Zoe lives! And she wasn’t named “Hossette”! ETA: I suck at details.
-
Hey, a Clock Tower on a series that probably won’t suck!
-
Rene is a successful mayor?!? Thanks, revamped Earth-Prime!
-
I thought last week was the finale. My bad. Also: “back door pilot” sounds a bit dirty. ”Ain’t no party like a Star City party, cuz a Star City party usually ends in multiple deaths!!!”
-
Wasn’t that Earl’s deal? He was called in last minute AND he had never watched the show. ETA: I meant that was Earl’s deal as well.

Sounds like a great way to find commentators. Imagine going into the woods, being on a manhunt. “I think the Dodgers should get the World Series titles from 2017-2018!” Then five dudes pop out from the bushes, screaming, “OH, FUCK THAT!”

Honest Trailer for “Dance Dance Revolution” is up!

So . . . apparently, inhibiting emotional and/or mental growth makes Coluans change colors. Okay, then. Also, Lex Luthor still loves power, even if he got it by merely scrawling stuff on a page from the Book of Destiny. I'm thinking Kara wishes it were a Death Note instead. Yeah, I think she could be an otaku. Of course, we now have refugees from other universes now. Great, so we're gonna get another Agent Liberty story next season. And Lena still has a mad-on for Kara, which . . . of course she does. Bright side: Crisis of Infinite Five Four Brainiacs was fun, even if we had an old comic trope (the original Brainiac's obsession with shrinking and bottling worlds). Of course, with great stability comes great amorality . . . and a breakup with Nia. I did like the episode . . . I just watched Doctor Who, and with the Monday holiday, I figured I could hit Batwoman and Supergirl off the DVR . . .and then I never got around to posting. Who knows what a merged Earth would mean for Supergirl . . . maybe Cat Grant is at the head of Leviathan. Who knows?

S03.E10: The Book of Markovia: Chapter One: Blessings and Curses Reborn
Lantern7 replied to Trini's topic in Black Lightning
"Are you there, Gambi? I went . . . away for a bit. Superman is real!" "I hear you, Jeff, and I know Superman is real. My problem is why the hell he hasn't done shit for us here. You think I want to be in secret agent mode all the time?!? I actually want to sell high-end clothing at reasonable prices!" Welcome back to Freeland . . . and aside from the concern for Jefferson that his version of things doesn't line up with Earth-Prime, things are still the same. Freeland is the place where hope gets bludgeoned and stripped on a regular basis. I'm thinking the only change now is that Odell reports to Lex Luthor. I hope not, because Odell is too big of a bastard on his own. Same with Tobias. Can you imagine him swapping notes with Lex or any of the other assholes running around Earth-Prime? Nah, he'd be too busy laughing his ass off at the people dressed like Black Lightning. Basically, Freeland is still fucked, we don't even see Markovians this week, and Lynn is in full-on Afterschool Special addict mode. At least some pd kids were rescued, though they're probably sick of being herded from place to place by different people. -
Miles will be one of Death Battle's first combatants for 2020.

Good return episode. Dunno what was more ticklish . . . a unformed officer named "Slam," or a hacker basically set up a GoFundMe by threatening to spill secrets. Actually, those are both topped by Alice and Mouse chilling out at Catherine's grave, holding a small tea party. Only her, right? Watching her angrily chomp on a biscuit after Mouse told her off was icing on the cake. The issue of sexual identity felt like it was applied too much, but it was still well-done. More awkward: Kate "outting" Batwoman via Kara. That's more about me preferring the "Bat Family should be low-profile" status quo. Look at that magazine cover . . . just awkward as all hell. Kara getting the "scoop"? Doesn't bug me as much. I'm hoping we get a "World's Finest" at least once per season with those two. Beth . . . Crisis "orphan" or something else? I'm thinking the latter . . . if Beth had been rescued years ago, then who is Alice? A third party who decided to screw with the Kanes by claiming to be Beth? Maybe we should gather to talk about this. No tea, though . . . strictly water and carbonated beverages.

This was fun. One thing . . . anyone else want the Queen of the Skithra to meet Tzim-Zha or one of his kind? I mean, those teeth. DAMN. Great performances all around . . . Edison as asshole but not a major antagonist, the Doctor and Tesla’s interactions . . . and Graham and Ryan quipping off each other. “This ain’t our first rodeo.” “You’ve never been to a rodeo.” Ryan, you’re not helping.”

