Chaos Theory December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 Debbie could probably make a good living as a lesbian call girl. She cleans up nicely. She can act upscale when she needs to. And she can have a nice conversation. 2 Link to comment
preeya December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 My "give me a fucking break moment." The OITNB babe, who drive a Rolls Royce and obviously has $$$ walks into The Alibi and immediately hooks up with smelly/dirty Frank Gallagher. As I said, give me a fuckin' break. 7 Link to comment
arachne December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 Is anyone else as sick as I am (I mean borderline physically sick) of all the poop gags this season? I lived in an RV for over two years, and the septic problem never got as bad as that. Happy to see Carl making a difference. Could this be an ongoing thing? I hope Ian/Mickey's parole officer is being set up for a fall. Maybe not fall as in six-feet-under, but she's gotta go. 2 Link to comment

I never liked Rachel Dratch, even when she was on SNL. 4 Link to comment
Chaos Theory December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 I know people like to hate watch this show or simply hate it but I found this episode kinda interesting. Somewhat. I have zero interest in Lip and what her face. Liam was kinda hilarious when the girl came on to him and he tried to ask for help from Frank. That is exactly the kind of advice Frank would give to a scared kid who maybe just wanted to get out of there. i kinda like the idea that Kev and Veronica desperate for new people trolled AA meetings but when people started to walk into the bar suddenly regretted what they did. Carl the former bully is using his power for good not evil. But how long will that last? i also kinda like the idea that Debbie stumbles her way into high class lesbian escort service. I honestly think it might suit her. I would love to see the show dabble on it for a few episodes at least. Ian and Mickey be the parole officer was fun. 2 Link to comment
iMonrey December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 So they spent six whole episodes on this arc with Anne and her family just to sweep them under the rug with a throwaway line about Anne having moved away? Okay then. I've come to the conclusion that Christian Isaiah (Liam) isn't a very good actor, unfortunately. I mean, he's not awful or anything but neither is he very compelling. I think they could have found someone who was a little better than this. The whole thing with the RV's septic tank was just disgusting. And the Kev and Vee antics have sunk the same tedious level of Frank's. The writers are just going through the motions. I'm most interested in what will happen with Mickey and Ian. Those two are the only characters keeping me watching at this point. They really need to find a way to take down Paula that doesn't land them back in jail. 4 Link to comment
LibertarianSlut December 23, 2019 Share December 23, 2019 I am with the majority that I don't care about Lip, Fred and Tammi. I wish Tammi would have gone home with her father. I just need to point one thing out--what the fuck kind of sentimental This Is Us strumming music were they playing when the camera panned away from Lip and Tammi lying happily in the RV? Now I've seen (well, I guess, heard) just about everything. Now I'll make my points where I'm in the minority-- Deb--when older gentlemen go to a place to fuck hot, young girls, they do not talk about their children, never mind their grandchildren (don't ask me how I know, but I know). They know exactly what they're doing, and they talk all about the woman, making her feel like she is the most special person in the world. In the greater scheme of things, I don't see what's so unappealing about fucking an old man. I think it would have been better if Deb had fucked the old man, and then met the older woman at the bar. Also, show, there is no fucking way that Debbie was going to wait for Pepa to give her the death benefit until after the visit with "Frannie." Last episode, when Deb dropped "Frannie" off, Pepa said something about owing her a check. I thought she was going to give it to Debbie right then and there. Debbie is way too streetsmart to wait, so that rang false to me. Liam--once again, show, you remember that Liam has had sex before, right? Frank--I liked it, because the actress was perfect. I actually believed that was a mysterious woman, not an actress, and I coudln't wait to see what she would do/say next. Kev/Vee--I liked it, because it pushed the envelope. Going to an AA meeting to try to get your profits up after an old man died on your barstool was funny. It was also funny that Vee chose to talk about a sea breeze, invested of vodka/tequila on the rocks or something. Since when do alcoholics order sea breezes? That alone is a funny image. Ian/Mickey--I'm getting really tired of the parole officer too. It's too much. The show would have done much better if they'd approached it subtly, like every so often a creeepy parole officer gives them some illegal assignment that they have to carry out. Throwing someone out of a three-story window like it's nothing? I'd sooner report the behavior and have Ian corroborate than take the chance the guy is going to break his neck and I'll be back in jail for life. Carl--I dunno. The first part seemed too serious and heavy; the second part where Kelly was pretending to be robbed (I think the rich friend though it was real) was alright, but it's highly unusual for a Gallagher to do something altruistic, so I wish the show would have given Carl a selfish reason for wanting the streetlights on. I am a fan of the old Seinfled credo--"no hugging, no growing." If Carl is going to become a Good Samaritan, I would prefer he do it off camera. Was this supposed to parody Jussie Smollett, or am I reading too deeply? I'd be obliged if we didn't have to see any more of those foster children. There are already enough children on the show. I just saw the actress who plays Debbie on Boardwalk Empire, circa 2011, and she was a cute little girl. Now...she is quite an unattractive woman in face and the body ain't anything to write home about either. I don't see an older wealthy lesbian paying Deb what looked close to $1,000 for sex. 1 Link to comment

Debbie did ask for a check when she dropped Frannie off ($500 - as that is the amount Lip mentions he received as a loan from her for the RV payment). When the visit goes bad - Pepa pays Debbie the balance. 1 1 Link to comment

It was with a bigger/older girl when he was moved to the public school, if memory serves. My ipad is acting up, so I can't put in a direct link, but you can google it. It's a Chicago Tribune article entitled "Why Is No One Worried That Pre-Teen Liam Just Had Sex?" It's dated 10/7/18. The article is so weird! They are woke-scolding all over the place, frantic that no one is even paying to the fact that he isn't even old enough to consent (emphasis theirs). I am worried for the Chicago Tribune because they can't even tell fact from fiction (emphasis mine). Edited December 23, 2019 by LibertarianSlut Links not working Link to comment

Maybe she's on the cartels hit list and Mickey can set her up so he can even things up with them. Am I the only one who adores them acting like a real partnership? If the show has any sense, the finale will have them getting married. Going a bit off topic, but Cameron's had a great year. He got rave reviews for his performance in Gotham, his Star Wars game is a hit and he's back on this show. 3 Link to comment

link417 December 25, 2019 Share December 25, 2019 The Vee/Kevin storyline had me cringing and laughing, it was perfect. I love Emma Kenney, I think she’s a great actor and very pretty, so I’m enjoying her stories the most. I much prefer the accidental-high-end-escort storyline to the high-end-retail-fraud storyline from the start of the season. I’m glad Ian and Mickey are going to do something about Paula (I am also not a fan of Rachel Dratch), I can’t wait to see what they come up with and I hope it’s successful. 4 Link to comment
aemom December 26, 2019 Share December 26, 2019 They tend to get legal stuff wrong on this show (the whole Debbie/Peppa/Franny business), but you can add medical as well: I feel pretty confident that the sex-green-light-six-weeks-postpartum-business does not apply to a woman who almost died of a hemorrhage and spent many days in the hospital after giving birth. God forbid, somebody actually see a real doctor, but it's a doctor who actually gives you that go ahead. It's not a "given." I will say that I knew that couple were going to steal the baby, and that I liked how Frank and Liam actually spent some fun time together doing something harmless. It's a rare moment on this show. Frank was also rather sweet with the baby, another pleasant surprise. 2 Link to comment
