The Show: Sad Pibbles and Happy Tails
EyewatchTV211 replied to dbell1's topic in Pit Bulls And Parolees [V]
I don't really have an opinion about her personally one way or the other. I'm a newer viewer of the show, although I have probably seen most eps. through repeats now. But I don't follow them on social media at all and haven't gone back to everything here. I just enjoy (mostly) the show when I can see amazing dogs get homes and I appreciate what they are trying to do with the parolees. -

She talked about it in the beginning, so you must have tuned in right after. It was the first situation you described - as soon as his work-release program was completed he stopped showing up. -

Agree with all. Was sad to hear that Darrius didn't stick around. I was wondering how he was doing after the cute stuff last season with the vet tech stuff. Such a shame. I hope Richard will work out - he seems to bond nicely with the dogs. -
Expedition Unknown - General Discussion

I don't watch on iTunes, so I can't really answer you there. But besides the extraterrestrial episodes and the ones you listed related to the Vikings and Stonehenge, I think the other "new" episodes were old episodes that they either had new behind-the-scenes footage of or the game show type episodes, not actual new episodes. -

I also saw them and enjoyed them. -
Kids Baking Championship - General Discussion

When I heard cookie cake, I thought of this. It is what I have always known as a cookie cake, which I often got as a child to bring to school for my birthday (I'm lactose intolerant and many of them actually didn't have milk, unlike real cake). -
I just got into this show. Wasn't planning on posting, but after reading this thread I got a bit confused about the storyline with El and her aunt. I guess I missed something or interpreted differently than everyone here (though I think my parents, who watched with me had similar thoughts as I did). I didn't see the aunt's phone call as being to Joyce or Hopper necessarily (again, unless I missed something that directly suggested she was). After what happened, I thought she was calling to turn her in to someone, whether the gov't people or social services or whatever. El overheard and knew she couldn't stick around, so she left very suddenly (while the aunt was making the call) and went to find the sister before she could be taken away. I think she would have stayed there longer if the phone conversation hadn't happened. So this would be another reason not to want to live there and why I didn't question her ending up with Hopper. Since I am apparently the only person who had these thoughts, maybe I need to go back and rewatch the scenes.

This should be my last post about Thomas Beaudoin (at least until his Hallmark movie airs). I was talking about this movie and the Lifetime one with my mom, who had also liked him in The Spirit of Christmas, and how different he looked. In trying to show her, I found a couple of other clips of him on youtube with a cleanshaven face. First is this previous Lexus commercial, which I remember seeing and thinking the guy was very hot: and then an interview before The Spirit of Christmas. He doesn't talk a whole lot, but he looks really great here, too. He actually reminds me a little of Matt Bomer, lookswise, and that is a very high compliment from me. I think Matt is one of the most gorgeous men I've seen.

Shoot. I wish I had read this in time to re-record. I just did a search and it looks like it won't be playing again. :-( I was disappointed in Christmas Cruise. I was liking it at the start but then it just went downhill for me. I won't detail the several things that made me start to dislike it, but I will just say that if these channels want to keep making characters writers/journalists, they need to be grammatically correct with the obvious things. It bugs when characters say, "Anyways" in general, but a writer?

The lead is definitely super perky, but she and Jesse worked together better than I thought. And it actually wasn't her trying to force Christmas on others - at least not the decorations. That ended up being I was glad they went that route instead of it being her or I would have been annoyed. She only really helped out when he asked for it to please his niece and nephew. I enjoyed this movie more than I expected to. Jesse's overly slicked hair bugged me, though. Who does that with their hair, particularly if he is spending most of his time home trying to write a book on a laptop? Also, that spray snow they use is ridiculous. I get so distracted by how it gets all over the actors' footwear and even pants. And Jesse went sliding in it twice.

Apparently it isn't zero tolerance considering http://ew.com/tv/2017/12/15/carter-oosterhouses-christmas-show-to-air-on-abc-despite-sexual-misconduct-allegations/ -

There's also Duff Goldman, but he already hosts/judges a million Food Network shows and probably can't do something for ABC. -
This is probably why I've never been tempted to visit any of the small towns (yes I know they are made up) while I'm super eager to go to NYC to see the holiday decorations. I've been to NYC plenty in my life, especially while growing up relatively close by in NJ. But we never went during the holidays to avoid the crowds. Maybe this would be a good year to go with overall tourism in the country down.

Sorry for the double post. Was trying to quote two separate comments and messed it up. Anyway - I agree Ingo cannot pass for 39 and definitely looks on the older side for this character. But the forehead wrinkles actually aren't indicative of age to me. I think that may be an inherited trait. My brother and dad both have those deep wrinkles/ridges in their foreheads. And they've always had it as far back as I can remember. I know my mom used to joke about it at least when my brother was in his 20s, and he's only in his mid-30s now. Their foreheads look better/worse depending on the facial expressions they are making, but it's a defining feature of theirs.
