  1. I'm not planning on watching (initially, at least) anyways, but that's super lame. What's the point of putting a short season, that is supposed to be very serialized, on a streaming platform if not going to make the whole 10-episode season available right off the bat? 😕
  2. Still kinda crazy to me that everyone from the main cast of seasons 14 & 15, sans MGG & Daniel Henney, will be back for this new 'season'. But unfortunately, I just can't imagine a Criminal Minds without Dr. Spencer Reid, even if only a mere cameo appearance. It just doesn't compute for me. That's not to say I won't ever check it out or even watch the whole 'season', but I can't envision doing it any time in the near future - unless the reviews are out of this world. I read that CBS is going to 'boost CM's return' by airing a "special broadcast" of the premiere on the broadcast channel the same night. Even if the premiere is interesting, I don't think its gonna make a lot of non-'hardcore CM fans' people rush to their computers/smart TV apps to subscribe to Paramount+; not for a show that previously already had its day in the sun for 15 seasons on P+'s main parent broadcast channel. But that's jmo.
  3. February 19 (2023) is the s5 premiere date then, I take it? So, is that its permanent slot? Sundays at 8p CST?? If so,
  4. Because even though I believe the doll is nothing other than the manufactured materials its made of, there's still that 0.000000000000000001% chance it truly is supernaturally 'powerful'. Almost always better to be safe than sorry.
  5. So, Robert the Doll - just watched the 'ShockDoc' special on it on Trvl - .... I wouldn't necessarily say I believe much of all that about it being strong enough to cause all those different calamities, especially to those who only seen it in the museum and then went back home - assuming its cursed/haunted at all, to begin with. But that said, I also wouldn't go out of my way to visit the doll and intentionally antagonize it either just to make a mockery of its 'legend' and test my luck. I try very hard to not seek out ways to tempt fate, belief in a particular thing or lack thereof.
  6. Watching a couple recent-ish season's episodes of Ghost Adventures, and yep, haven't missed anything since I dropped it years ago. Its a shame really that Bagans and crew started over-sensationalizing everything about their reactions because I used to actually like this series in its earlier years. The reactions in the earlier years felt genuine and not played up for the cameras, but now its the exact opposite. Not gonna lie, it almost feels like most of their freakout reactions are staged only for dramatic effect, ever since the series reached double-digit season numbers. And full honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if it was revealed that they faked a good deal of the evidence they 'catch' in these later seasons.
  7. (I did a search for previous discussion about it, but nothing came up ....) Anyone ever watch the Arne Dahl [Swedish] series? Its over a decade old - 1.5 months from 11 years old - at least when it first debuted. Its based off a book series by the author's nom-de-plume Arne Dahl. Its called a TV series, but its more like a TV movie series, seeing as how each full story is about 3 hours in the first season and 2 hours in the second (& final) season. I've watched the first full 'case' [two 1.5 hour episodes]. It was just good enough to make me wanna check out the next case to see where some things started in the first 3 hours go, but there were some things that just left me shaking my head. Most of which was the lack of intellect that was on display. I was honestly left wondering "these are really Sweden's six (of the) best law enforcement officers, at least in the judgement of one woman!?". There is quite a bit of looks into the personal lives of each, but its just tiny tidbits. This case's 'main' lead gets quite a bit of light shed on his personal life, but the rest are allowed just enough to wonder. Like I said, I'll give it at least one more case to see where things go, but its got some improvements to make.
  8. This is probably "man lands on moon" territory for more than a few here, but the cast & crew have been back in Hawaii for at least 3 weeks and started filming S5 last Monday. Prognosticated premiere date likely in January, sometime.
  9. Honestly, the "Reid will return as an Unsub" speculation sounds more like Reid fans just reaching for any stretch of a reason - story wise - to bring MGG back (at least a season) after the rest of the normal cast got back to work. I mean, look, I want him back on the show like crazy too, but not crazily enough to turn him in to the exact opposite of what his actual character is all about.
  10. IF the "Reid will return as an/the Unsub" for a season thing turns out to have any real grain of truth to it, I doubt he will be truly evil/a criminal. I'd bet my farm - if I had one - that he has been undercover and only assuming the role of a bad guy. How he does that without the BAU knowing, your guess is as good as mine, but I have a hard time believing that they'd ruin 15 years of character development like that. I also seriously doubt that MGG would agree to do that to a character he invested a decade and a half of his life to portraying as someone in a very non-criminal like fashion.
  11. The funny thing is, the more I watch about that, the more convinced I am that something broke in the guy's brain - be it his sanity or something else - and he slaughtered his whole family because he imagined that some supernatural force made him do it. And as for the family right afterwards, they just wanted to capitalize on the paranormal craze that the story provided for them and used it to profit off of it. Ended up as a book and movie(s). Maybe that is just my extreme skeptical side coming out, but I do think that is the most likely reality of it all.
