  1. I quit TWD after S8 because of Negan, and now they're making a spin-off for him?! Considering the spinoff involves Negan and Maggie, they should name it TWD: Supernatural Alums.
  2. Even though its overall tone is a lot more lighthearted than the fare I usually prefer for my procedural detective shows, I'm wondering if The Mallorca Files got a renewal or is it dead? After watching all previous 16 episodes, I could watch more if there is to be any. I've searched the net and can't find anything near definitive for an answer, either way.
  3. ^This, plus no Spencer Reid? Yeah, I'm gonna hard pass on it when it's 'live', but might decide to check it out later if reviews make it seem like its worth the time spent to do so. (which I will not be holding my breath for, since my expectations for it are already beneath the basement level)
  4. We'd all be dead by the 3rd episode into the series. lol The scene where Chuck and Sarah have arrived at the art gala, in search of La Ciudad. Where he drops hors d'oeuvres sauce on his tie, then after Sarah laughs at him goes on about screwing up during his first time as a spy while lots of other people are walking around and Sarah quiets him down by telling him to quit saying he's a spy. That's like 5 drinks in one scene alone. I'd be sauced out of my mind after just that ~60 second scene.
  5. Anyone ever watch Haunted Encounters: Face to Face, back when it was on in 2012? The investigating team calls themself the 'Paranormal Syndicate'. A lead, a case manager, a tech specialist, a 'renowned' psychic and even a ghost-sniffing golden retriever. Trvl is airing it now. Once they introduced The Captain, the dog, I moved this show from 'just another paranormal investigation show' to 'absurdity'. The show's host voice-overs - as well as the tech specialist reiterating - that, "Like a bomb-sniffing dog, Captain has been trained to sniff out electromagnetic anomalies". Come on. If you had said he could sense it, ok, but sniff out electromagnetic changes!? How can he smell something that is completely odorless nor has any way to actually provide odor to sniff?? Tech specialist again just said "Captain can smell anomalous EMF". NO!! lol. That isn't possible! lol. Its kinda obvious immediately why this show only got the chance to air 5 episodes total.
  6. Agreed that these are possibilities. And now that you've brought it up, I'm fully expecting yet some more delay tactics in this season finale, even if its something other than you described above.
  7. Having watched the last new episode (finally), I don't see how they can't be - at least - in the process of making "Miggy' canon by the final scenes of the soon-to-be S4 finale. I mean, they basically just made it 100% clear that Magnum does indeed have more than just 'friends/work partner' feelings for Higgins with the final scene in this last episode, even though its been strongly hinted at since the tail end of last season (longer, actually). And we've known for - more than - half this season that Higgins feels the same about Magnum. I don't see how they can keep prolonging the canonizing of "the OTP". They've already paired them both off with two 'serious' PLIs. They've done the whole "you two are a cute couple! ... oh wait, you're not a couple!?" thing many times, as well as the friends telling them they should be together. There can't be very many feasible options left in the "WT/WT anvils playbook".
  8. *goes back for another look* Sure is. Can't believe I didn't catch that yesterday.
  9. I know Photoshop wasn't any where close to being a 'thing' back then, but that pic looks PS'd as all hell. Looks like a normal boy, but with the eyes all whited out. One change to try and make a normal photo look "spooky as hell". And coincidentally, this episode will be replayed on History a half hour from now.
  10. I totally get JH's feelings about the show "losing a lot" if they have Magnum & Higgins become a couple before the series ending - this exact thing killed Castle, from my own personal POV - but if that is the route they will go, the writers really need to dial back the numerous anvils in nearly every episode. Its long been known the question has changed from 'if', to 'when' Miggy will become canon.
  11. Don't worry, you didn't miss much of anything. Maybe I'm just a cynical, bah-humbug skeptic, but I feel like I could - and most times, do - come up with at least 2 ways every piece of footage could have been faked, instead of buying the "this stuff is SO genuine!!" each of the 'experts' try to sell us. They show footage of either a ghost/shadow walking off somewhere that supposedly a normal person couldn't. But almost every time, they video taker never provides any proof to show that what an entity did was not possible for a normal flesh-&-blood person could do. Or one of the videos last night was supposedly seeing Bigfoot in the woods at the edge of their property (@ Christmas, in northern Minnesota), but like usual, no video of acquiring proof of what was seen; IE checking the snow out there for huge footprints, etc.
