  1. Clues about Felicity's father from 3x18... Mama Smoak: "If your father were here... " Felicity: "He would be arrested." Mama Smoak: "Probably. But right before that, he would tell you that sometimes, we got to take a chance, particularly for the people we care about." Felicity: "I did it. " Mama Snoak: "Ah! I am so proud of you. I am so proud--your father would be proud of you." Felicity: "You know, he's not exactly a role model, but..." Mama Smoak (to Felicity): "You look the way you did when you were seven years old and stole your father's electronics collection to make a super computer." So we know that Felicity's father is someone who is willing to take a chance for people he cares about, that he's done questionable things that would make him not a role model, and that he had an electronics collection. We also know from previous episodes that he's smart like Felicity and that he abandoned or left his family when she was a small child. Before 3x18, I would have guessed that he was a bad guy who cruelly abandoned his family. But now it could be that he was forced to leave his family even though he loved them and that he probably still loves them. Could he still be a villain? Yes, but he could be a villain with a weak spot - love for his family. Or he could be a villain like Malcolm - who loves Thea but is still willing to use her. Or he could be a good guy who is forced to leave (by ARGUS? HIVE? Bratva?) in order to protect his family.
  2. I came across this general fan website that has transcripts of all the Arrow episodes from season 1 to the present: http://transcripts.foreverdreaming.org/viewforum.php?f=172&sid=9ce740eb6900f5cdddbb42e771e4f39f About this website: http://foreverdreaming.org/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=5885
  3. My recollection of season 1 is that Laurel and Tommy complemented each other - she made him want to be a better person, and he made her more likeable. It was a startling contrast to the interactions between Laurel and Oliver that season.
  4. Didn't Ray Palmer call Laurel the Black Canary (to Felicity, iirc) before Quentin went on his rampage against the Arrow and associates (before he held any press briefings)? Even if Ray had bugged the Arrowcave and Felicity's purse, no one in Team Arrow used the Black Canary name before - it was only said at that private meeting between Quentin and Laurel at Sara's gravesite.
  5. I think Felicity catching the bouquet and Ray being a minister won't have any further significance, but were thrown in there by the EPs 'just because' or to tease fans. I don't want an Oliver & Felicity marriage this season because it's only season 3 and it would mean the EPs would likely break them up in season 4. In thinking further about the EPs' original five-year plan, I actually now think that they might've planned (initially) for Oliver & Laurel to reunite during the course of the series but ultimately break up by the end (like in the comics) with Oliver as the Green Arrow being alone but mentally all together at the end - in other words, no endgame pairing. Most likely, they hoped to spin off the Black Canary into her own series.
  6. For a different perspective -- yes, I rolled my eyes at the headline, but the article's not bad and it's short - though I had to roll my eyes again at the "Oliver's will to stay true to himself" line (how can Oliver stay true to himself when he doesn't know who his true self is? remember this season's identity theme?)... 9. I think they wanted to shoot a cool stunt. The three of them jump off the building. Roy and Oliver shoot rappelling line arrows back up to attach to the building, and Oliver swings over to catch Laurel. At the same time, it shows how brave and fearless Laurel is and how much she trusts Oliver to save her.
  10. Two new TV spots for Avengers: Age of Ultron... "We're Fighting An Army Of Robots... 12. Maybe the branding of Oliver, overseen by a mystical priestess chanting ritual words, magically binds Oliver to become the new Ra's even if the old Ra's dies? I mean, we know MG is bringing magic into the Arrrowverse. Regarding that Olicity sex scene in the sizzle reel - I think it's going to be a very beautiful but sad scene. They're in Nanda Parbat, Oliver has accepted the Ra's job, and Felicity & Diggle are leaving to return to Starling City the next day. Knowing this is it for them, Felicity goes to see Oliver. They have sex for the first and - they believe - last time. For some reason I thought of that old Lady Jane movie starring a young Helena Bonham Carter as 16-year-old Jane Grey and a young Cary Elwes as her 17-year-old husband Guilford. There's this very heartbreaking scene of them the night before they're both scheduled to be executed. They sit facing each other, half-naked, and tenderly caress and talk to each other, knowing it's their last time together on earth. I know it's not the same -- but I have a feeling the Olicity scene in that episode is going to be very bittersweet. Incidentally, the CW's latest Arrow promo tagline of "There is no justice without sacrifice." Think about it. What does that even mean?

  14. I hope you guys know that I was kidding (probably unconsciously sparked by that "Palmer Island" reviewer comment)... Seriously, I don't think anything Quentin, Laurel or Thea went through is comparable to what Oliver and Sara experienced. EDITED TO ADD: It was Laura Hurley (of course) who said "Team Arrow did not get to spend a whole lot of time together in “Public Enemy.” With Oliver on the run and Felicity marooned over on Palmer Island, the episode only featured a few scenes of the group together."

  19. The story beats are pretty standard romance story beats. It's everything else that changes.
  20. One part isn't clear to me. Quentin had arrest warrants issued for the Arrow's four associates as well. Don't those associates have to be identified in those warrants? Have Diggle, Felicity, Roy and Laurel been outed as well? And if so, wouldn't Laurel finally be disbarred or at least fired from the D.A.'s office?
