  1. I think her AA program is really helping her too. I recognize it in a lot of the things she says. Good point. Rachel has disappeared, although maybe she has been approached and is refusing offers? Who knows. This reminded me that James isn't drinking alcohol but is hardly sober. He has said he's smoking weed throughout the day. In AA, they call this "marijuana maintenance" and it's frowned upon by many.
  2. He is so unlikable now that I'm having a hard time remembering if he was more tolerable in the earlier seasons. He does strike me as a straight up narcissist. I don't believe he and Raquel were "in love" despite what he says. Sounds more like a fling. Not buying that Jo is just a friend to Schwartz. Do any of them even work at Sur anymore? We don't see that part of the show any longer. I kind of miss it. How can they sustain this show without it? The cast working at the restaurant was what it was based on.
  3. Agree. I can't get into this season so far. I'm mostly bored. It's all about Adriana and her anger and bitterness, which isn't fun to watch. The rest of the cast don't have much to do. I'm not sure I'll even make it through the whole season. I was glad to see James get Graham back. That was a great surprise.
  4. Definitely more than friends. None of my girlfriends touch me like that.
  5. She says that but I believe she caught Mauricio cheating, thus her comment about how he broke her trust. Maybe it wasn’t one thing but the final straw. I think it was horrible of Kyle and Mauricio to have that talk with their children on camera, especially Portia.
  6. I like her dressed down too but think she was more striking as a blonde.
  7. The age difference between them is only a few years, but they are far apart on their timeline. As soon as Joey told Lexi he wanted a long engagement, I knew they were done. Also he hugged her but didn’t kiss her, and he’s been kissing everyone. Interesting how they spun it that Lexi broke up with him, if you can even use that term on a show like this. Editing fairies. I think it was more Joey just wasn’t that into her. I like Joey with Kelsey A. and Maria. Daisy is a little dull to me, although he seems to really like her. So glad he got rid of Jess and the horrible Lea.
  8. I think Alexia is harsh looking and didn’t like her red lipstick, but I loved her white dress. I also liked Nicole’s dress. I could hardly make out Ariana’s singing. It sounded like white noise. Perhaps that’s why she got such good reviews? Larsa is horrible. I wonder what Marcus sees in her. He seems like a decent guy. Is there something we are missing? And no matter how she tries to spin it, I think it’s clear Michael Jordan is not happy about their relationship.
  9. There was an old rumor that he was the one who actually wrote TKAM or a good portion of it. I wonder if Truman started it. Here is an article about the rumor that says it was not true. Letter Puts End to Persistent 'Mockingbird' Rumor : NPR
  10. I didn't like it either and thought this episode dragged. I had trouble staying focused on it.
  11. I know Kyle is full of herself, but I was surprised she put her daughters on TV for that talk, especially Portia. It made me uncomfortable. So wrong. I only watched off and on and missed Kyle's jabs at LVP. What did she say? Me too.
  12. This was my understanding too from reading her book. The Capote Tapes is interesting because it shows a lot of footage of him. When he was young, he was slight, blonde and delicate looking, kind of pretty. He didn't age well though. You can see the decline in the later clips of him. The documentary also goes into his relationship with the swans, and especially Babe. Kate Harrington confirms that he liked Babe the best and was very upset over the end of the friendship. And the ball he threw was a super big deal.
  13. I’m watching the Truman Capote Tapes on Hulu. Kate is on it and said this did happen. They showed one of her early modeling photos. Watching the real footage of Capote makes me even more impressed with Tom Hollander’s performance. He has captured Capote’s voice, mannerisms and essence. I liked this episode but found it sad. The beginning scene of Babe going through the rigor of glamming up and then undoing it for the radiation really got to me, as did the dance scene of Babe and Bill. The song was perfect. I didn’t see Slim’s affair with Bill coming.
  14. I can't tell who he likes because it seems like he's kissing all of them! I think Maria is very attractive, has a great body and is sexy. Jess isn't cute at all to me.
  15. I've been wondering why Mo's show is taking so long to air another season. I'll bet they are waiting for BH to end.
  16. PK seems over Dorit. He can't be out of town enough. It does seem like her cryptic THs are implying that he cheated. I'm becoming annoyed with the whole thing. Either talk about what is really happening or ignore it. This middle of the road thing is irritating. I can't believe a woman who has bragged about how she shops every freaking day is still trying to play the victim! I was cheering Garcelle! Finally we have one person who isn't buying Erika's garbage. The other women pandering to her ticked me off. Did Sutton apologize three times? Stop! Erika hasn't changed a bit. She is the same shallow, cold person she was last season. The only difference is she's acting this season, playing the part of the wronged person in order to get a redemption edit. She is not playing it well as we can see right through her shenanigans. I'm so exhausted by Kyle's woe-is-me bit this season that I'm rooting for Mauricio to escape. She's been on the show 13 seasons and during the run has projected the image of a rich Beverly Hills housewife. If she and Mauricio were struggling as a couple, it was before this show.
  17. I don't know. I think they're all trashy. On another one they were talking about swallowing (not food). I think it was Potomac. I fast-forwarded through most of it. Many of them are also obsessed with their private parts. If I had to count every time I've heard "vagina" or "coochie" it would be a high number.
  18. I'm wondering what she thinks is "weak" booze.
  19. Agree. This production is known for stunt casting. It seems like it came out of nowhere to me. I've been watching Scheana on the show for years and never heard her mention OCD. I guess it could've happened recently, but I don't know. She does need a storyline, as do all the cast members. If Adriana has low self-esteem, then she is overcompensating IMO. She comes across as arrogant much of the time.
  20. Jessica Lange's plastic surgery really threw me off in the first scene with Truman when she was goading him into killing himself. I recoiled when I saw her. Yikes!
  21. I loved him in Mad Men and think he's great in this and has gotten even hunkier (made-up word sorry) as he's aged. I do see chemistry between Paul and Alex, but Jennifer Aniston's Botox and/or filler is distracting, especially in close-up. Her face just looks odd to me although I can't pinpoint what it is exactly.
  22. Really! What is she doing there? Playing big sister protector of Kyle? Makes little sense as she and Kyle are at each other's throats most of the time. But I guess it's that family screwed up dynamic at play. Dana Wilkey also confirms Kathy is there in this video starting at 3.46.
  23. First red flag for me with Adriana was her "I'm smarter than her and prettier than her" comment about Kristin. Showed her true colors.
  24. I loved that book and the movie! Enjoyed many of Dunne's books.
  25. I think Diane Lane and Naomi Watts are the best. I like Calista Flockhart in this too. I almost didn't recognize her. They all do the upper crust accent and demeanor very well. But I am not buying Chloe Sevigny in this role. She doesn't lose herself in it as much as the others. Miscasting to me. I love all the period stuff, even the smoking. Agree about the flashbacks though. I wish they would just tell the story from start to finish. It does lose momentum to keep cutting back and forth. Babe's betrayal was so early in the show that it didn't affect me much, because I hadn't seen the progression of her relationship with Truman. Tom Hollander is fantastic. I'm on edge watching him, because I'm never sure when he is going to shift from charming to cruel. I'm on the waiting list at my library to read Capote's Women. Me too. I liked him as an actor. Saw him in a lot of stuff.
