  1. Sally. It was a nerve wracking summer, real nail biter, not knowing what survived from the foundry.
  2. I'll play. What would improve her character - stop assuming/ telling the viewers she knows any character any better than anyone else. We don't believe it. clock King was Sarah/Felicity " dance " to accept each other's place/role in the team. Respect/trust was earned in that Episode for each other by each other. It didn't always show/ translate properly onscreen but that's how my friends and I interpreted that episode. Laurel should be shown to want to earn a spot, show some humility in her abilities/ need to acknowledge her shortcomings (" but not them" - was not it), approach Digg/Felicity - wanting to earn their respect. Everyone (including Laurel) should stop describing Laurel as some paragon. Add substance to her motivations. "My bf died saving me so I'm going to hunt the vigilante, oh wait I'm not, I'll date an alderman, his eyes are shifty, need to stalk him and prove that he is bad". Finally I don't trust Laurel's judgment/instincts. Why should Team Arrow? She had to know Oliver was cheating on her while she was dating him. She couldn't read him worth nothing. She was completely clueless/couldn't care that Oliver/Tommy were fighting. Thea looked at Moira/Oliver and knew they were fighting. I need Laurel the character to acknowledge that she was also blind to what she didn't want to see. I get that Writers tried to go there ( maybe) with Quentin questioning Laurel on why she is hesitating with blood. But it became more about proving blood was evil than her inner demons about why she would just go there.
  3. Yes. Let's pretend LL scenes did not happen. Latest theory from the fellows here is that Felicity finds out about her father. Slade uses it against her somehow. Last scene, she leaves to find her father. Not corrupted but loyalty divided. Close enough.
  4. Laurel versus Sarah rivalry in Laurel's head makes sense to me. We, viewers, see narcissism but that cannot be the characteristic writers were going for. Heroic rising from being betrayed by two people she loved and how she overcame it by becoming an legal eagle crusader. But her first couple of scenes with Oliver were awful. I wanted Oliver to get away and stay away. I find it interesting that Caity's Canary/Sarah has been accepted so well, having had a such a negative start to her story. A while back, I read this blog (I'm sure all you have read by now), a writer was dissecting the elements of the arrow narrative. One blog posting compared the first meet scene with Laurel/Oliver to Felicity/Oliver - Explained why one was successfully received and the other was not. I think if we compared Sarah's first meet with team arrow to laurel's first meet. We'd get the same conclusions. http://www.arghink.com/2014/01/20/writing-the-first-meet-scene-arrow/ - if anyone wants to have a gander. The writer has ceased following Arrow. First set of articles were good though.
  5. That is what I was trying to figure out, now that we are at the finale. Was that monologue foreshadowing or Slade just twirling his evil moustache and the EPs just teasing with no consequence.
  6. So I guess back to the original theories of Felicity being corrupted then.
  7. Ok - it was the Arrow season 2.5 trailer from CW that I was thinking of ( for round two) where during Slade's monologue they show Sara (rip away), Quentin/Roy/Diggle (follow), corrupt (Thea/Laurel/ maybe Moira). You guys beat me to it. I'm trying to score Slade's promise against what has happened. Thea corrupted then. Quentin/Roy - not really destroyed, just out of commission. Sarah rip away still to come? Felicity - corrupt. Oh I forgot laurel - well she corrupted the lair.
  8. In Three Ghosts, Slade's BIG monologue- they showed felicity (corrupt those he loves), Quentin/Roy for those who follow and want to be like him (or something). By now, Blood/Slade directly or indirectly have targeted Quentin/Roy and had put both out of commission for awhile. Felicity is the only one left. Anyone remember who they showed in the second round of that monologue?
  9. OR Slade makes Felicity choose between Laurel and Oliver. She chooses Oliver. Felicity corrupted. Boom! Ok .. It's still wishful thinking on my part.
  10. Magic green herbs, of course. Nature's birth control!
  11. What disengages me from her character and her whole arc is everyone acting like LL did something no one else could. Bugging blood's office and Quentin gushing after that she would make a great spy, blah blah (..really show.. Felicity can create bugs.. I don't see her asking for a noble prize!). Just senseless over the top gushing for simple things. Digg/felicity don't make a big deal about putting themselves at risk for others. They deal with the fallout and move on. But the world stops when LL experiences anything notable. I think I would (maybe) not FF her scenes or be irritated if everyone around her didn't treat her like a cherished doll at every turn. My friends and I alternate our reactions between "oh look laurel is doing something .. She's moving a convenient plot point along" and now cue cast member who will gush at her. The psychology student would probably hazard a theory that she has low esteem and needs constant validation. Oh wait, that would be the writers.
  12. What if the island scene is 5 years later, felicity and Oliver wake up with no memory. Episode 1 of season 3 - they go back and meet up with black canary and suddenly hardcore manhunter/DA. Only way laurel suddenly is superhero worthy- time jump! ~Shudder~ Now that's unthinkable!
  13. Something that I found odd was the scene where Diggle/Felicity meet up with Oliver/Laurel, Diggle asks "you okay?" laurel just assumes Diggle is talking to her.
  14. Not spoiler related but speculation on the tidbits we know. It's just that when I look back at the last six months. If EBR is locked down for season 3, the following scenario makes some sense to me. EPs realizing that there are Too many leading ladies. Sarah and Felicity are being critically received well, also strong arrow fan base. They decide to cut laurel from the roster. Stephen Amell suddenly backpedals on olicity and laurel gets her big story and redemption with Oliver saying he loves her in the finale- big sendoff for KC. If Sarah was going to die next week, wouldn't Caity Lotz be maximizing her PR opportunity while she has it. Ok, I will admit this scenario has a pinch and dash of wishful thinking/bargaining.
  15. Here is where I read it. http://www.zap2it.com/blogs/arrow_season_2_finale_spoilers_and_airdate-2014-04 Optimist in me would like to agree with you. Definitely LL.
  16. What made me nervous was Stephen Amell posting that "he was flabbergasted" when he read the script. Sarah dying would not do that. Everyone and their dog is waiting in fear of that. Laurel dying would be a surprise but flabbergast-ment? He is very aware of fan opinions. That's why I was thinking everyone's fave IT expert may be it. I'll stop watching if they kill off Felicity and keep Laurel.
  17. Last episode was good for so many parts. But like many here, everytime she who shall not be named (I like that moniker) came on, I was like "oh look it's KC getting a scene she was excited about, KC being a big sister, it's KC trying to be motivational mentor". Completely pulled me out of the scene. I like Diggle/Isabel fight. It was good pace fight but we knew Digg was going to come up short against the resurrected terminator. Did not expect the van. Makes me wonder what Isabel was going to say? "You brought back Oliver, I hate you" OR "I knew your father and I hate him too". Airbags line was good. Like everyone else, F/O pep talk was so much better than S/L. Not just better acted but better written. I'm sure someone out there will do a transcript comparison. Loved Quentin, Thea and captain Jack. I went into the episode nervous, enjoyed watching it but walked away nervous for Felicity and Sarah.
  18. That's a relief to hear. Hopefully not a misdirection in social media.
  19. First time poster! Love the discussions here. Do we know for sure that EBR is in season 3? I thought I had heard Sarah was confirmed for season 3. It would be sad if Felicity dies in finale because EBR "is going places" according to Colton's tweet. Very sad.