  12. For anyone who gives a hoot, the new season of P: CoC premieres tonight, at 8p CDT on Trvl. They must be running out of good evidence for episodes - at least towards the tail end of 2021 - because the last 3 to 4 episodes of the previous season were the "OMG: Caught on Camera" variety of P: CoC. IE, the real-world events that are miraculous/unexplained in nature, instead of the usual ghosts/cryptids/UFO 'captures'.
  13. I'll still check it out, first couple episodes at least, but after reading about the series ... it seems more like a fanfic-turned-streaming TV series. I'd honestly rather watch a live-action version of the game(s), not some "15 years after ..." speculative fiction. Don't really get the "... will follow the villain Albert Wesker, captain of the S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) Alpha Team." part of the series' synopsis. I haven't played any of the games, but having watched some gameplay and read about most of them (& some fanfics) pretty sure the 'STARS team(s)' weren't a thing after the first 3 or 4 games, was it? And even if it was, wasn't AW already outed as an Umbrella BOW'd stooge during those games/'years'??
  14. Watching the Mahogany Ship episode, from the 5th season, and they're searching the ship-shaped mound for the ship. While digging, Josh hits something then yells at the guys "Hey, I've got wood over here!", then another guy says "He's got wood!" as they move quickly to Josh's position. I sometimes hate how juvenile my sense of humor can be, but I can't help it.
  15. I don't necessarily hate HGM, I just don't like the way its advertised. Its misleading. They aren't really any closer to solving these mysteries, as they give very little actual new evidence/facts to these long-standing unsolved enigmas. They just rehash the theories that have been out there for a very long time, since almost the beginning of the mysteries themselves. But as with anything else, ymmv and to each their own.
  16. I love the general concept of HGM [/sarcasm], itself, let alone the episode on the The Amityville Horror. Fishbourne gives the series the tagline of "We are closer than ever to solving these long-standing unsolved mysteries". Yeah. No. All the 'experts/people involved' do is regurgitate the outlandish theories that everyone else has already spouted out over and over again. Yawn. Although, if not faked, this was the first time I remember ever seeing the "ghost boy" photo from the Warren's (& other paranormal/local news crew) investigation of the Amityville house, back in the late 70s/early 80s.
  17. That whole 'shipping' talk between Higgy and the lady at the start of the last episode, then the extended wrist/hand touching and "My mother would have liked you" at the end.... we've graduated from mountain-sized anvils about "Miggy" to planet dwarfing ones. If I rolled my eyes any harder at the obviousness, my whole body would rotate with them.
  18. I am ok with it taking longer to film this new season - due to all the factors you listed, as well as HG's new family additions - and thus be ready to air at some point in the near-ish future, but I had heard/read zilch about production of a new season. So I was fearful that they'd just pulled the plug on it. Thankfully it seems I was anxious for no reason.
  19. Was this series cancelled? Just wondering. Haven't heard anything about a new season, not even off-handedly or articles wistfully hoping for it.
  20. Hope the series is better than the RE: Welcome to Raccoon City movie. Wasn't all that impressed, despite liking the actors from previous movies and/or TV shows.
  21. I'll wait until it's officially confirmed, but starting to see article headlines out there stating that MGG won't be returning to CM. Trying to imagine a Spencer Reid-less Criminal Minds, and can't really do it (aside from MGG's normal absences for episodes filmed in October, in the past).
  22. I know there's still plenty of time to get him onboard, but .... Watching a Criminal Minds season(s), with a guarantee of there being no Dr. Spencer Reid, is a big ask for those who consider MGG's character their most favored among the main cast.
  23. Not saying it isn't, just saying I imagine that All of Us Are Dead is probably lacking the HSotD's 'fanservice'.
  24. Haven't watched it yet, but is this - more or less - a live-action version of HighSchool of the Dead, only without all the ecchi?
