  3. 10 Times Arrow’s Felicity Smoak Was Unintentionally Dirty Posted on May 25, 2016 by Brittany Goldfield Rodrigues http://www.andpop.com/2016/05/25/10-times-arrows-felicity-smoak-unintentionally-dirty/?utm_content=bufferea3d1&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
  4. If I'm trying to put an optimistic spin on things (trying, I said), then the delay in reuniting Oliver & Felicity as a couple could just be additional confirmation that they're endgame.
  5. Thanks for the Flashpoint Paradox summary, @arjumand. Honestly, every time I read about another romantic storyline in the comics, it just irks me even more that there were complaints about romance on Arrow.
  6. My overall impression from all the spoilers is that the team members will all be kinda traumatized by the end of this season by the culmination of everything that's happened (Laurel's death, killing Andy, nuke strike causing thousands of deaths, threat of world Armageddon, defeating Darhk), so that any "resolution" to O&F will take a back seat. Then the team will break apart, with presumably O&F staying in Star City while Diggle and Thea leave to go elsewhere (at least for the summer). In other words, team-wide PTSD (except maybe for Oliver). In other interviews, SA has said that O&F's relationship will be in a mature place with respect to their break-up, and that we will get a certain sense of what the future holds for O&F and where they're headed in S5 and beyond. Also, DR has said that O&F are in a better place but not back together, that there's movement in the right direction but we won't get everything we want, and that there is hope but don't expect a wedding at the beginning of S5.

  8. Vulture interview with EK... Arrow’s Echo Kellum on Becoming Mr. Terrific, Snapchat, and the ‘Revenge of the Black Nerd’ Lifestyle By Jenny Raftery May 25, 2016 . http://www.vulture.com/2016/05/arrow-echo-kellum-mr-terrific.html?mid=twitter_vulture
  9. From DR's Extra Facebook Q&A (video posted above)... -- Asked to describe how things are with each of the characters at the end of this season, DR: -- Asked if he thought Olicity was endgame, DR: "Of course! Hello? It's Olicity. Yes, Olicity is endgame. But, it's going to be very interesting as to how they get there. Um, to be honest with you, I don't know exactly where the writers want to take it all the way, all the way. So I think it's a 'yay' but I really don't know. That's a producer question. But I think it is." -- Asked if he could tell a funny story about him, SA and EBR, DR: "You know, it's fart jokes... it's dumb, stupid fart jokes." -- Asked about what Diggle will be doing in S5, DR: -- Asked if Oliver and Diggle will fight side by side next season, DR said that he personally thinks that "one of the best parts of the show" is when Oliver and Diggle are out in the field and Felicity is on the comms helping them. He would love to see more of that next season. -- DR said that Diggle will -- DR said that right now Diggle doesn't have a job and he has a sugar mama (Lyla). He noted that Oliver also has no job and a sugar mama (Felicity) right now. -- DR said that the writers are aware that fans want more Delicity scenes. -- DR agreed with fans that he wants more Diggle action scenes and more Diggle & Lyla scenes. He also noted that Lyla is in charge of the Suicide Squad and wants to see how that affects Diggle and their marriage. He also noted that baby Sara upstages every scene. -- Asked for his favorite Diggle moment this season, DR mentioned his scene with KC at the bar, talking about his brother being alive, and his scene with SA & EBR when Felicity tells the guys to sit there and hash out their problems like adults. -- Asked if he thinks Oliver will run for Mayor again, DR said that he didn't know but hoped so. -- DR mentioned Supergirl coming to The CW and the crossover. -- DR said that he's been doing a lot of the fighting (except for stunts like going through a wall) and that SA has also been doing a lot of his fighting. -- Asked if baby Sara will ever get a little brother or sister, DR said that he didn't know. -- DR said there were tons of funny moments and that it's hard to stay in character when SA and JB are on set. -- DR really wants to get back to the fighting and to OTA solving the crime.
  10. I am officially over The Flash. Barry's selfishness will probably result in another Flash Day. I am sick and tired of Arrow having to turn itself inside out to adjust to - not to mention set up - other shows in the shared universe that now includes superpowers and time travel. I am also sick and tired of the attitude that something's great just because it's in the comics. The comics are not infallible and have tons of flaws. Please keep Arrow far, far away from whatever happens on The Flash (or LoT for that matter). Please remember that not every Arrow fan watches The Flash.

  12. New Joss Whedon project... Joss Whedon Reveals Clues About His New, Non-Marvel Script (Exclusive) Meriah Doty on May 22, 2016 @ 2:34 pm http://www.thewrap.com/joss-whedon-reveals-clues-about-his-new-non-marvel-script-exclusive/
  13. The last quoted sentence below might explain why The Flash has higher ad rates but earns The CW less ad revenue than Arrow (re previously posted articles and discussion) - advertisers are willing to pay higher rates to air their ads during a show that features fewer ads (and their willingness is due to the show's higher ratings); then the CW can use the other commercial breaks to run promos of their lower-rated shows... After Snagging Supergirl, The CW Will Devote 40% of Its Fall Schedule to Superhero Shows DC Comics series kick off Monday through Thursday By Jason Lynch May 19, 2016, 9:44 AM EDT http://www.adweek.com/news/television/after-snagging-supergirl-cw-will-devote-40-its-fall-schedule-superhero-shows-171570
  14. I mostly agree with this. I think there still would've been complaints about her Oliver's love-related storyline because it deviates from the GA/BC "because comics" storyline. However, I agree that her popularity is a big factor. This should've been expected, I guess. It happens all the time with celebrities. Someone gets famous and put up on a pedestal as someone universally adored - and then they get knocked down and criticized (example: Jennifer Lawrence). There's also the element of making Felicity into more of a complex, three-dimensional character (and not just a 2-D comic relief/IT support character). Now we know her flaws and weaknesses and there's something to criticize. The same thing will happen with Curtis as we learn more about him. No one is perfect, so unless a character remains cartoony, we'll find out both their good traits and their bad traits. I was trying to think of the right term, but the only phrases I can think of are "familiarity breeds contempt" and the "tall poppy syndrome" - neither of which is exactly right.
  15. I simply see no reason why the full-page spread in TV Guide couldn't have featured the season finales for both Flash and Arrow - both occurring this same week.
  16. I'm looking forward to the season finale, but mostly because I'm curious as to how this season ends (and sets up next season) and where all the characters end up.
  17. I think it's going to be difficult to make the ratings specifically Arrow-relevant, in a subjective way, when there are a variety of opinions in this forum.
  18. If the network is the one who pays for full-page spreads in TV Guide, then what does it say that The CW paid for a full-page spread on The Flash's season finale - which is already its highest-rated show - but did nothing to promote Arrow's season finale (or any of its other shows)?
  19. Remember, SA will be on Live with Kelly (f/k/a Live with Kelly and Michael) on May 25, at 9:00am EST, on ABC... http://livekelly.com/guide/may-25-2016/
  20. The "never seen/done before" quotes from the EPs this season (also, SA said that we'll see a side of Oliver in the finale that we've never seen before; and DR said that Diggle will be different by the end of the season)...
