Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Lands Netflix Release Date — Plus, See First Photos

Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 (10 Episodes) arrives in two parts.

Part 1 : Thursday, July 6, 2023

Part 2 : Thursday, August 3, 2023 

The second season will tackle the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series titled "The Fifth Witness". Lots of nice Photos in the article.

I'm relieved Neve is not coming back for Season 3.  I loved Maggie in the movie and liked her from what I remember in the books, but I haven't really been invested in the character in this series.

Someone like Neve is likely going to want to have a storyline every season, but this series has the seasons structured around Mickey's law office and cases.  So unless Maggie were to go up against Mickey in every case, it'd be hard to come up with enough stories to keep the actress satisfied and justify her role.  Bosch's structure of simultaneous cases in a season would've made it easier, but that's not really how this series is structured.

They might have had more luck to make the character recurring and hired someone not so high profile.

Things I wish:

  • They could figure out a way to have him go back to being the LINCOLN lawyer, not another lawyer working out of an expensive office in LA.
  • They could keep all of the existing characters.  Lorna and her hubby used to work out of their condo and contact Mickey by phone.  Of course he'd get to keep his driver.
  • They would get rid of the obnoxious tight-skirted attorney from last season.
  • Mickey should shave.

‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Renewed For Season 4 By Netflix With Neve Campbell Back Full-Time

They will start production on the 10 episode Season 4, which is based on the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Law of Innocence, next month. Neve Campbell will return full time as Maggie McPherson. The series is filmed in Los Angeles.

Glad it will be back for Season 4. No idea if I will still be subscribed to Netflix when it comes out as I only get it as a perk of my T-Mobile phone line and if Netflix keeps raising the price, I wouldn't be surprised if they eliminate it as a benefit. But luckily Netflix dumps all the episodes at once so I may subscribe for just one month if needed to watch. 

Not happy that Maggie will be back though. I do not like her character as Neve Campbell plays her and I don't like her and Mickey as a couple.
