  1. That certainly explains her new 'do. Everyone: Sorry, Thorunn, but that style's not really working for you. Thorunn: Shut up! (feverishly braiding more loops) I'll show you! You're not the boss of me!
  2. And that would be another plot point to "borrow" from Big Love!
  3. I'm not exactly sure where to post this, but these GG candles just popped up on my Facebook feed and I had to share. They're cool...and yet creepy at the same time. https://www.etsy.com/listing/223653209/complete-set-golden-girls-prayer-candles?utm_source=OpenGraph&utm_medium=PageTools&utm_campaign=Share
  4. The outerwear this past episode was just awesome. Anika's wardrobe hasn't impressed me much, but that grey wool coat and the scarf she wore when leaving Chez Lucious were so classy. Then she followed it up with that second grey coat with the shiny silver shoulders and sleeves. Jamal had a really sharp grey coat this episode too. Then, to cap it all off, Rhonda showed up in that beige jacket with the leather sleeves! *dies*
  5. F is for the Fiance Blanche would have married if she hadn't met George at the University Club Cotillion.
  6. D is for Dorothy, who wouldn't even exist if Sophia hadn't had children. (Unless she really was switched at birth...)
  7. Do you mean like an alternate GG universe? A is for Appetizers at the Hacienda Hut, which Dorothy could have bought and enjoyed herself if there had been no Michael to take her money.
  8. Wasn't the debt $3K or so? That's a whole lot of long sleeved t-shirts and pajama pants. It must be so mentally exhausting to keep all of these stories and timelines straight. I'd love to hook every last one of the Brown adults up to a polygraph machine.
  9. T is for Travel and Theater, which all of the girls could claim as hobbies on their profile.
  10. Please, Maryswetbar, on behalf of us all, tell it like it is and go out with a bang!
  11. No, you are not. I second that emotion.
  12. I wasn't poking fun at Christine's accent so much as her penchant for "unique" name spellings. (When it comes to different pronunciation, Robyn's way of speaking has actually stood out to me the most.) But yeah, I'm also going to have to watch out for Christine changing her voice depending on her audience now that you've pointed it out!
  13. Thanks for the info, Milz, you're speaking my language. I'm tall, so even if I had $300 to drop on the cape I'd be worried that it would be too cropped on me. A $15 pattern that comes in lengths is a much more sensible idea! Now, is there an easy and cheap way to replicate Cookie's furs? :)
  14. Well, we know Christine's still not participating in MSWC, or else this line would be called something like, "Oddry Bhyll."
  15. Nah, just rip the vinyl off a booth at a local restaurant and I'll sew you a gown. I hope you like "Ren Faire Chic." :)
  16. Speaking for myself, no. I don't doubt that there could have been significant financial and/or legal advantages to one or more of the wives and their children by "restructuring" the family. For me, the honeymoon in Hawaii is the bridge too far. You don't celebrate adoption, access to financial aid, mortgage refinancing, or whatever, by running off to the islands with just the new wife.
  17. M is for Rose trying out for (and landing the role of Lady M. in) Macbeth. I can't imagine her having any interest in the play, and not in a million years can I picture her having the understanding let alone the "presence" to carry the main female role.
  18. Wow. Just wow. Obviously this article is speculation and we may never know the truth behind everything, but as far as I'm concerned this is proving the old saying that water seeks its own level. Kody and Robyn are lower than the Dead Sea.
  19. Remember towards the end of Titanic, when cowardly, slimy, totally unredeemable Billy Zane grabs some random kid as his ticket onto a lifeboat? If doing that could get me into Children's the day the Chrises visit then I now totally understand his motivation. :)
  20. I was wondering about the house situation too. Poor Christine. Always a sister bridesmaid, never a sister bride.
  21. Holy cow. I was able to find a record of a marriage certificate for Robyn and Kody too. Is it cynical of me to assume that this was done for legal and/or financial reasons on Robyn's behalf? I actually feel sorry for Meri.
  22. Z is for Road to Zanzibar, which starred Rose's fantasy dad, Bob Hope. I got to choose the last topic so if anyone has an idea feel free to jump in!
  23. Does anyone know of a site that offers info about the wardrobe items? I usually rely on wornontv.net but they aren't covering Empire, at least not yet.
