  1. It appears to be about the tag line "No Sesame, all Street" that crossed the line.
  2. No, The Vulture kept his booking at the original venue (and hosted a block part of some description) just to be a dick because they blew up his engagement.
  3. I LOVE EVERYTHING!!! Only wedding of importance this weekend.
  4. Wait, if they go on in the spring, will there be a Halloween episode?
  5. Do you mean Alfonso Herrerra? I think that might be overloading the hotness for one family. They might as well be a series of romance novels about hot brothers finding love ... now that I've said that can someone please get onto writing that series??
  6. There's a new Robin Hood starring Taron Egerton. I do love Taron but there's no need for a Robin Hood reinterpretation -- he's not an animated fox, Alan Rickman is not in this, and there are no men in tights. All other Robin Hoods are superfluous.
  7. True but if even a sober Holt and Peralta (Hangry!Terry probably wasn't much help) working for over an hour on a puzzle couldn't solve it, I suspect there were flaws in the design of the scavenger hunt. I mean, the very fact that it was six hours long, starting at a time when the others reasonably believed they would be going to dinner is problematic.
  8. Can we talk about Amy's bachelorette jumpsuit? I didn't notice it until she jumped on the bar. Loved it but you do not want to get drunk in a jumpsuit - either they are hard to get off and it's bad or they are easy to get off and that's also bad.
  9. I can hardly believe Andy Samberg knows who that is (I had to Google it). Another great episode -- I loved Holt being so honest and decent (and potentially torpedoing his own career again, some more -- whoever the guy on the selection committee was, he has to be powerful). Also, Gina's relationship with Holt is really a high point for her -- their interactions demonstrate her crazy but also her competence, drive, and loyalty. I love that Jake understands that jealousy is an ugly emotion. Also, he may not be good with words but he clearly is a puzzle master -- he figured out the "Marry Me" clues very fast. This show delights me. If Fox cancels it I may have to burn them to the ground.
  10. Is that Sterling K Brown? Has he been accused of something? Are you using him as the "replacement" option?
  11. Finally watched - I love them so much!!! ETA: I was going to elaborate, point to specific moments that were delightful, but really every moment was delightful -- Jake and Holt are the best and I love the development of their relationship from the "meep-morp robot" moment of the first episode to the mutual respect and admiration of this one. I loved every moment of this episode, from Jake making the interrogation room as uncomfortable as possible through to Jake and Holt going back into the office after pulling an all-nighter (although, if I were them I still would have been like, "I'm outie, bye!").
  12. Oh, I forgot that -- he's had three Oscar nominations but only one for lead. I guess I just feel like he's in a weird place where he's simultaneously regarded as a serious actor but also sort of a joke in the industry? Perhaps it's his association with Matthew McConaughy, where Matthew had his "McConnaissance" and became Serious Actor Man, Woody ... hasn't? Maybe I'm clinging to an outdated narrative on him but he just generally seems slightly underappreciated in the industry.
  13. Agreed on Woody -- no one would have guessed that from the Cheers run!! I think his outspoken support of marijuana legalization hurt his chances to be a big-time player (I would be amazed if he got another Oscar nom) but he picks solid franchises, solid indies ... he's got a pretty good eye and his mortgage is surely paid, you know what I mean?
  14. Last week I clicked a link to a news site (I can't remember which one) but it started autoplaying a video that I literally could not find on the page. I scrolled and scrolled and finally just had to close the tab because I couldn't stop it and was too annoyed to adjust my speakers.
  15. Every once in a while these picture shows kind of make me love that messy bitch Ian Ziering.
  16. I did love Hitchcock immediately volunteering to hide in a closet when he heard there was someone there to interview people. Self-awareness is key.
  17. All of the media I've seen says all of the proceeds of LWT's book are going to their charities, while a portion of the proceeds from Pence's book are going to their charities. And industry reports say the publisher has ordered reprints totaling 400,000 copies.
  18. I had those discount coupons -- those coupons are an interesting relic, though, since you can't use them online or at a self-serve kiosk. The most recently upgraded theatre in my area eliminated all but two cash desks -- they are clearly aiming to remove human interaction from the movie-going experience so those coupons are going to have to upgrade or be a thing of the past. The first time I encountered reserved seating at a movie theatre was in Kenya over 10 years ago, long before I ever saw it here. It was the absolute norm for all movies but if you went to live theatre it would be open seating -- the exact opposite of our expectations here. But I loved it there and I love it here. Especially now that runtimes seem to be getting longer and longer and there's at least 30 minutes of ads before every movie, I'm committing enough of my time to see a film, I would rather spend the hour beforehand having a pleasant meal rather than standing in line hoping for a decent seat.
  19. Same question. He hasn't done any S10 stories yet -- is PTV no longer recapping RPDR?
  20. Sorry, did I miss a memo? Where are my Blanken-caps for season 10?
  21. I'm definitely going to call you on that. Honestly, I find Hollywood men so interchangeable that if there are too many men with the same colour hair I get them confused. Also, David Boreanaz is 10 years older than Cavill, Tatum, or Pine -- definitely not going for the same roles. I think Boreanaz just seriously lucked into Bones, which was one of those mediocre-to-terrible procedurals that defy all logic and reason by running for over a decade, at which point he's got the good reputation of being reliable on set (12 years and only one minor scandal) and has an undiscerning fanbase so why not plop him into another mediocre-to-terrible procedural that builds on his existing "army/sniper" character type? He also perfectly fits the "police procedural male lead" mold -- white male with dark hair. Bones came out in 2005 around the same time as Kitchen Confidential with Nicholas Brendon. I had the opportunity to see all the episodes of Kitchen Confidential that were made and it was HILARIOUS -- it was absolutely tragic that it was cancelled after only two or three episodes and Nicholas Brendon was (and probably still is) an infinitely better actor than David Boreanaz. If anything, Boreanaz chose a mundane project with greater chance of longevity versus the more daring effort of KC, which was probably a bit ahead of its time. (Admittedly, coming off Kitchen Confidential Nicholas Brendon did not do as well as those costars -- Bradley Cooper, John Cho, John Francis Daley -- but I still think Boreanaz's continued employment has more to do with luck and the power of mediocrity than anything else.) Full disclosure: I've watched a LOT of Bones on Netflix and with familiarity grew contempt -- I've come to hate it with a fiery passion.
