LadyChaos September 30, 2022 Share September 30, 2022 As Halloween descends on Sin City, the CSIs investigate when a creepy mannequin prop inside a popular haunted house turns out to be a real dead body. Also, Catherine enlists the help of Folsom to search for her friend who disappeared. Link to comment
milkyaqua October 7, 2022 Share October 7, 2022 I fell asleep through most of this. Please show, don't give Allie a stalker; she's annoying enough as is. Catherine's storyline still seems interesting. 4 Link to comment
Bookworm13 October 7, 2022 Share October 7, 2022 I liked this episode much more than last weeks, which I finally had a chance to watch. Ali and Josh are much more tolerable when working different cases, although I wouldn’t be sad if she went back to New York(?). She was an obnoxious brat for a majority of the show. And it was super clear to me that this wouldn’t be all we saw of Gene, even before the creepy music played as he was entering the elevator. Catherine and Grace are going to keep me watching, though I wish we could get a bit more backstory on their history to see why Catherine cares so much about her. Had they shown flashbacks of them working together, it’d make it easier to see why she’s trying to figure out what happened and why. I wish they could’ve brought Super Dave back instead of introducing 2 new characters. 3 1 Link to comment
Grizzly October 7, 2022 Share October 7, 2022 Allie needs to rein in her emotions. The FBI must not of had a class on why you can arrest a person. Making a doll that kind of looks like you, not a crime. How cold was the victim's fiancé? Just keep sleeping with the guy who did it. I like Folsom when Allie isn't around. I hope he can help Catherine gain some peace. 1 Link to comment

They mentioned in the previous episode that Catherine sees herself in Grace. I think that's why she cares so much. I'm a bit confused about the whole casino ownership thing. If Catherine's father was considered the owner doesn't that mean that he owned the majority of it? If he left her part of it, why wouldn't he leave her all of what he owned? But if he did and it was a majority, would it really be possible to keep her off the property? (Even if it's not the majority, she still owns part of the property, so a part is hers. How can they deny her entry to something that's hers?) 1 1 Link to comment
metaphor October 7, 2022 Share October 7, 2022 Really enjoyed the Catherine/Folsom dynamic in this episode and hope to see more of it as the case unfolds. 5 2 Link to comment
LadyChaos October 8, 2022 Author Share October 8, 2022 It was funny when Max said everyone was allowed one....and I thought: What? Per Season? Cause clearly she didn't learn a thing in Long Pig. 1 1 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy October 8, 2022 Share October 8, 2022 Allie was super annoying and emotional this week. She was so rude and condescending to Beau re a possible mistake, unnecessarily raising her voice etc. I don’t want Gene Farrow to return. Yes, he is creepy but he isn’t interesting enuf to be a stalker. Plus, we don’t need more screen times for annoying Allie. Ugh. I like Josh and hope he’ll continue working with Catherine on Grace/Eclipse case. And please don’t turn the main players of Eclipse into some sort of supervillain, so cliché. 2 Link to comment
emma675 October 8, 2022 Share October 8, 2022 Ugh, Allie was the worst this episode. Yelling at Beau, freaking out and having Gene arrested, shouting and stressing out so much over everything. Calm tf down, girl. I like Josh when he's with Catherine or Max, but not around the two women they want him to be in a romantic triangle with. I like that he's got an interesting past that we see bits and pieces of (the tow truck friend) and he jumps all in with off the book cases. But his love life is not something I'm interested in (same as I was with OG CSI characters back in the day). Did anyone else notice they played that weird tinkly piano music on the last shot of Gene that they used with the miniature killer storyline on original CSI? 1 1 Link to comment
Poohpoohpooh October 8, 2022 Share October 8, 2022 I'm really blown away by the fancy camera shots/effects this season. Maybe in s1 too? Can't recall. I mainly watch NCIS for Gary Cole, which has basic and forgettable camera work. Folsom is gorgeous (a la Nick Stokes in the og series but in a different way). Looks like an older Tom Holland in the mouth area. Likable character too, I didn't pay attention to him in s1 but wow. Surprised he's not getting more buzz on social media, but network shows don't get the same viewership anymore, and I get the sense CSIV isn't at the top of CBS' ratings and promotion. Cath's case is way more interesting than s1's Anson Wix/ Hodges framing imo. They're making Allie short-fused and snappy like early Sara Sidle and well, Sara became a fan favorite. I'm neutral on the Sara and Allie explosive type of characters. Imo, the most memorable actors were CSI rookie Beau and Gene (Jeff Bezos stalker). 1 Link to comment
threebluestars October 8, 2022 Share October 8, 2022 I'm surprised Catherine hasn't mentioned her daughter Lindsay, who was a level one CSI the last time we saw her. That ball got dropped. Allie is the character I have the most trouble with. I just find her so annoying. I enjoyed the sibling morgue duo (LOVED that they are siblings especially). Folson and Catherine are a great team, and I think her and Maxine are solid too. 2 1 Link to comment
Protege October 8, 2022 Share October 8, 2022 Just saw the second episode, out of curiousity, and I tend to agree. I like beau, not too fond of allie, folsoms okay, but I’m not sure how I feel about max. She’s too soft spoken, and kind of meh. Also, I’m not sure why there should be a brother/ sister team of coroners. Link to comment
Msample October 9, 2022 Share October 9, 2022 The Catherine storyline is interesting, but the writers have turned her from a steely experienced CSI into a borderline hysteric. Link to comment
edhopper October 9, 2022 Share October 9, 2022 (edited) So Gene was into monsters and creepy things, has Ali never heard of ComicCon. There are millions of fans who like that stuff.. And no one told her she was deciding Gene was guilty without evidence? And her demand he was arrested because of the doll should have been pushed back. They were going after the wrong guy and only got lucky because of the dumb mistake with the sneakers. Catherine's story is more interesting. Edited October 9, 2022 by edhopper 1 Link to comment
LadyChaos October 9, 2022 Author Share October 9, 2022 I honestly think this show would have a much better chance at succeeding....if they replaced Ali with someone else....or really, just gave more screen time to Chris. 5 Link to comment
Msample October 10, 2022 Share October 10, 2022 Ali makes Finn from the later seasons of OG CSI almost tolerable…. 1 Link to comment
LisaM October 10, 2022 Share October 10, 2022 I liked seeing Sherri Saum from The Fosters as Catherine's ally at the hotel. 2 1 Link to comment
