  1. I sooo much agree. Very weird thing to say.
  2. Why specifically? Just curious about your thoughts, I'm not disagreeing.
  3. Amen to that. I would like this show a little more if they really gave good tips, but this just shows the crazies. There is often an obsession with water for a lot of these people.
  4. A Crime to Remember very happy. it won an Emmy. Would like it if Murder Comes to Town came back too,
  5. This is getting into Grimm territory. Overall, this show has a stronger cast, but last two weeks have been the creature of the week. Not enough Jenny. Icabod has been quite pompous and arrogant of late. He needs to at least be okay with Hawley helping. They need all the help they can get. Also sick of Icabod knowing everyone from the colonial time period. Can't he just have "heard" about Daniel Boone?? Also being fluent in Shawnee, is there anything he can't do? I like this show but it needs to move forward.
  6. I have been trying to be frugal and have made an effort this last month or so. Reduce the # of lottery tickets my husband buys. We spend about $16 a week on pizza, cut it in half. Does he really need to buy 2 papers each morning, often our paper would not be delivered early enough, but that is two dollars each day, plus some kind of hostess snack. I am trying to save on cleaning supplies, they also tend to be better for the environment. I buy microfiber clothes rather than swiffers. Very simple things that take little time and you are saving some $$$. The people on this show put in so much time to save cash it is not worth it. Also, don't cheat people i.e. the people eating at a dinar for 6 people and ordering 2 meals. The waitress works harder and probably does not get a decent tip. I also don't think you should ever sacrifice hygiene, keeping yourself healthy also saves money. Just wondered if anyone has some ideas on being frugal.
  7. Good Point! I really am not sure how this would have played out. I really think the daughters would be more adamant that their beloved father would not do that. Would they have stayed married? Not pleasant to think about. Still wonder about the mistress.
  8. So far this is the new show for me. I thought I would like Marry Me but don't find it funny. Gracepoint is good but only a few episodes and very dark. Utopia is a trainwreck. Last year there was Trophy Wife and The Goldbergs and maybe others. Is it too much to ask for a light , funny show that makes you happy? Comfort TV.
  9. This is great and I want it to succeed.
  10. Amen to that. I am glad I didn't stay up late last night to watch it. Just too much. I really have grown to like a lot of these characters.
  11. Did the mistress stay by his side?
  12. Thanks Reality Cowgirl. Odd that one asset is a$50 wedding ring.
  13. Can someone please clue me in? Have the Williams filed for bankruptcy?
  14. Everyone's opinions mirror mine. The oldest daughter was way off, I kept thinking do other people feel the same? Follow the money. Druzy, I don't remember the FBI even mentioned, just makes this story sadder. John was such a dumb ass for continuing to pay these people. On Deadly Women they had a similar story of a good Christian women throwing money at poor people in Memphis and no one getting the job done. Finally someone carried out the murder. She also embezzled.
  15. I really like this guy and also wondered where he had gone. Hope he's back next episode. Also, what happened with Crossley? Was anything resolved?
  16. Murder Comes to Town a show I like by the way. ID is definitely guilty of this. They also keep telling the same stories over and over. I can't even casually watch most of these shows anymore. Scorned is almost all rehashed material. I am watching little on ID these days and am sad about it. I have about reached my breaking point. On the last Scorned episode about a Dr. they had a juror who was the "expert" witness. I wonder if law enforcement and families are turned off by these shows and don't want to appear. GIVE US NEW STORIES!!!
  17. This was an odd case as so many have been of late. Very unsympathetic cast of characters, so even though I am not certain I won't lose any sleep over this case. Kind of mean I know. Did anyone see the Mommy Dearest case? That was one crazy bitch and felt very sorry for the two sons. So glad the ex girlfriends came together to help convict the mom.
  18. I saw that and thought what you did. She was a user plain and simple. She wins one pageant and divorces her loving husband. Some of the talking heads at least were aware of her behavior. Andurlittledog2, miss you on the Utopia thread. I do understand your frustration.
  19. I was glad they gave Benedict Arnold some redemption. I always felt he really betrayed GW more so than the entire country. He was the golden boy. This remains a good show and always bring the laughs.
  20. I too like the opening, it reminds me of ants. This show,to me, is a lot like Mad Men in many ways. In this the stakes are higher and many characters are patirotic and know the allies must win this war. There is an urgency that I am sure people must have felt at that time. Everyone was scared. I think scared people do things without thinking about the consequences. My parents were involved in WWII in minor rolls, my mom worked in a bomb factory and then went to nurses training. My dad worked on a navy base. According to my grandmother he was on a ship overseas and she prayed to Sy. Jude and the ship turned around. TMI, anyhow I can't imagine how scary it must have been. We were not sure that the allies would win. The general public was not fully aware of the slaughter that had taken place. I just think that the atmosphere on The Hill had to be sufocating. I don't think I could have withstood it and totally understand Liza's freakout. For me the big flaw of Manhattan is the lack of humor. There is no Roger with witty remarks or Pete being Pete or even funny situations. It is too serious.
  21. i thought the underwear belonged to Brian Render the presumed murderer who in now dead.
  22. I continue to watch Deadly Women, it is my crack. The case of Tracy Roberts' bothered me a lot. It happened in a small Iowa town and was presented as though the prosecutor and FBI dude were obsessed with the case. I don't think was the case. A young troubled boy was killed and people assumed the worst, leaving a heartbroken mother. I think my cynicism knows no bounds. I have lost faith in the police (I know there are good ones). In general, I have lost my faith in people. I think we have become more cruel and selfish. Just getting this off my chest. When we screw someone or cheat then or whatever, it is about us more than them. We become tainted. We don't need religion to tell us right from wrong, I think it is inherent in us. And yet I wish I believed in something. I am done just getting this off my chest.
  23. My unpopular opinion, the judges on DWTS are way too mean. On the singing or cooking shows the contestants are trying to get a job in that field so the sometimes harsh criticism may actually help. On DWTS these people are not going to pursue a career in dance. I know this show is losing popularity fast, but just wanted to state my opinion as to why the show does not work. Bruno said some very mean things to Michael Bolten and I thought Wow this guy is not going to do this to earn his keep. Just wanted to get that of my chest.
