I mean, maybe she thinks it IS the best thing she's written, haha. I just don't think there's any way to really know that based on the tweet.

She seems to l love the comics a lot, so I can see why she'd be proud of successfully working something in like the boxing glove arrow. The comment just didn't scream, "This is my highest quality writing," or anything, just something fun that she was proud of.

How does her favorite moment reflect on the quality of her writing, though? I'm not arguing that she was great or anything, but it's a personal opinion about her own body of work that probably has a lot of reasoning behind it that we don't know about.

I actually loved the boxing glove arrow. I think it's fine. There might be a story behind it that makes it special to her.

I think it might have something to do with the accent.

Let's hope it's just .05 seconds. O/L are no for me, but I am pretty curious about when that kiss happened, and basically just want to tune in to see how just how much of a steaming pile of garbage they make those two with regards to Tommy. Again. I'll hold out hope that it was pre death until the show beats it out of me. And it probably will.

It's sad that he has to say it at all given that Oliver and Felicity were, you know, together and planning to get married while Laurel was still kicking.

I don't mean to be snarky, but who cares what Oliver says to her? She's dead, haha. Even if he still loved Laurel in a way - and I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks he did, even though he didn't really treat her that way - it doesn't change the way he feels about Felicity. I highly doubt he's going to stand there and confess to a headstone that he now realizes that she was the love of his life, too.

I really hope that Papa Smoak gets out of Iron Heights and winds up doing something positive to maybe help turn around Felicity's belief that people can't/don't change. Help the team with some insider info? IDK...something good.

I think there would've been more of a response if the death had been unexpected (for the general audience). So far they all pretty much have been. We were flat-out told in the first ep that someone was biting it, all that was left was finding out who it was.

Right, but my point is that if you were a reviewer whose opinion of her *had* changed, and thought that was the result of TPTB actively trying to make her character work, the decision to kill her off would be confusing. Like, why put the effort into rehabilitating a character just to off them right when (for them) it started working?

If you were someone who thought the show was actively trying to improve her character, then I can see why it might be surprising for them to kill her off right when it started working (speaking specifically about those people who thought she was growing on them/getting better recently).

I don't think they intentionally replanted anything. Oliver didn't reciprocate any of Laurel's feelings (and even she said she knew she wasn't the love of Oliver's life) - his only response was to ask why she was telling him that. It could not have been more one-sided there.

I can't say for sure, but I think it has more to do with the time of year. The weather is nicer (for the most part), spring sports are starting up, and people just don't sit in front of the TV like they did in the winter - not just for Arrow, but for anything. DVRs and online streaming make taking a break a lot less of a hassle these days than it used to be.

It's tough to say, because this drop is something that happens every spring with Arrow, usually right around this ep (if I'm not mistaken).
