AFAIC this Alan/Martin storyline is unnecessarily complicated if multiple characters have to spend multiple episodes explaining it. There've been enough exposition dumps to fill the Grand Canyon. Right there with ya, Summer. Why Martin would target Sharon and Phyllis together still makes zero sense, and your mommy's incoherent theories don't help. Oh brother, Summer has realized Martin was living at the Abbott manse with Harrison. Wonder how long it'll take her to make that Claire's fault? Works for me. Sci-fi is super hot right now.

Phyllis' trench was odd to me. It was a very thin fabric so I don't know how much protection it would provide if she got caught outside in the rain. Yeah, is a guy having unkempt hair supposed to be a tell? Adam/Martin mainly looked to me like he had jet lag and had been drinking too much on the flight over from Paris. On a slightly tangential note, I tried watching one of the elebenty gabillion movie and TV adaptations of The Count of Monte Cristo. It was an effort to try to understand this Aristotle Dumas stuff JG has come up with. Nope, the Aristotle Dumas storyline still doesn't make sense to me. Plus, I couldn't even get through the whole movie because it was so freaking boring! At least that part Y&R is getting right. 😉

I thought maybe this part of the episode was ripped from a Canadian (CBC) true crime podcast called "The Banned Teacher." A popular music teacher was grooming students to accept increasing levels of physical intimacy until they were having full-on intercourse with him. The school authorities were loath to turn him in because he'd claim it was consensual, and either most of his victims wouldn't contradict him or law enforcement would accuse them of lying. The teacher ended up moving from school to school all over the country with impunity, leaving a trail of teenaged victims in his wake.

Det. Chancellor resembled a deer caught in the headlights when he had Phyllis, Sharon, and Nick barraging him with questions all at once. You need to stop being so generous with your benefit of the doubt, Jackie. Traci clearly doubted the guy in her room was Alan, so I was puzzled why she was spending a lot of time arguing with him. The set confused me at first too until I remembered that all the Abbotts have moved into the GCAC while the Abbott manse is being renovated. A while back Traci said she had her own wing in the family home but all the rooms there seem way darker than those bright GCAC suites.

Was Chance shooting his shot with Summer or was he threatening to dump her as a friend? Either way, I'm glad he told her to stop complaining to him about Kyle. As if the surface of the sun could give a sh!t about minor space debris. So Sharon, Phyllis, and Nick hadn't heard about what happened to Ashley with Alan/Martin? Seems to me the story would've been in the local news media since it involved the Abbotts (and Tucker McCall). Hmm. Traci mentioned she had been married to Steve Connelly for 20 years. It must've been mostly off-screen, no? I only remember her & Brad. Yep, Christian is the one Newman heir who's still a blank slate. If they turned him into a new and improved version of Uncle/Daddy Adam (who IMO is an iffy black sheep at this point) that'd be amazing.

Yeah, I went back and re-watched it. Barbara said she could get some high profile people from her church to show up. I thought they were the drug dealers and Barbara hadn't realized before that's what they were until Melissa said it. So now I'm wondering why Ava knows so many drug dealers.

Come on, why would Ashley of all people sic Alan/Martin on Sharon and Phyllis? Surely this is not the backstory Show is going with. TMW you find your girlfriend having drinks with an enemy of yours. Nate's been having quite an eventful day, no small thanks to Audra's shadiness. Chance, you are too gorgeous to be sitting there listening to Summer whine about Kyle. Sigh, what a waste. Meh, I'm not a fan of this "color of the day" thing the new wardrobe person is doing. Nate, Damian, and Devon standing together all wearing purple but no one in the room pointing out was silly to me.

Sharon's didn't quite fit her, IMO.

They tried to make Cane the object of Traci's crush and he made it obvious he didn't want Cane to be any part of a romance with Traci. Allegedly he thought it would hurt his brand as a leading man. There was some other rumored BTS stuff that wasn't great either.

Problem is, that site is notorious for publishing pure clickbait scoops they mostly pull out of thin air.

You know you're watching too much Y&R when you hear them play Rock On on the oldies station and you immediately think of Danny Romalotti. 🤯

Ehh, Jack, do you really want your employees playing you against Victor for bribes? Even if you can afford it, the only real winner in that situation would be the person who's double-dealing. Keyser Söze is a classic whodunnit movie character who unfortunately was played by an excellent actor who turned out be an awful person.

Billy didn't tell the Phyllis about the person he has at Chancellor feeding him inside information. Hmm. WTAF? Why did they have Lily bouncing back and forth between the jazz lounge and Society? Damian, AFAIC you need to tell Lily and Nate to kiss your whole @$$. You don't owe them any explanations for anything, and they're not going stop feeling justified to come at you. Was Phyllis actually suggesting Sally weaponize her cooch against Billy's scheme to snatch Chancellor back? Oy. Jackie, you might as well kiss that money goodbye. Billy keeps lying right to your face about not seeking revenge. Protecting your investment will not be his priority.

The young actor who plays Connor, Judah Mackey, was on FBI: Most Wanted last night (CBS). He played a kid whose dad was randomly poisoning people. The end of the episode was heartbreaking as the boy had to watch the FBI agents fatally shoot his father, and then turn their guns on him. I think it must have been filmed a while ago because Judah definitely did not look as tall or old as he does on Y&R now. ALL. OF. THIS. I think Amy is one of the most unintentionally repugnant guest characters this show has ever had. And I feel bad for the actress because she is a beautiful woman but has to look like a craven hag for this role. Even evil Jordan got to wear better wigs.

I think several cast members have had noticeable weight losses, including the telltale gauntness in their faces. At least MCE hasn't gotten a "Barbie nose" which seems to be popular right now: From the googles AI:
