I was thinking the same thing. Either that or she's on something besides alcohol. When she was on top of Lisa declaring her undying love, it was not funny. It was unnerving. I could see the distress on Lisa's face. I would stay far away from Dorit. She strikes me as someone who is volatile and controlling.

I agree. Actually, I thought all the women looked good without makeup. They certainly looked better than I do first thing in the morning! I also saw a few brief clips in which Lauren did seem to have a personality. I suspect they are heavily editing her to make her seem mysterious. I am unspoiled so this is just my opinion: I think Becca is the one Arie thinks he should pick but Lauren is the one he really "loves." He doesn't seem as giddy around Becca as he does Lauren. Kendall as just filler as they needed three women. It was obvious she wasn't that into Arie and vice versa.

Season 10: First Looks

Oops, never mind. -
ITA! I never watch it live. I tape it and watch it the next morning so I can fast-forward through all the commercials and filler.

S08.E11: Thank You, Thuck You!
Sweet-tea replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I think she wears wigs at least part of the time. There have been scenes in which her hair looked quite wig-like to me. She probably has 20 versions of the same wig. I never thought about it until Brandi made those comments about Lisa wearing wigs. Now I look for signs every time I see her (when I'm not too distracted by her freakish lips). Sometimes it is easy to spot and other times it's not. Maybe she just wears them when she's having a bad hair day? -

ITA. I don't think any of the three look like models, especiallly Mason. She didn't seem excited either. -
It didn't sound like Leann to me, but who knows? I prefer Trisha Yearwood's version

I think she's cute. She has pretty eyes and a lovely smile.

S08.E10: The Big Apple Bites

Kyle seemed drunk to me, which is probably why she was so emotional. She kept repeating herself, another sign. It's pretty clear she thinks Lisa doesn't treat her well, so why does she continue to hang out with her? Her neediness is off-putting. It reminds me of grade school when I had two good friends and we were always competing with each other. Someone was always on the outs. Kyle is codependent and focused on getting Lisa's approval. The friendship is unbalanced and about 70/30 Lisa/Kyle. Lisa knows it and wants to keep it that way, because she holds the power. Kyle left Kim take advantage of her and is repeating the pattern with Lisa. I laughed when Rinna said she usually doesn't have any cocktails. Uh... hello? She knocks them back with the rest of them and she was drunk on the couch. Did anyone else catch how she slithered back into her seat after she got back from the restaurant? I don't like Dorit but thought she looked good in her TH with the understated eye make-up and red lipstick. -
I agree. I could see her on BIP but not as the Bachelorette. And I think her family scared Arie. I did not believe him when he said he could see himself with any of them. I read an article recently in which Chris Harrison said one of the seasons had to be heavily edited because it was obvious from the very start who was the lead's favorite. I can't remember which one though.

I'm trying to figure out what it is that makes Arie come across as old. Brad and Byron were his age or older, and they didn't seem old. Is it just the sweaters? His milky eyes and lack of expression? He freaked me out comforting Bekka. I was waiting for him to burp her. I don't think he's that attracted to Becca. I'm getting more of a friend feel, especially because he mentioned wanting to make sure there was a physical attraction. It's hard to tell because he kisses everyone, but he just doesn't seem as into her to me.

I think she is a similar type, but Emily was prettier and full of southern charm. I don't see that in Lauren. As for her hot body, it's nothing special to this show. All the women are slim and have nice bodies. Kendall looked really good in that short skirt and midriff top. She is fit.

S08.E08: Petty Mess
Sweet-tea replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Agree! This is the most boring season I've seen. Nothing is happening, so they are trying to make something out of nothing. I think they edited out too much of the incident between Kyle and Lisa. Either that or Lisa is more melodramatic than I thought. What I heard Rinna's youngest daughter saying was, "I know you want me to be a model so you can compete with Yolanda and live vicariously through me, but it's not what I want." I wonder if Rinna will get the message. -
She seemed less attractive as the show went on, and not just because of her personality. Her hair was mussed and her face was shiny and puffy. She seemed to be drinking quite a bit, so maybe she just didn't care?
-
I thought she was condescending too, but I dislike Krystal so much that I didn't mind. Kendall is very pretty. Lauren was boring but Arie seemed really into her. Maybe their conversation was heavily edited, because I was surprised she got a rose. I think Arie likes the thrill of the chase. Emily was also kind of detached in the beginning. I only remember Jenna for her overly dark and extremely arched brows. Distracting.

Those girls were creepy. The way one of them was talking to the police.... she was almost nonchalant about the whole thing. No remorse. Sounded like a sociopath. She seemed as crazy as the schizophrenic girl to me. Whenever they get out, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near either of them.

I noticed that too. It ruined it for me. I think the producers made him give Krystal a rose. He doesn't seem into her. I really like how he handled the conversation in her room. I like Tia but don't think it's going to work out if her faith is important to her and he has none. She may not be worried about it now, but it could be a concern later. I read the comments about Tia's nose so I was really looking in this episode. I think she looks good from the front, ok from one side, and not very good from the other. She is still lovely though. Pretty smile.

Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
Sweet-tea replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I think she looks like a guy in drag in that photo. I don't mind the long hair (although it looks fake) but can't get past the ridiculous lips and caked-on makeup. Also don't believe she made them bigger for Harry. I think she did it for herself, and it was a bad decision. She looks so much better in the photos with normal-looking lips. Why she would want to be known for a freakish-looking feature is beyond me. Her daughters look like they have filler in their lips too. Hopefully they won't overdo it like their mom. -
S08.E06: Wham, Glam, Thank You Ma'am
Sweet-tea replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Yep, I remember this. I initially liked Harry Hamlin the best, but later I also liked Jimmy Smits. Blair Underwood didn't do anything for me. -
I cringed through the whole exchange, and then she went back! Yikes. It was painfully obvious he was not into her. I wonder if a producer made her go back. BTW, she looked a little like Emily Blunt to me. Arie should have just given her a quick peck instead of embarrassing her. Did he really kiss all the other women? Gosh, how humiliating for Annalise. I thought Krystal was cute on the first show. Now I can't stand her.

I remember an old movie in which William Devane played Kennedy. He was a lot better than Michael C. Hall, who came across as a jerk. Devane conveyed Kennedy's charisma IMO. Carolina Girl was ahead of me. I wasn't impressed with the actress playing Jackie either. She seemed too slight and delicate-looking. Perhaps they cast her for the vulnerability she conveyed in some of her scenes with Elizabeth. IDK but I didn't buy it. Although certainly stylish, I've always thought Jackie's looks were overrated.

I am in recovery and know many people who have been to treatment. In most of the cases, their insurance did cover it. I didn't go to treatment but I checked into it. My insurance would've paid for a standard 28-day inpatient program at a really nice facility in Texas. It looked like a high-end spa. If you stay longer than 28 days, the percentage of insurance coverage declines and then eventually it stops. I've watched many of my recovery friends die from the ravages of alcoholism, and others from drug overdoses or suicide. As is commonly said, this stuff will kill you.

I was shocked and would've preferred not to hear that. The daughters seem to treat Rinna like a peer instead of a mother, but perhaps I'm old school. I didn't like Rinna's hand gesture either. Her cackling gets on my nerves. I agree that they don't look like models. They are pretty girls but kind of vanilla. I haven't seen enough photos of them to tell if they photograph well though. Maybe I am missing something. As Jel said, I wonder if there was more to the exchange between Doris and Camille that was left on the cutting room floor. It could've been edited to make it more dramatic.

I initially liked Krystal and thought Arie was drawn to her because she reminded him of Emily. She has a similar super feminine quality. But I agree with others who said she blew it when she approached Arie a second time. I could tell by his body language he was put off. IMO what made Emily so attractive was she was a throw back to the era of courtship. Brad singled her out from the start, and she was all humble and sweet but somewhat removed. She made him work for her. Krystal played her hand too aggressively. (She also came off totally fake with Arie's parents.) Bekka seems smug to me. I don't like her. Arie is obviously attracted to her, but it's hard to tell if it means anything because he appears attracted to many of them. What was it that made his against the wall kisses with Emily so sexy vs. the kind of gross spit swapping with all these woman? Maybe he's just giving out the kisses too freely. He's lost his mystique.

I couldn't believe what I was watching. I never saw the story on Dr. Phil, because I don't like him. It sounds like he's shouting at people IMO. Agree that the the mother was an abusive nut case. I still don't understand how Gypsy could actually have surgery more than once when there was nothing wrong with her. How does that happen? Even if the mother was conning the doctors, aren't they going to figure out when they examine her, take x-rays, upper GI, whatever, that there is nothing wrong? Gypsy was eerily composed in the interview. I don't see how she could have gone through this without being left with some serious mental baggage. The interview was strange because it almost sounded like she was talking about someone other than herself. Also, who wrote "The bitch is dead" on FB. Wasn't that Gypsy? If so, it shows the hostility she had to her mother that she soft pedaled during the interview. How did the mother get all the medical equipment and medications? Doesn't a feeding tube require some upkeep? It's just astounding that she got away with it for so long.
