  1. I wonder if it's a post-prod budget issue. It probably costs money to modulate their voices, and they just don't care enough to spend that cash. They probably keep doing it for Oliver because they always have. Or maybe Stephen's able to do some of that with his own voice, although this ep he sounded like he was being interviewed on the news anonymously.
  2. The idea of THIS Oliver running for mayor still cracks me up, and it'll be even more amusing if he does it at the urging of Quentin who basically told him he sucked and was terrible and was the reason why the city is rotting to hell just last week. Especially if he throws in a crack about signing the city over to someone else, and does it all basically to get Oliver killed. I'd want Quentin to die even more than I already do, haha.
  3. Plus, it's a running joke that everyone on Game of Thrones dies. People go into it knowing that anyone is on the chopping block. I'm not really interested in that-makes it difficult to get super invested in anyone. I don't want Arrow to be like that (they don't have the cast size for it anyway).
  4. He said he didn't want to go back to Starling, that he knew the darkness was waiting for him there, and he didn't want to be that guy anymore. The life they were living where he was sure about marrying Felicity isn't the life that they're living anymore. Last year when he had this (kinda stupid) identity question, he decided he wanted to be Oliver Queen. If he's gonna be the Green Arrow, I'm sure he wants to figure out how that's gonna work (if it's gonna work) before he and Felicity commit to each other and settle down. Yay growth that they're actually still together and living together, and he didn't break it off the second they left suburbia!

  6. I'm pretty sure it was the gravesite scene they were referring to. PB said it haunts the rest of the season, which that certainly will considering we don't know who died.
  7. I posted this in some other thread, but I feel like once we know who died, that funeral scene is going to seem stupid (not enough emotion for who it is, or maybe too much. People missing because they couldn't be around in order to not give away the identity of the dead person, etc.)
  8. I think her jacket is unzipped, it's just that the turtleneck is pretty indistinguishable from the jacket.
  9. And she apologized for it? Like...what is the big deal? Everyone says hateful things in the heat of the moment. Oliver's snapped at her a fair amount of times, too.
  10. You can pretty much get a decent view at most superheroes' faces in the right light, but at least they're making an attempt to conceal their identities. Not trying to argue about it - I've accepted the fact that Laurel/the show don't give a shit about her going out there undisguised except for the mask. Won't ever stop thinking it's stupid considering she's a district attorney, though.
  11. The light burst is interesting, because for a hot second I thought she was wearing a veil.
  12. He didn't discuss it with Felicity before hand, she basically really didn't have a choice but to consent, because there wasn't any information given to her until Oliver had already put her in the middle of a trap. But I guess I don't think that really matters in the context of my argument, which is more about what Oliver himself was willing to do to win, not what other people were willing to let him do to win. The fact that Diggle knew that Oliver was both willing and able to put Felicity in Slade's hands (without discussing it with her first) without any kind of guarantee of her safety should've been pretty eye opening (if Diggle's eyes weren't already open) about the lengths Oliver was willing to go to in order to win.
  13. HAHA, that's one of the reasons I think it's him.
  14. Yeah, maybe it'd make him angrier. But I still believe the actual sentiment he expressed came from Pod!Diggle.
  15. I would've felt better about the jab IF the writers felt it was necessary for whatever reason if it had come before Lyla had that talk with him about how Oliver doesn't always make the best decisions, and that's why he needs Diggle. Like, she basically told him she was okay with it and he needed to chill, but somehow that made him even more pissed off? Makes no sense.
  16. He said they would "get these guys eventually."
  17. Oh, most definitely. The whole force has a combined IQ of 12.