  12. I still watch most the stuff I can on Trvl during "Ghostober" just because I'm usually in the mood for it, since October=Halloween, etc. But its lost a lot of the luster I had for it as the years continue on, especially now that I know they are repackaging old shows and presenting them as newer ones. Wasn't on Trvl back then, but I miss the years when Bravo aired the 100 Scariest Movie Moments. I binged the f* out of that show, every mid-to-late October, back in the few years it aired. Coming up on the 18th year anniversary of when it first aired in late October of 2004. Man, the nostalgia. Have watched Eli Roth's History of Horror, on AMC, but while OK and kinda similar, its not nearly as entertaining as 100SMMs was.
  13. Pretty sure the new season starts tomorrow night (9/22 @ 9p CDT). Or at least that's my take by many many ads they keep showing for the new season starting up on Trvl. EDIT: Looking at the D* guide, it seems like the new season must have debuted last week. Tomorrow night's new episode is listed as S27E02. Commentary: This series is in it's 27th season!? Yeesh! _______________________________________________ In case anyone might want to check something like this out, Trvl is airing a 'Ghostober Preview' show at 5p CDT tonight. According to my D* guide, it's going to be hosted by the Ghost Brothers, Jason Hawes and Cindy Kaza.
  14. Ghost Adventures lovers, this is your week on Trvl. Holy shit. Every morning, day AND night (so far) has been one continuous marathon. Good thing there's other channels and other stuff to watch/do, because having to suffer through that show non-stop would be my own personal suffering in the 7th level of Hell.
  15. I was initially thinking that while being very intrigued, I would ultimately have give this a pass after seeing the troubles that the MacGyver reboot ended up being cancelled because of [& right before it was going to make 'MacRiley' canon in the next season. *argh!*] But now seeing that this production is actually a sequel series to its parent one - and not a true reboot - it shouldn't have those problems. Will indeed be checking this out.
  16. Monsters: Caught on Camera on now. Its P: CoC, Creatures Edition. Isn't there an UFOs: Caught on Camera, as well? Wonder when the Everything but Monsters & UFOs: Caught on Camera edition will come out.
  17. Hopefully Fright Club sticks around for a while, that way we'll have Jack at least in that way. I like JO. The rest of the Osbournes, however.... haven't seen his sister much in things, but what I have seen I could mostly do without. Even more so for his parents.
  18. Whose watching the new series, Ghosts of Devil's Perch? First episode premiered last Sunday night; re-airing at 7p CST tonight, followed by the new episode at 8p. Its just another paranormal investigation series, only involving most of a small town instead of just one single location. Think it's just a way to keep Dave Schrader and Cindy Kaza relevant & around, after Trvl cancelled The Holzer Files. (& speaking of cancelled shows on Trvl, learned that Portals to Hell was cancelled while watching Fright Club)
  19. That one about the Birds Aren't Real had to be staged for laughs, though. Had to be! Especially with the "handshake" bit. Although I will give the guy 'running things' & Dalen credit. They kept a poker face and didn't lose it during any of it. I loved the instances of Jack, Juwan and Marcus doing little to hide their incredulity or hold their laughter in during the whole call.
  20. I completely agree. My previous post was just a moment of really dark humor.
  21. Just binged all (the aired episodes) of Fright Club. When the guys are watching the clips/pictures and then having fun with their reactions and trying to make the others laugh their asses off, I really like this show. LOLing a lot. No true offense to the evidence gatherers and 'experts', but when they bring them on for discussion, it ruins most of the flow of what makes the show most enjoyable. That's JMO. They could also cover more clips and captures if didn't feel the need to talk to the evidence owners & experts after each viewing. If the evidence owners are seeking help to deal with what they got going on, make another show similar to this, but call it something like Paranormal SOS. Where the host(s) can talk to every gather and connect them to 'experts' to deal with what they got going on.
  22. The word does have very seriously all-encompassing negative connotations, no matter the circumstances. When it comes to the lawful aspects, there should be degrees of Cannabilism, just like the levels given to other crimes. If you're eating the dead only as a means of survival, such as the situation as the Donner Party, then that should be - at worst - cited as a Cannabilism Misdemeanor. Or even let off with just a warning.
  23. JG: The (snowbike), which is basically the result of a snowmobile and a motorcycle getting drunk, spending the night together and having a baby. JG: *after falling off the vehicle* I think my bones broke my fall, which is good.
  24. Joshtails, The Moonwalk. JG: The official recipe calls for 3 drops of Rosewater, but what am I, a chemist? .... And after enough of these, you'll feel like you're walking in zero gravity.
  25. *under the tarp/sheet with the guy to collect samples in this new episode* JG: Just two guys, under a sheet in the desert - in the dayime - alright. ... Why are you taking your pants off? (I'm not) Kidding, just kidding. lol Josh's sense of humor is almost an exact mirror of mine. No wonder I like watching this so much.
