I like Leva. I think she’s getting far too much hate for trying to knock some sense into this cast, specifically Kathryn. Leva isn’t tedious; Kathryn is, and therefore the storyline is. As an immigrant with a mixed race family in the Deep South, she adds much needed perspective to this menagerie of miscreants. I want more of her and far less of Kathryn.

Wow...that’s A LOT to digest. Not from Leva’s story, but from TT’s delivery; I refuse to even visit her page because of what a racist psycho bitch she is.
A white person lecturing a POC on how he/she should feel about civil rights and American citizenship is *not* the look. Lest we forget she’s also a T-Rav supporter, of course.

Leva must have been cast specifically to deal with Kathryn’s racist postings - beyond that, she’s not a good fit for this group. She seems to consider herself more mature than “the boys” (why is that diminutive okay?), smarter than the other women - and the one to whom everyone must listen or be bullied into next week.

To be fair Leva's son "Little" is more mature than the guys and smarter than a few of the women.....

I like Leva, as well.   I liked Vanderpump too, except not on Vanderpump Rules.  Hopefully, any new show and cast would be better than VR.

I’m actually really hopeful this show will be a far more fun, Southern-spin on the original VR formula, especially since VR has effectively jumped the shark and none of the original cast members even work at SUR anymore.

We need a new spin on that concept, although I somehow doubt they’ll ever find that ‘lightening in a bottle’ chaotic energy and train wreck appeal that the original VR cast shamelessly displayed. This cast likely grew up on that hot mess and studied all their mannerisms and storylines. And I’m sure wannabe actors/models in West Hollywood have a completely different, more instantly charismatic vibe overall than aimless Southern fuck boys and party girls biding their time in the service industry until they meet their future first spouses and join the local Junior League chapters.

Plus, LVP > Leva Bonaparte—Lisa brings her saucy little British one-liners, cute doggies, and wealth porn. Leva brings…a lot of self-righteousness and questionably authentic Chanel bags.

Enh, it kinda sounds like a Vanderpump Rules show (which I do not like) so I'll probably give this a pass.  If the reviews are fantastic and everyone loves it I might watch it then but I wont hold my breath.

If she has so many successful restaurants, why is she fucking with reality TV?

Did VPR vastly increase the net worth of what's her name or something?

So she's going to let them film at her restaurant, must think there's a potential for lot more money if she's willing to risk disrupting operations, unless most of it is filmed in the back rooms and kitchens and the cast have very little interaction with restaurant clientele.

I don't have a real strong opinion on Leva but if she beefs with that douche Craig, her impulses are probably right.

However, there seems to be a lot of pretty vehement hate for her.  I would hope it's not related to those season 7 episodes where she challenged Kathryn for the monkey emoji and in the wake of the George Floyd protests and the taking down of Confederate monuments.

With how little Leva was featured this season I am wondering if the spinoff will make it to air. I don't know what is in anyone else's heart but for me Leva seemed to approach SC like Yolanda or OC Heather approached RH - she was going to be a teacher and play some sort of leadership role. I just find it irritating when people join these shows then pretend to be appalled at behavior that's been airing on television for years and they are somehow above it.

I do agree re Leva's impulses. I get the impression Leva works hard and I think that is the crux of what we saw during the finale. Craig doesn't have the focus or expertise to run that business and I'm sure it cheeses everyones onions that he speaks like this is the result of years of hard work. I also don't find it a stretch that Craig might resent Leva getting her own show and isn't keeping it a secret.

From the 10 minutes I've watched of VPR, almost none of it is filmed on site while customers are present. A lot of filming at "meetings", in staff only spaces, and at closed door events at the restaurant. And considering how much of SC is filmed at local restaurants, I'm not sure it will be a huge disruption. As a matter of fact, she's filming at her places LESS now that she's on the show. Wasn't Republic one of the go-to party spots in the first three seasons?

Why was she given a show after one season on Southern Charm? I guess the crew of Vanderpump Rules is older, doesn't work at the restaurant/bar, they are like housewives/househusbands now, and boring. That's a successful recipe to follow, only this, judging from the previews is not interesting. And Leva is not that likeable.