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - General Discussion
Lantern7 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
I can understand that sentiment, but I like Narancia, even if he's too aggro. Also, it's kinda cute that he feels the need to spread his arms out to make a strip of "land" for Aerosmith. Godfather Mafia: Horse's head in your bed Golden Wind Mafia: Your snooping comrade cut into pieces, stuffed in clear tanks (full of formaldehyde?), and sent to you and the rest of your crew ETA for @Terrafamilia . . . Formaggio also has no problems shoving a cat into a regular-sized bottle. Do you still prefer him to Narancia? 😜 -
Just checking to see reactions for the second season. The general vibe I got online was that it was a letdown due to the animation downgrade. Also, I feel the Monster Society's invasion arc was monotonous . . . and it's still going on in volume 18 (I think) of the manga. Garo/Garou's backstory was interesting . . . sure, it's about an outcast who decides he's a monster, and he is a human killing machine (eight class-A heroes taken down!!), but he's nowhere near as evil as actual monsters. Oh, and Saitama wrapped up Season 2 by punching a gigantic centipede. To be honest, I think it was more intense in the manga. I think it took at least eight-pages of destruction from the impact of the punch.

This is basically Dr. Stone: Tsukasa Warriors: Ha ha! We're attacking the village! And since there's a storm, you can't use firepower this time! Senku: [cocky grin] You're correct. You got us dead to rights, ten billion percent. But guess what we just made? [Science Kingdom Fighters pop out of nowhere wielding . . .] Senku: Katanaaaaaaaaaaaaassss!!!!!! [celebratory airhorns sound off] Senku: And airhorns. We made airhorns for this moment. Just because. Gin: [to Suika] That's Senku . . . always so ocky-kay! Suika: WHAT???!!!??? THIS NEW MELON DIDN'T COME WITH EAR PROTECTION!!!!!!! And now . . . CELL PHONES! Reading that in the manga, I was taken aback. But how will he create useless apps and games?

Heads up . . . five-hour marathon on Monday night starting at 11 p.m. Pretty choice episodes to boot. “The Return of the King” will air at midnight.

And that game was at the top of the 2019 edition of Amazin’ Finishes on SNY.

“Mickey! Heeeeeey, buddy! How have you been? Listen, we want to throw a hypothetical at you real quick . . .” I know, probably the best thing for all concerned, and yet I must 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Reality Blurred: Introducing . . . FIRE TOKENS!!!! *five solid minutes of blaring airhorns* Yes, Andy is as enthused as I am. I mean, I feel there should be something to gum up the works, given that alliances may have been made years ago (to say nothing about Ramber) . . . but I don’t think Fire Tokens are the way to go.

Final115: Ozzy’s final confessional In South Pacific. I think Mario made up that last bit, but it’s too close to happening given Probst & Burnett.
-
I gotta go to bed, but I just found this thread. I go to comic shows on a regular basis, and I hit up artists for sketches. This is from Kristen Gudsnuk, done at Brooklyn Comic Con last year. And for comparison purposes, here's Sara by Kristen from 2014.

Tomorrow Today: Media & Behind The Scenes Of LOT
Lantern7 replied to Trini's topic in Legends Of Tomorrow
Nice poster, though it feels more like "Greatest Hits" to me. Post-COIE trailer. Looks like Mona will be using the Beebo blanket "for real." -
Mets are reportedly weighing options on Beltran. On the one hand, what's one more manager ousted that is connected to the scandal? On the other hand . . . how often do the Mets use conventional wisdom? There's a minor league baseball thread for stuff like that. Just sayin'.

I’m rooting for a third title. Why not? My feeling is the show want someone to tie her. Look at the previous season . . . Rob seemed to do most of the talking, probably because Burnett and Probst love deifying Rob. Sure, Sandra wasn’t spectacular in either of her wins, but she was great to watch. The main argument for her being the show’s G.O.A.T.? She had to spend 77 of 78 days with Jon Dalton and Russell Hantz, and she didn’t murder either of them. Regardless of the S20 casting, she’ll always be a hero to me.

It would be fun to see another non-Caucasian woman earn a second title. It would be awesome if it were an ex-Racer. And even if you’re not a fan of Natalie, you can have fun in wondering if Nadiya is there in her place. I honestly think she could scam all of the production team. Who would expect it?
