A Case Of The Mondays: Vent Your Work Spleen Here
Browncoat replied to potatoradio's topic in Everything Else
I wouldn't read too much into how many people are on the interview committee. I formed a committee that just happened to be all women (most of my co-workers are women), and I had to add a man for diversity! -
I wonder who is Abby’s mother?
-
I never heard of MIMAL either, but FJ was an instaget. Those two states just seemed like the logical choices. I also got the TS of The Fabelmans, Hurricane Ian, bay, and Constantine.

A Case Of The Mondays: Vent Your Work Spleen Here

Remember that you are interviewing them as well. Even if they offer you the job, you are not obligated to accept. -
Rats. I also said the non-specific "cars" for FJ, although I was thinking of Ford and the Model T when I said it. And I didn't get any TS, either. So much for feeling so smart after Celebrity Jeopardy!

I remembered this was on, recorded it, and just watched today. I'm glad all three got to play in FJ, but damn, Patton just killed it. Some of their answers were truly boneheaded, but at least they had fun, I suppose. I tried to root for Torrey, because of her charity, but I just couldn't do it. I did like Candace telling the audience to cheer for her. Oh, and it took me a second for FJ, but I got it in plenty of time.

Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"

Oh, hell no. If I want the whole wedding in blush and bashful, the men better be in pink tuxes, too. -

I am just contrary enough that I would wear the opposite color. Or maybe if the color scheme were yellow, I'd wear green -- there's yellow in green! But I don't think anyone has dictated my clothing choices since I was a toddler. I don't even have a dress code at work. -

There was a recent Ann Landers column (okay, probably not Ann Landers, but whoever's in the newspaper) about a bride who wanted all the guests to wear yellow. Apparently dictating to your guests is becoming a thing. -
It's also entirely possible that when James was on Jeopardy, Yogesh said, "Hey, that guy looks familiar!" and looked him up, only to realize it was the same guy Yogesh beat in high school.

I am sad! I love stoned wheat thins.

2/5 this week.

I didn't have a clue for FJ tonight. Seemed obvious when the correct response was revealed, but I don't think I'd ever have come up with it on my own. As for TS, I said "mom" instead of motherhood, and I guessed "rum" line -- definitely wrong if I'd had to spell it, but since it's pronounced the same as "rhumb", I'm giving it to myself!

I am cautiously optimistic. It looks like a better adaptation that the travesty that was A Wrinkle In Time (I had such high hopes for that one!).
-
I think, but I’m not certain, that he said he and Watson are the only ones who have beaten both Ken and Brad.
-
I thought he said he beat Ken and Brad?

I knew FJ was a tapestry, but I didn't know the name of it. And I was picturing the wrong one anyway (after googling the correct one). I was worried about Yogesh for a minute -- middle guy was pretty fast on the buzzer, too. Outstanding game.

Trailers & New Movies: Coming Soon to a Cinema Near You!

Heh. -
At least we got to see the Lobo. And the guy who took Dan's beer hat!
-
Wow. Those guys were fast on the buzzer! I almost felt bad for former champ, who couldn't get a buzz in edgewise. It took me almost the whole think music time, but I managed to get FJ in the last second. I remember hearing about that. The only TS I got was What Color is Your Parachute? Not that there were many to get. Now I want to see Yogesh play against Jeopardy James.

Catching up from Tuesday night. I also said "The Little Mermaid" for FJ, although I was sure I was wrong. The correct response did seem obvious after Ken revealed it. I did get the TS of artichoke, Indy 500, cambric, and Tucson.
-
Total instaget FJ -- I got it before Ken finished reading the clue. I only got three TS, though -- dog in the manger, campanile, and sleep. I would have been fine with any of them winning tonight. Congrats to the new champ!

Also, regarding the ketchup-on-spaghetti commercial, you don't have to eat "healthy" every meal just because you're an adult. There have been many occasions when I've gotten home from work and am just too tired to make food, so I have a bowl or two of cereal for supper.

I believe someone would buy it as an art piece. The wood is beautiful.
