother when they were small and the grandparents raised them.  She was cheated on by an ex.  She had a dance scholarship to college but lost it when Brandan insisted that she quit the dance team.  They both carry a lot of baggage.  It’s funny how all through the show they acted like Mary was the only controlling one and then we see at the end that he is equally controlling.  Maybe they are made for each other but it seems super toxic on every level.

Charge while using for sure. Don’t most people have unlimited data these days? And you’d use the wifi at home. 
 

Of course it is absolutely weird AF, but not because of the technology required.

After everything that happened with Paul and Karine- I didn’t get the impression Brandan had any sort of criminal history or violent tendencies, but these kids are so damn young and haven’t always had stability. Yes Mary’s grandparents have been there for her, but I can see how they were likely focused on providing and meeting the kids needs, not having the tools to work through the trauma of the parent’s abandonment.

I haven't seen the show  and these two came up when a poster was comparing Mary's family home to the other Filipinas that the franchise has featured. Is Brandan suppose to be an expat heading out to the provinces, what is he suppose to do to make money over there? Or is The Other Way just referring to the wedding destination as they head towards a US K-3 or CR-1 visa?

Supposedly, he moved there to live. The plan seems to be that he will work on the family farm.

Yes, that seems to be the plan...yet I am not sure if that is even how her family earns any money. Maybe selling the rice? But the way she described it sounded like subsistence farming. Maybe they sell a few animals or the rice here or there, but it certainly isn't a large operation. I would think they need other sources of income. And the fact that she threw away a full scholarship to university to sit on facetime 24/7, and her family was ok with that just blows my mind.

Just by reading between the lines of the episode and couples post I am betting that the family is down playing their real estate holdings and a married Mary is looking to inherit. And if she needs a husband for some sort of covenant then a foreign husband can't take over the land.

Now good old Brandan is running out of $$$ and wants Mary to ask Grandpa for something to kick in to help with the bills.  This guy has built her family a BRAND NEW HOUSE!!!

So if I am following the thread and the one episode I saw where they went to mass then Mary was providing cam sex and somehow that became exclusive always running content until Brandan was sucked dry of the limited money a young man of his age could have acquired. 

Now with the cameras and her small slice of fame for Mary possible due to reality TV bookers looking for content providers Brandan lands onto a small Philippines island to get married and hopefully live off of TV residuals and what a small farm can provide.

If it is indeed better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all Brandan may have won. He, not being the stereotypical 40s to 50s guy on the rebound or never successful before turning over his accumulated assets  on a last chance gamble. As he does have time to start over should he return to America. Although he might be leaving a child behind, or Mary giving their child up for a better life a starting over Brandan could provide in America.

Sorry. I had to read and then re-read your post a few times and I am still puzzled.

First, Sharp entertainment does not provide any tv residuals.  Second, and I am not being mean, just practical, neither Mary or Brandan would be tv worthy for any television work in the Philippines.  Have you seen some of the women that are on their tv? Absolutely gorgeous. Mary cannot even compare.  Third, neither of them are enterprising enough to make money as influencers.  I can see Mary maybe moving to camming or OF but that's pretty much it.

Plus life in America isn't any better than what their life is like so far in the Philippines.  I mean remember how Brandan was living in a trailer behind his god parent's home?  I highly doubt it that would even be good enough for Mary. And I doubt it that he would even be able to find a good steady job with the demanding way that Mary is.

Oh and it's no secret that Mary and Brandan have been spilling the beans online that Sharp basically will not be calling them back to film any future series.

I assume it’s because Mary is perceived by the audience as too controlling.  But to me it’s not malicious, it comes from a place of deep insecurity.  I don’t think Brandan should tolerate it, but she’s not a villain in my eyes.
