Oliver and Felicity references in some media reviews of last night's superhero shows... THE FLASH REVIEW: “INVINCIBLE” POSTED BY JOSEPH MCCABE ON MAY 18, 2016 http://nerdist.com/the-flash-review-invincible/ ‘The Flash’ Recap: “Invincible” – Mirror Image BY KAYTI BURT 15 HOURS AGO http://collider.com/the-flash-recap-invincible-mirror-image/ The Flash S2: E22 – 'Invincible' By Robert Dougherty May 18, 2016 08:05AM EDT http://www.themovienetwork.com/review/flash-s2-e22-invincible Man Do They Love To Change The Status Quo On Agents Of SHIELD Posted May 18, 2016 by Dan Wickline http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/05/18/man-do-they-love-to-change-the-status-quo-on-agents-of-shield/

With CBS giving up on Supergirl, CBS passing on the Nancy Drew pilot because it skewed too female (allegedly), and CBS show NCIS's killing off yet another female agent, I'm getting a pretty clear picture of CBS' attitude about women - and it ain't pretty.

I meant to post this earlier... DR's comments at Wizard World Minneapolis (posted on the previous page) - about the need for DC Comics' approval and all the red tape & politics involved in using franchise characters like Green Lantern and Harley Quinn - are just a reminder that DC Comics had to have approved killing off Laurel/Black Canary. So although MG is getting all the heat for the death, some of the 'blame' (or credit, depending on your p.o.v.) must also be put on DC Comics, as well as Greg Berlanti. If DC Comics didn't want Arrow's version of Black Canary killed off, then they could've forced the EPs to have Laurel exit the show alive (just leave Star City).

Thanks. I never read the comics, so I'm curious as to what the comics readers think of the new DC logo. Some past DC Comics logos...

After reading the below synopsis for this new DC Comics show, Powerless, my first thought was that by naming the lead character, Emily, they were capitalizing on the popularity of the actress who plays fan fave Felicity on another DC Comics show, Arrow - Emily Bett Rickards. Also, I recognized the name of Arrow stunt double, Atlin Mitchell... Oh good, Wentworth Miller is using his normal voice (and not that affected Snart voice)... Official Trailer | PRISON BREAK Published on May 16, 2016, by Prison Break ETA: Technically, WM isn't an Arrow actor, but a Flarrowverse actor.

Ugh... I just read a 421 episode review (which I didn't post) in which Arrow was criticized for making the nuke strike on a small town a character development plot point for Felicity. Betcha if it had involved Oliver, there'd be praises galore. In fact, the show itself - as well as every other superhero show or movie - is about the character development of the hero due to hard choices being made and horrific things happening as a result. But heaven forbid, there be any character development of Felicity beyond being comic relief and IT support for Oliver.

SA is doing a live Q&A on facebook right now... https://www.facebook.com/stephenamell/ -- It's mostly TMNT2 stuff. However, he did say that he thought the Green Arrow was closer to Leonardo than to Casey Jones (in terms of similar characters). He also said that he thought Roy Harper was closer to Casey Jones. ETA: He really looks like he's growing a mustache/beard - for Arrow S5?

It's always a double standard argument when it comes to criticizing Felicity - like saying that there's too much romance on Arrow, while simultaneously saying that Green Arrow has to hook up with Black Canary. Or saying that Felicity cries too much, while it's okay that Barry cries all the time.
