Yeah, I was mystified by the roots thing until I started noticing several celebrity women with them. These were people who could well-afford not to be seen with their hair looking bad so I wondered if it was a momentary trend. Yep, per the googles it's a style called shadow roots or melted roots, and some hair salons are charging thousands of dollars to create the effect. Okay. Or who wants to see a plot of said child's parents making his dire illness all about themselves? Speaking of which, why was Chelsea wheeling her luggage all over town yesterday? She took it up to Adam's condo when she followed him in, and then she rolled it into Crimson Lights while she sat talking to Billy. Couldn't she have left it in her car until she actually went home?

Traci should come out of Alan's kitchen and say Ratatouille helped her make a charcuterie board. I think Nate and Audra are platonic friends so I wouldn't expect him to be in love with her. At best it seems to me there might be sexual attraction between them but that could be due to the Tucker factor. They're both jealous IMO. At least from earlier this week when Alan revealed he had a bad twin. Up until then I think it mostly just a weird vibe about Alan, which for me started with why Traci had to pay for his 1st-class flight to GC.

When this Alan/Martin stuff is settled, I'm gonna need Traci to issue a gigantic mea culpa to Ashley, Abby, and Jack for failing them so hard. It was "I'm always right," mother hen Traci who enabled Ashley's psychological scavenger hunt in Paris instead of getting her treatment back in the US for her mental break. AFAIC Ashley should have been committed for medical help weeks ago and Traci knew it better than anyone. Furthermore, I expect Jack to do some self-evaluation over the way he let his hatred of Tucker override his good sense. Tucker had more than an inkling something was seriously wrong with Ash but haughty Jack would automatically dismiss his concerns. Also, when Abby finds out (yeah, sure) about this whole DID disaster she better chew out her aunt and uncle for not telling her what was going on with her mommy. Imagine if Alan/Martin kills or critically injures Ashley over in Paris and Abby barely has an idea who he even is. It is ridiculous. I don't see Billy as a part of this storyline except for his having said Ashley should be left to make her own decisions about her life. I'm not giving him a pass; I'm declaring him a non-entity on this matter.

Me at about 57 minutes into today's episode: OH SH!T! It IS Martin!!!!!!😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 Hurry up, Tucker! You have to save Ashley! Bravo, JG. Most of audience probably suspected an Alan/Martin switcheroo but the step-by-step way you delivered the reveal was fantastic. I take back 79.62654% of the crap I've said about you as YR's head writer. I'm still on the fence though whether Alan and Martin are separate people or whether one of them is an alter. What are the odds Ashley would not only make friends with someone who has DID, but then turn around and get DID herself? It's not contagious!

Even Book knows Burnham's catch phrase is lame. But maybe it shouldn't have been. I've never felt SM-G was right for the role of a starship captain. It has seemed to me many unfortunate writing choices were made to make Burnham look simultaneously smarter, stronger, and more feminine than anyone in her cohort. Not that femininity is the antithesis of strength or intelligence, but I think the people producing this show seemed to try to make her too perfect in all those attributes. Instead of being admirably self-confident, she just comes across to me as obnoxiously overconfident but extremely lucky.

I don't know why someone would put themselves through that. And "Butta"? Cue up the "buttaface" jokes. Deen learned his lesson the hard, permanent way. Right in his poor grandma's kitchen. Ronnie is ice cold. Yes but they're from 30 years ago. Most of those products have changed a lot since then.

EB has been reading his lines off the props for years. I think they used to have cue cards for him but with advances in technology now they can have Victor staring at his phone or a tablet. What annoys me about it is how disengaged EB often seems to be with whoever he's in a scene with. They have to look at him and act like they're talking to him while he's behaving as if he couldn't care less. It seems rude and disrespectful to the other actors to me.

Conner Floyd (Chance) was at the Bad Boys: Ride or Die movie premiere recently: Unless IMDb hasn't been updated for either him or the film, he's not in the cast. That would've been quite a get for him, even in a minor role.

Not sure why Reno called Stamets "Space Dad." I thought Space Dad was Pike. Yeah, that was some great acting when Culber became Jinaal. His voice and whole affect was visibly different.
