  1. I’m pretty certain I’ve moved myself from the bed to the gurney. The big no-no I see in that episode is the make up. No makeup or nail polish at all is allowed.
  2. They’ve done that a few times with Blanche. She didn’t know what a lesbian was or an orator or bilingual. She’s not stupid. I guess with the latter two you can chalk it up to her always having sex on her mind and hearing different words in her head because of it.
  3. In the Rusty Anchor episode where Dorothy becomes popular, in the bathroom scene where Dorothy and Blanche are talking, I was noticing how much more attractive Dorothy looked than Blanche. Talk, slim, elegantly dressed, beautifully coiffed hair, nice jewelry. Dorothy may not have had the prettiest face but could look quite stunning when styled right.
  4. Maybe I’ve seen too many Columbo episodes, but when Rose confronts her dentist and tells him she’s going to report him to the state dental board and he starts to panic I always think “this is when the murder happens.”
  5. I started watching the episodes on Hulu while Hallmark ran their endless Christmas movies. There are so many lines that I can’t ever remember hearing before. It’s such a joy to watch a full episode without those horrible edits often right in the middle of a scene.
  6. I think it’s funny that the St Olaf Woman of the Year trophy made it to Miami before the gals. It had to have been mailed after Rose had left St Olaf and Emma Ingahoffer was disqualified yet Harry Weston had it when they arrived back in Miami.
  7. Apparently a lot of good people go to hell: Bobby, Kevin, Eileen to name a few, and for longer than either brother was there. So nothing special about that anymore.
  8. I’ve always seen Dean as rather mentally ill. Not psychotic or sociopathic obviously but more along the lines of untreated mood disorders, OCD, depression and a tendency to self medicate. Sam is far more the stable “normal” one thrown into abnormal circumstances and doing his best to deal with it.
  9. I think it was in the episode where Sophia pretends to channel Charlie and Rose says it was the worst thing Sophia had ever done to her that Sophia says she once buried Rose up to her neck and let kids throw balls at her head. And Rose doesn’t deny it happened. I don’t like it when the show has the girls be mean. Sophia was awful in that episode but that story makes her sound sociopathic.
  10. You do realize these movies came out in 2012 and casting would have been the year before? And in all those years since he has not landed any major role or been confident enough in the interest in him to not keep renewing his contract?
  11. I can believe that Jensen stayed because he enjoyed the work and the people, he liked the security and the paycheck and he realized leaving a show is always risky. But what is clearly not true is the claim by some that the show stalled his career and he lost all sorts of major roles because of his contract (which he continue to sign multiple times). Auditioning for so many big roles and not getting them is probably why he continued to sign on. If he wasn’t in big demand and not getting many major offers in his thirties, that’s unlikely to change in his 40s. If he stays with acting, his most likely roles will be as the father of rebellious drug troubled teens in Lifetime and Hallmark movies or maybe a dad role in a sitcom if he’s lucky. Maybe he will just choose to direct instead.
  12. Or Rob and Bob. I’ve seen potted plants with more personality. I guess they had money since one at least could put a new car on his credit card. But blech those two were dull as dirt and the actors stiff as boards.
  13. I’m not buying his career has been thwarted or he’s lost out on many major roles. He kept signing on when he easily could have made other choices. If he were in any demand, he would have left long ago.
  14. A lot of tombstones have just a family name with more than one family member buried there. I wouldn’t read anything into that.
  15. Variety.com has an article about Jensen. It’s not letting me copy the link. It’s in the TV section of the site.
  16. It’s not like Sal was a prize. He was a compulsive gambler who lost the pizza/knish stand after he gambled away the profits. While Dorothy got a job to pay for a TV, so did Sophia. Sophia’s taking in sewing to buy the TV and Sal’s going out drinking. Her own father didn’t like Sal and she admitted he wasn’t smart, good looking or a good provider. I think Dorothy in a flashback episode told Sophia when Sophia said she had never accomplished anything, that despite working two jobs she always was there for her and they always had meat on the table. I understand Sophia not easily forgiving Stan for walking out on Dorothy, but not for hating him while they were married (remember they didn’t know about Stan’s compulsive cheating until he confessed before his bypass surgery).
  17. Sophia was always so mean, abusive and belittling of Dorothy, it’s hard to believe she cared about her. She seemed angriest when she felt she couldn’t control Dorothy such as when Dorothy was dating someone she didn’t approve of.
  18. I think it was pretty clear Cas was trying to stick to Dean’s plan and work with Belphagor to do so up until he realized Belphagor had tricked them. Once he realized that Belphagor’s plan all along was to use the souls to make himself ruler of hell, he had no choice but to kill him before he became too powerful. He began explaining to Dean but Dean jumped all over him and refused to listen and started ranting about Cas always screwing up. Who would stick around after that?
  19. Yes. And when she said to Cas something about Cas not knowing what Belphagor is, for a second I though he was going to turn out to be something specially powerfully evil, knowing about Lilith’s horn and that it was stored in a case with an Enochian spell among other things. But no sooner did she say it then Belphagor was dead.
  20. Too bad Dean didn’t ask Cas what happened instead of defaulting back into his perpetual self righteous jerk mode. If Bel had taken in 3 billion souls and become a god as he thought he would, Cas was right to stop him. The plan had to change as Cas tried to explain but taking to Dean is like talking to a wall. Every season it’s the same thing, find a reason to get them all mad and distrusting if each other and create phony drama over it all.
  21. I didn’t always like Rowena but she’s been the bright spot in this otherwise horrid season. I hope she’s not gone for good. Her falling into the pit in her bright dress while all around her was brown and dead-looking sums it up.
  22. What is this other than people running around in Halloween costumes? And let’s make one of them Jack the Ripper and have him give pep talks to the others. Throw in a few stupid humans who decide to walk into the quarantined area to get killed. Ugh.
  23. There’s a whole unused half a room behind the sofa. The only time I remember them ever using the back half of the living room (other than people walking through) is when Sophia was tied to a chair back there by Merrill.
  24. https://www.womenshealthmag.com/life/a29440152/the-golden-girls-house/ Article on the house. “The entrances and exits didn’t always make sense”. You don’t say.
  25. I thought it was just plain boring. It also has one of my least favorite elements: when the brothers have to team up with a demon because even with all their knowledge and experience, the Winchesters and Cas have no solutions.
