I still remember the one episode when they went to support some movie (Fireproof?) and after watching it JBlob said that he would take his family to the movies if more good Christian ones like that were made. I remember shouting "No way!" First of all it would be him, JShell, and at least 10 of the kids. 12 people x $12 per person (give or take - don't know their movie prices) = $144! NO WAY is Mr. Buy Used and Save the Difference going to pay $144 so his family can be entertained for 2 houses. Who buys this crap that comes outta his mouth? But yet again we should all go see these movies and support them with our $$

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode! To think Dustin's great-grandma was in the U.S. when he was a young boy but yet he didn't know her. What they went through! And I adore Mia and her love of her kids. But I wonder if it will be hard that she has this wonderful chart and stories and most of her kids know nothing of their backgrounds.

What is sad is that I have a child around Jana's age. She was asked in her senior year of high school "what are you going to do next?" The world was her oyster. Jana gets asked about one thing: "When are you going to be a courtin?" There really can't be anything else for her (oh I know, the semi-mid-wife thing. But, come on. She is chief babysitter for MeShell.) So let me get this straight. They don't watch t.v. except for a few Andy Griffith shows, but yet we all are suppose to watch them on t.v. religiously and support that as their income. They don't listen to contemporary Christian music but we all are suppose to support BinTheRapper by downloading his crap. No double standard there folks!

It would be so so refreshing to hear him say that they are done having kids. It is my gut feeling that is part of his problem that he really doesn't want more and panics at the thought of funding/raising more and feels that is a sin to say so. Or if he stood up for Anna and said "No more kids. I don't want my wife to one day have a laundry room breakdown like mom." Or even better "There is no way Mack is going to spend her childhood being a mother's helper because we have too many kids to handle." One can dream.

Good point! When does he grow up and make his own decisions? My guess is that he still needs mommy and daddy's money, now that he blew his on hookers, so he obeys.

Hadn't even thought about that - along the lines of what you guys are saying, what if they don't get jobs/bookings? Do they blame the kids? "You didn't play the trumpet right now we are never going to be asked to come back to this church?" or "You were yawning and they audience doesn't like that. That is why the offering/our paycheck was so low." Ugh! I hope not!

I was wondering if Joshy has been sprung. Suppose he will go back home and work for dad. He had such a good thing going in Washington: a job he was never trained for - got without a degree - far away from daddy and mummy - and yet he blew it all. Idiot.

I like the one little girl yawning in the video Becca posted. She doesn't even bother covering her mouth - she is tired and will let you know. It is sad when the kids are a source of family income. All playing together for a Christmas concert each year, or at a nursing home once a month, things like that are fine but having to depend on the kids to make your family income - just no. Parents that is your job! So go get a job or two!

Miles had a much better body of work. Sef and Vivian are only there because of the last piece. Miles room divider was genius. I want one! I hope he gets a lot of work now that he is home. Don't care for either Sef or Vivian's work.

I have been asking that question for a LONG time! JB will talk about just about anything else but that. I would think any "child" over 18 would have to get their own paycheck but then again JShell and JimBoob could talk them into signing that check over for "rent and food."

Didn't know that she had been to prison either! I hope she got that ear looked at. I still think she should have called in medics and had them look for infection.

I was hoping for more weird Al. I really liked the Tim Meadows character ("heck ya I can change your grade") but all of the yelling between Barry and Erika has got to stop!!! So tired of it. Best part was when Bev confronted Al and after she left she said something to the effect "I pay you guys for security and you let this one get near me."

They may have competitive streaks, but come on!! You marry into or part of a very large family, all with the same goal (get married ASAP and have lots of babies) you must know your moment in the spotlight will always be short lived.
