edhopper January 7, 2022 Share January 7, 2022 At least they didn't drag out the obvious, that Wheatley was behind it all. Surprised the hackers didn't figure out that his suggestion let in the ransomware. 6 Link to comment
Xeliou66 January 7, 2022 Share January 7, 2022 I’m just so sick of the Wheatley shit that I didn’t really care for the episode - just kill off Wheatley already. The episode had some interesting parts but also a lot of techno-babble. The stuff with the corrupt Congressman and Nova is kind of interesting. 6 Link to comment
TV Diva Queen January 7, 2022 Share January 7, 2022 First OC I didn't care for. Is there anything that Wheatly isn't involved in, its getting ridiculous at the point. Too much going on in this episode to keep my attention. Wonder if Stabler had a feeling Wheatley ex was faking it and that's why he hit the water glass like that. Random thoughts for a random episode. 7 Link to comment

Yes, I was pretty sure that's what he was doing. He was watching her with the sugar - I think he may have suspected her of faking it either all along or since she basically trashed the trial. I think he was warning her about Wheatley from a position of at least strongly suspecting she's done what she's done because she's still working with him. His tone with the "miracle" comment was that he was not surprised at all. This wasn't my favorite episode, but I did like that it highlighted Elliot being smart - catching Angela and subtly letting her know that he knows what she's doing, and not completely losing his shit with Wheatley. 11 Link to comment
kicotan January 7, 2022 Share January 7, 2022 I wish Stabler and Wheatley would get a ROOM already. 12 Link to comment
milkyaqua January 7, 2022 Share January 7, 2022 (edited) Agree, I was more interested in the stuff going on with the senator and Nova. Though the whole corrupt politician taking bribes and then telling the construction exactly how he wanted them to fleece the government to line his and their pockets some more was beyond eye roll inducing. Like, let's not even be subtle about it. As for the Wheatley stuff, I'm over the whole family but I am sort of interested in it from the perspective of the hacker and like Jet being more involved with that. I get Richard wanting to bring Elliot and the task force down. Angela's angle I'm still not sure of other than she's scared of Richard or blames Stabler for Richard's attempt on her life? And yes, Stabler knows she's faking it. I'm pretty sure he and maybe even Bell suspect something's not right there. The only really good thing about this epi was the lack of Olivia and any Stabler family drama... Based on some other blog comments, this show is going to lose any good will it had when it started if they keep dragging out the Wheatley storyline and the ratings for this epi seem to be bearing that out. tennisgurl January 7, 2022 Share January 7, 2022 (edited) Here I was all interested in this hacker story, but then it turned out to all be a plot with supervillain Wheatley, who really just needs to invest in some sharks with laser beams and be done with it, that's how much of a ridiculous Bond villain he is. Except while Bond villain types can be fun in a hammy way, Wheatley is just annoying and he doesn't fit into this show that is trying to be grounded in reality. The only things I liked were when when Stabler was subtly letting Angela know that he knows she is still in with Wheatley, and then the two of them bantering at their evil dinner, their chemistry is absolutely the best part of Wheatley. I do like the hacking stuff, I am glad that its giving Jet some time to shine and I like the other hacker she brought in, who will also probably end up being her love interest. There was also a lack of Stabler family drama and no Olivia in sight, which I was very happy about. Just let this show be this show, we don't need constant tie in's with SVU. LOL, so true. Can we somehow convince Dylan and Tamara to do another project together? Their chemistry is SO GOOD. Even just exchanging a couple of lines. 2 Link to comment

At least there wasn't any Olivia/SVU presence to serve as a distraction. Edited January 7, 2022 by AD35 5 Link to comment
853fisher January 9, 2022 Share January 9, 2022 I wonder why the show used New Hampshire's seal, photoshopped to read "New York." I feel like we've seen New York's before many times on L&O shows, haven't we? (No, I'm not fabulously knowledgeable about state seals, my family is from New Hampshire. Yes, you may draw inferences about my level of engagement in the rest of the episode from my focus on this point.) 1 1 Link to comment

Zaffy January 12, 2022 Share January 12, 2022 You all know how the Wheatley saga will end, right? Olivia will shoot him down while screaming "HE IS MINE!" 3 Link to comment

It's even stranger as this week's episode has the actual NYS flag on the stage with the same fake seal on the podium in front of the governor. Maybe some sort of legal concern? Or maybe they figured that since they were basically putting Andrew Cuomo on screen and photoshopping out his name they might as well keep it up everywhere? Link to comment
